In this week's episode, I am joined by the electrifying Sarah Natochenny. She was only 19 years old when she replaced Veronica Taylor as the voice of Ash Ketchum in the English dub of Pokémon, starting at its ninth season. Since then, Sarah has gone on to play a slew of other fantastic characters, including Alicia in the 2006 video game Bullet Witch, Aura Sentia in Yu-Gi-Oh!, as well as Marian on Robin Hood. Apart from being a voice actress, Sarah is also a film editor, having worked as the primary editor for networks such as MSNBC and an assistant editor on the films Life of Crime, Cold Comes the Night, Worst Friends, and Cruise. Sarah's journey has had many twists and turns, all of which have led to fantastic and meaningful places. Join us as we talk about her journey into becoming a bronze-medal rhythmic gymnast and how she relates her experience in conquering the challenges of rhythmic gymnastics with her voice acting career. She also talks about how she booked Ash Ketchum at just 19 years old as well as her experience of getting terrifying threats and eventually conquering the fear it instilled in her. We also touch upon her love for film as well as her work as a film editor. This week Dr. Syintist, Chump Slap, and Poppascotch chat it up about a game that none of us knew existed until Chump Slap unearthed it from the depths of an @iampanax playlist with the massive gun shooting apocalypse with demon slaying mess of a game that is Bullet Witch!

Today it's Paul, Arnaldo, and Geoff on deck with another choice selection of the best/worst video games ever offered! After some catching up with dogs and horrible house odors, Geoff starts us off with the classic Die Hard Trilogy for the PS1 and Saturn (13:00). Paul is up next with Die Hard Trilogy's video game spirit animal, Technocop on the Genesis (28:15) followed by Arnie with a mouthful of Kotodama: The 7 Mysteries Of Fujisawa (45:45). The parade of delightful mediocrity continues with Jurassic Park on the Sega Master System (58:30), Double Dungeons for the Turbografx-16 (1:12:15) and finally, last but not least, Xbox 360 masterpiece, Bullet Witch (1:22:35). My guest today is Brandon Sheffield, founder of Nercrosoft games, former editor of Game Developer Magazine & Gamasutra, ad creator of Insertcredit.com and No Girlfriend Comics. We talk about why all of Brandon's early videogame memories are blurry or in the third person, his deep level of discovery and delving into the forgotten history of games, university rivalries with the Maryland Puyo Puyo champion, his incredibly esoteric CV, and how the discovery of a video game in a store in Torrance, California changed his life. "Sorta, yeah. But no idealized shit. No phony bullshit. The real thing, y'know? Ordinary life is pretty complex stuff. We're aware of the coincidence that an episode about witches is numbered 3:33. It wasn't intentional, and that makes it spooky.
This week we're looking at Bullet Witch, an Xbox 360 game from 2007. Remember you can write in with content you'd like to see reviewed, to witchfixpodcast@gmail.com and on twitter @witchfix Photo by Michael Penny Music by Jahzzar - The Last Ones

It was April First in our heads at CC Gaming in Kennesaw, GA, so it was time to break out some special games. Superman 64 and ET 2600 started off the night, until Derrick Hopkins of Dead Pixel Live started chastising us for daring to call any game crap, as some of our live audience started pulling out GOOD 2600 games and calling them crap. Then we pull out some stinkers from the Xbox 360 - Bullet Witch and Eat Lead. This is a partial recording as the processor was still overheating at the time.
