Carina Lawrence is a Melbourne-born DJ and producer now based in London, where she has become a steady presence in the city's underground electronic scene. MATTHIAS MEYER (GERMANY) Long-time Watergate resident DJ and Producer Matthias Meyer is set for a stellar 2022, propelled by career defining moments, including a series of acclaimed releases and a worldwide tour. Her dynamic sets have earned her spots supporting international acts like Purple Disco Machine, Basement Jaxx, Mel C, John Digweed, Jamie Jones, and Fat Tony, as well as annual appearances at Ibiza's iconic Soul Heaven parties. Beyond the decks, Nikki is the owner of Sydney DJ School, where she has mentored over 400 aspiring DJs. She also hosts a weekly show on Mambo Radio, sharing her musical insights with a broader audience. In addition to released on UK label In It Together, in 2024 she launched her own label, Dare To Records, debuting with the single “Ain't Paradise” featuring remixes by Angelo Ferreri and Birdiee followed by "Life Is a Groove," featuring remixes by Angelo Ferreri and Mark Picchiotti.​ With a focus on creating 100% original vocal driven disco/house there is more to come in 2025. This episode, UVS hosts a very special guest, Eric Louis. Hailing from NJ, Eric Louis is a DJ and producer with eclectic taste and refined skills behind the decks and in the studio. A former intern at Deeper Rekords under NYC legend Jonathan Peters, Eric honed his early production chops creating edits played for thousands in Peters' iconic marathon sets. Active in the NYC scene with a 5-year residency and numerous gigs across the region, Eric broke out in 2015 by winning Victor Calderone's remix contest out of 300 entries. That release propelled him to international recognition with tracks on labels like Nervous (NY) and Berlin's Get Physical. Blending underground sensibilities with forward-thinking sounds, Eric launched his own imprint “Devilish Affair” in 2021. The label has earned major support—John Digweed championed “Waiting in the Rain” and Ryan Elliott charted “AM Dubs” in late 2022. In 2025, Eric continues expanding Devilish Affair and releasing on respected labels like Spclnch, OHM Series, MixCult, and Bondage. He's also joined forces with rising star Cristina Lazic and her La Zic Academy, mentoring the next generation of DJs and producers. UVS has been an early supporter of Eric's deep, dubby house and techno sound.
