Sub Chunk, electronic music producers duo. Born and raised in Bogotá, the city that has witnessed how, for the last couple of years, they stand out for their unique taste in music, which can oscillate between Deep House vibes, Tech House grooves, Progressive melodies and retro colors; sometimes has been classified as “unclassifiable”, and some others simply as “Sub Chunk's Sound”. Since their beginnings they decided to undertake a challenge: to create scenarios where only the best electronic music is delivered in a unique and versatile way. That's why, the audience will definitely be part not only of a progression of tracks, but a story along their DJ set or hybrid show, show which they perform in different formats, sometimes using electric guitar, voices, synths or live percussion. Virtually every renowned club in Bogota has hosted Sub Chunk, as well as many other venues in different cities, including NYC, and several music festivals throughout Colombia, such as Storyland Festival 2018 & 2019, Heimat Festival 2019, Black Box Festival 2020 & 2022 and Haptic Festival 2022. ​​ This gave them the chance to be in the same lineup with important international artists such as Disclosure, Sasha, Maceo Plex, Enrico Sanguliano, Noir, Mind Against, Klangkarussell, Oliver Koletzki, Colyn, John Digweed, Pleasurekraft and Timo Maas. George's music is both introspective and expansive, tracing a path from his small-town roots in Xanthi to collaborations with the likes of Roy Rosenfeld and Behrouz. Subtle yet emotionally rich, his tracks have caught the ears of global tastemakers, earning support from John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Lee Burridge, and many more. On this Balance Selections mix, the Greek producer proves he's just as skilled behind the decks as he is in the studio. This episode, UVS hosts a very special guest, Eric Louis. Hailing from NJ, Eric Louis is a DJ and producer with eclectic taste and refined skills behind the decks and in the studio. A former intern at Deeper Rekords under NYC legend Jonathan Peters, Eric honed his early production chops creating edits played for thousands in Peters' iconic marathon sets. Active in the NYC scene with a 5-year residency and numerous gigs across the region, Eric broke out in 2015 by winning Victor Calderone's remix contest out of 300 entries. That release propelled him to international recognition with tracks on labels like Nervous (NY) and Berlin's Get Physical. Blending underground sensibilities with forward-thinking sounds, Eric launched his own imprint “Devilish Affair” in 2021. The label has earned major support—John Digweed championed “Waiting in the Rain” and Ryan Elliott charted “AM Dubs” in late 2022. In 2025, Eric continues expanding Devilish Affair and releasing on respected labels like Spclnch, OHM Series, MixCult, and Bondage. He's also joined forces with rising star Cristina Lazic and her La Zic Academy, mentoring the next generation of DJs and producers. UVS has been an early supporter of Eric's deep, dubby house and techno sound. I played for the 2nd time at Early Doors Club in Room 2 on 7th June. Danny and Richard asked me did I fancy it as they were starting a 2nd room for their 2nd Birthday party in April. The remit was pretty simple, play anything that's not in your face and played in the main room.
