Jesus said one of the signs of the end times is the love of many growing cold. We are rapidly approaching a time when brothers and sisters in the Lord will offend, betray, and hate one another. For partnership, contact us: jaef.foundation@gmail.com Episode 7 of the 2024 Kick-Off series. In this episode: Let there be Light (In Him was life; and the life was the light of men). In this series: First, Happy New Year, but I prefer Blessed New Year because if 2024 is filled with God's Blessings, there will be much to be “happy” about. The change of the calendar into a new year doesn't automatically new us, some of us brought in baggage from last year (2023) and are hoping that things will magically pick up the new aura. Once the New Year newness starts to fade, reality sets in of some of the things we set on the shelf to celebrate the holidays! So how do we deal with the new year expectations and unknowns coupled with some of the previous year's baggage? Hmmm…It's a fair question to ask… I was asking myself and decided, how about we draw some inspiration from some of the “beginnings” we see in scripture, How did God deal with them? The first one is from Gen 1:1-4 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. The second one is from John 1:1-9 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. 6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. 8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. 9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. Summary of these two beginnings: Light and Life!!! I believe this is what we all need as we sojourn through the unknown and unfamiliar of 2024 with some baggage on our backs. And who better to Light up and Life-us than our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ?! Prov 13:12 says; Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life. We need a full tank of Hope. Before we take off into 2024, let's spend some time on the runway refuelling with the words Jesus first spoke at the beginning of His earthly ministry. Principles for a Blessed New Year - Part 2
Whassup good people Happy new Year!! We're back like we never left! Hopefully y'all remember a few episodes back the we had on Jeremiah Dirt and Illustrate, well you can consider this part 2 where we chop it up with Illustrate solo and get to hear more of his story and why he does what he does. We have the convo about being a rapper who's a christian vs. a Christian rapper and if there is a difference. he shares with us insights into the Colorado hip hop scene as well as what it was like linking up with Fros'T and Ahmad of 4th Ave Jones. As many of you may (or may not) know Illustrate is a member of the hip-hop collective Shadow Of The Locust (see September 2023 episode for that convo), he shares with us how he met Jeremiah Dirt and Calmplex of SOTL. This spurs Illustrate and Jamey to both share some Jeremiah Dirt stories which are worth the listen alone! Wrapping it up Illustrate lets us know what he's up to know as far as crew and solo projects. We hope you enjoyed listening to this episode as much as we enjoyed making it! Wanna hit us up? Peep us on Instagram: @brewsbeards @royalruckusofficial @nomadikvagabond @justjamey and you can get at Illustrate on Instagram: @illustrate1 and be sure to peep the @shadowofthelocust IG page as well Wanna hear or purchase Illustrates music? In the midst of chaos and confusion, we can still find something to be grateful to God for and Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on those things and it is the perfect time to be reminded of how thankful we really should be for absolutely every blessing God has given us. Please tune in to the last Episode of Season Five as I reflect on giving thanks and having an "Attitude of Gratitude," not just during the holiday season, but all season long throughout the year. I pray that you will be Blessed as you listen to today's show. Have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving, A Merry Christmas and a Happy and Blessed New Year!!!! ~Dr. Lynn --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/drlynn-goebel/support

Wow what an amazing series. We hope that this has really been an encouraging series for all our listeners and you all have walked away with a better understanding of who God is and how amazing and "mind blowing" He really is! We are taking a brief break to pause and reflect on the greatest gift this season. Our Savior Jesus Christ. Be sure to check out the podcast in February for a brand new series! Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. Our final guest is the one and only Beth Kauffmann who is here to discuss how God is self existent. How he created us to be creative and how we should use our gifts and talents to further His kingdom! As Beth mentions if you are ready to commit your life to Jesus and are local be sure to get connect at Mission Bible church. Our staff would love to talk to you! If you are not local we encourage you to find a local church and get connected! https://www.missionbible.church/

If you are still gift shopping for a horse lover, we'd like to recommend our video on bits and bitting, "More Than a Bit... o' Information." I truly believe that it's the very best source of information on bits and how they are best used available today.
