"@Freeda-Sol doesn't just dwell in the funky realms, oftentimes she digs deeper into her murkier roots. In this episode, she takes listeners on a dramatic journey into the depths of a darker sound while maintaining a captivating melodic embrace. From the start, she dives straight into “The Devil's Water” — Rennie Foster's eerie track remixed by her biggest early influence, James Zabiela. Don't hold your breath, though, Freeda doesn't bring us up for air throughout this episode – even through to the last moments where she rekindles Nina Kravitz lovely banger “Fire,” edited by Solumn Eye. Considering his more than 30 years of experience in electronic music, it's safe to say that Pablo De Mattei AKA PAUL (AR), knows a thing or two about dance music. It's evident in his bookings: From Lollapalooza to Creamfields to Moonpark, there aren't many Argentinean music festivals that haven't featured Paul (AR) on their stages. He defines his style as a mixture of Progressive and Tech House, a style that has taken him across the globe from Spain to Peru. Labels from Sudbeat to Perfecto has featured his work, and he was most recently seen on Balance Music through his contribution to the 'Balance presents Dave Seaman and Quivver' compilation. Featuring a host of unofficial Paul (AR) remixes of acts like James Zabiela and Way Out West, alongside original tracks from Nicolas Rada, Dmitry Molosh, and more, the Argentinean delivers a delightful 90 minutes of progressive music suitable for any occasion. @pablo-de-mattei

And here they happened upon Floormagnet, a Stockholm-based collective, huddled round an imposing bank of synths, hammering out a tune so addictive that there was no other option than to sign it on the spot. But hark, what sensuous sorcery is this drifting into our ears from across the city? Why, ‘tis only our long-time friend Zoo Brazil, he of Seladorian classics ‘Thunderstorm' and ‘Across My Heart' fame. “Hey Zoo, what's this aural brew you cookin' up?” “ I'm just doing a lil' re-rub of ‘Laura', a most bodacious new tune from my Scandi pals Floormagnet.” “Wait.

Today we premiere a track from Dublin native Air Jackson, as the producer releases his third EP of the summer season, entitled 'XTC / Sunshine' on his label Ten One Records. As a DJ and producer, he knows how to traverse genres, finding exciting, unpredictable links as he goes, which this EP is an example of. From house, to techno to breakbeat into DnB, Air Jackson roams free, but often ties his selections together with an all-important melody. "I'm genre-fluid," he says, "if I like it I'll make it." The emotions Air Jackson's melodies bring, whether hopeful and optimistic or tense and dark, are very much what define his signature sound. After a strong summer of festival performances including Life Festival, Beyond The Pale and the upcoming Electric Picnic, he is set to finish off this sunny season with an inspired EP featuring two uplifting summer hits 'XTC' and 'Sunshine', both of which have been heard far and wide across European dance floors this summer. In a short space of time Air Jackson has achieved a lot. His first release 'Orion' was championed by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 Essential Selection in 2019, and he went on to tour extensively, along with launching his own Ten One Records, a label focused on music rich in melody. Last summer, Air Jackson served up 'Chemistry,' his debut album that showcased the breadth and depth of his sound which received multiple number 1s across many electronic charts. The creativity hasn't stopped as this summer we've seen him release three EPs, one entitled ‘Nebula / Dreams' and ‘Blow Ya Mind / Get Down' and now his latest ‘XTC / Sunshine' EP. These releases have received massive support from some of the biggest electronic artists around the globe including Maceo Plex, Luciano, Nicole Moudaber, John Digweed, Sasha, James Zabiela, Groove Armada, Marco Faraone, Darren Emerson and Glenn Morrison. The future's looking bright as Air Jackson solidifies himself as one of the most hard-working and exciting prospects coming out of Ireland right now. The Selador family goes pan-global once again, with our latest continent-spanning release being the result of a pandemic induced collaboration between Carlos Barbero (Panama) and Enes Çakir (Turkey), with Germany’s Jepe and Ede (Turkey, currently based in Germany) on remix duties. All are making their Selador debuts, and we couldn’t be happier. Of course, Messrs Seaman & Parry always have ears and eyes permanently open for forward thinking new music, be it on their DJ travels or during a pandemic – and this single is proof that we are a label that does listen to demos. Be it via email, Whats App or Messenger, the Selador is never closed. Carlos has been building himself quite a reputation in Central America, sharing club and festival stages with the likes of Re.You, Anja Schneider, Oliver Koletzki whilst Enes runs the Dawgs Musik company in Istanbul for events and podcasts, and has played alongside the likes of James Zabiela, Timo Maas – and Dave Seaman. It was a perfect case of isolation creation when the two hooked up during lockdown to make ‘Wake Up’, inviting Seher K to add the cherry on top . All three interpretations feature Seher’s breathy vocal, pleasingly acidic squelchiness, and just the right amount of electronic menace. Carlos and Enes’ Original mix has a metallic sheen, with competing hooks but everything in the right place as the sonic stars align . Jepe’s remix opens with the thud of a powerful kick drum and a psycho killer bassline, and takes us deeper, with the vocal more imposing in the mix . Ede’s mix, by contrast, is a funky breaks- driven acidic builder, an ethereal vibe set by the snatched vocal samples, a Mediterranean vibe . Team Selador: the Demo-lition Crew

Fatboy Slim - "Right Here, Right Now". Приятного прослушивания". ________________________________________________ - SC: https://soundcloud.com/samir-kuliev - FB: https://www.facebook.com/SamirKuliev/ - INST: https://www.instagram.com/samirkuliev.music/

Ever since Ep. 147 aired, we've been wanting to have the hella talented CHINT back on the podcast. Today, the wait ends! After dropping one of our most popular mixes to date, the man-with-the-plan has returned with more fire in this week's episode. This time he teamed up with Remmington - the owner and creator of Austin's famed Kingdom nightclub - to throw down a 99 minute mix that oozes late night vibes. It's got dark, melodic Techno, hypnotic Tech House and some downright nasty Warehouse tracks for your listening pleasure. And if that isn't enough for you, the duo performed this as an opening set for the infamous James Zabiela. Time for us to shut up and crank the music. Keep it loud!

Austin-based CHINT has opened for some of the biggest names in the electronic game (Mark Knight, Green Velvet, Josh Wink, MK...to name a few). He graciously shared his opening sets for Way Out West and James Zabiela on this podcast to huge support from our listeners. It's with great excitement that we bring him back in this week's episode -- this time sharing an exclusive mix he dropped to open for the legendary John Digweed! No surprise, it's dope. Featuring nearly 65 minutes of Techno, Minimal and Deep Tech House, there's no turning back in this one. Keep the music loud!

Simon Shackleton's Elite Force project began way back in 1996, debuting on his own newly founded Fused and Bruised label with a series of peerless 12s and remixes. After a successful five years, he put Fused and Bruised on the backburner to concentrate on production work, and following several years with Whole9Yards and Moonshine he became a mainstay recording artist for AdriftRecordings (formally known as Kingsize Records) before moving on to set up hisown hugely successful U&A imprint. Often credited for being a lynchpin in the developing the tech-funk genre (an amalgamation of breaks, house, techno and electro) he has released a series of highly successful singles in the past few years, finding broad support from DJs and musicians across the board, including the likes of James Zabiela, Sasha, Crystal Method, Laurent Garnier and Fatboy Slim to name but five. In 2008 released a semi-retrospective double album's worth of remixes and re-workings of a 12-year back catalogue, with over 25 mixes coming from such luminaries as Miles Dyson, Rogue Element, Deepgroove, Dylan Rhymes & Calvertron. In addition to these solo singles, Meat Katie has been a regular collaborator with Elite Force, a relationship that had begun in 2003 with the massive-selling 'Toba', and that will see their creative relationship come to fruition in 2009 with the launch of their new joint project under the name ‘Dustbowl', as well as a series of singles under the ‘Meat Katie & Elite Force' banner. As a remixer, Elite Force has always been in huge demand, with re-workings for the likes of Grandmaster Flash, Crystal Method, Jungle Brothers, Stereo MCs, UNKLE, Infusion, Rennie Pilgrem, Shiloh and Dylan Rhymes all contributing to his reputation as one of the most creative and effective remixers around. Elite Force's music has also been the soundtrack to many a movie, with a huge list of impressive A-list credits to his name, including the likes of the Matrix, Charlie's Angels, Arlington Road, Mortal Kombat, Crow, The Bone Collector, The Jackyll, Spiderman 2 and his music has appeared on a wide array of TV shows, from CSI to Top Gear, from Football Focus to LA Doctors. He's also soundtracked a number of computer games, including no fewer than 5 FIFA games, several of the Wipeout series, The Matrix and Motorstorm 1, and he is currently writing some bespoke music for forthcoming games for Ferrari and Motorstorm2. On the decks, Elite Force has been a prime mover since 1990 when he cut his teeth playing huge student nights and self-promoted acid house nights in the South West of England, before moving up to ....London.... and ultimately gravitating towards his tech-funk style, with which he now has a full diary of global bookings. He has become known as one of the top technicians on a circuit that has included massive shows in Belarus, Hungary, Australia, Italy, USA, Czech Republic, India, Turkey, Spain, Japan, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and China, amongst others, as well as numerous festival slots including Glastonbury, Coachella, Bloom, Wickerman, the Glade and more recently Burning Man. He was also responsible for the hugely influential Strongarm Sessions webcasts which became something of an institution since their inception back in 2001, receiving as they did around 20,000 downloads per show, but now put on the backburner to concentrate on other projects, such as his own blog (Techfunkmanifesto) and his other musical projects, such as Dustbowl (with Meat Katie).
