Diesmal inklusive GEWINNSPIEL! Red.). LINKS: https://linktr.ee/modchip

We had the opportunity to sit down with the developers of the 1990's based video game Horace. Created by Paul Helman and coded by Sean Scaplehorn, we find out about their history in video games, learning about Paul's time working on Die Hard Trilogy and Sean's work on a port of Metal Gear Solid before we headed into the main topic of Horace! We also found out about their favourite 90's movies and tv shows. Spill vi snakker om i episode 76: Golden Sun, Shining Soul, Backpacker 2, Flåklypa Grand Prix, Age of Empires 4, Football Manager 2022, NHL 21, Advance Wars, Duck Hunt, Metroid Dread/Zero Mission, The Messenger, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Ocarina of Time/Twilight Princess, Wave Race 64, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Earthbound, Halo Infinite, Super Smash Bros. Melee, GTA The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, Pentiment, Die Hard Trilogy, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle-earth, Alpha Protocol, Tecmo Cup.
This week, the ULTIMATE head-to-head...PS5 vs. Xbox Series X!!! Which one actually IS better? We share our first hand experiences - we also go deep into movie X game adaptations which are mostly horrendous. Except the Die Hard Trilogy. And, the Alien Trilogy. Apparently there was a Men in Black game on the SNES. Yep, that one WAS as horrible as it sounds. We also discuss whether pineapple belongs on pizza. Prepare to be triggered... **HUGE apologies for Iain's mic issues in the 2nd half of the show and just to confirm, he was NOT recording underwater inside a space ship (...as far as we know
Die Hard Trilogy is a video game based on the first three installments of the Die Hard series of action movies. Die Hard Trilogy features three games in one, each based on a movie installment and featuring a different genre and gameplay style. The game was well received and would eventually become a PlayStation Greatest Hits and PlayStation Platinum game. Die Hard Trilogy also inspired a sequel entitled Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas. The sequel retained the three different playing styles, but featured a spin-off storyline that was not connected to the movie series. We play the greatest games from yesterday while discussing today's gaming news and reminisce on the past. A no topic, no fuks given eccentric cast. UPDATE: Added our voices back in. Hooray? Ho, ho, ho! It's Christmastime at the Retrovania dot net HQ, and so we've pulled out a holiday classic - Die Hard Trilogy! Ok, so there is nothing in this game that even remotely mentions Christmas, but this is a game that contains 3 completely separate games based on the first 3 Die Hard movies. Is this a rare case where you get a lot for your money, or are all three of these games worth throwing off the top of the Nakatomi building? Also discussed, our favorite current games that came out in 2018, our biggest disappointments of the year, and our personal favorite game we covered this year on Retrovaniacs! It's the Christmas episode that nobody asked for! __________________________ If you enjoy this podcast, why not write a review wherever you download it from? In this month's episode, Charlie and George head to Nakatomi Plaza to discuss controversial Christmas film and all around action classic Die Hard. The boys discuss the film's literary roots, the key contributions from Predator (insert link) maestro John McTiernan, the genius of Alan Rickman, classic 1980's douchebags and fond memories of the PS1 game "Die Hard Trilogy". Regular podcast features such as bad impressions ("Put the gun away, this is radio, not television"), alternative casting choices in Coulda Woulda Shoulda and new staple - Suspicious Stuntmen, all make an appearance. Is Die Hard a Christmas film? Does it actually matter? Listen to find out!
A jam-packed three-pack of crap.

Our Christmas episode is here, and before New Year's Eve! It's a post-Christmas miracle! Luke is joined by an uncomfortably packed panel of judges this week, starting off with returning guests Dina, Sam, Molly, Will, and Jason, while also picking up Dustin and Alex along the way. For the holidays, they discuss five Christmas games... well, okay, three Christmas games and two games vaguely related to Christmas. Jason is literally overcome by the holiday spirit, Sam drives us all insane by becoming the Anton Chigurh of podcasts, Alex makes a bad joke about menstruation, we talk for a while about the hit anime Everyday Life With Monster Girls, and the Joker got away, hey! Basically it's exactly what you'd expect from a Christmas episode of a trashpile of a podcast like this one. YOUR GAMES THIS WEEK ARE: Elf Bowling, for PC and Nintendo DS; Santa's Xmas Caper, for PC; Die Hard Trilogy, for Playstation; Batman: Arkham Origins, for PC, Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360; and Christmas NiGHTS, for Sega Saturn. You can find the up-to-date list of ranked games at bit.ly/letsplace
On this episode the crew talks about the Die Hard Trilogy video game. The ups. The downs. The yippee ki yays. We may also spend a few moments on Super Mario World.

The better title for this episode was probably "Because 90's", but either way Fred and Jam tackle six massive movies made into two interesting games by one single studio. Both released in 1996, Probe Software's Alien Trilogy was a re-writing of three movies in one single genre (Doom clone) whereas Die Hard Trilogy was a compilation of three different genres (3rd person shooter, light gun shooter, and driving game) based on each game. The results are interesting and stems some interesting conversation on these powerhouse trilogies.
Indiana Jones is everybody's favourite trilogy second to the Star Wars Trilogy, the Alien Trilogy, The Die Hard Trilogy, and every other trilogy that definately doesn't have a 4th, 5th, or 6th movie sequel. In fact, I would safely say that the rule of three is the most important thing you can do in film. To move beyond the trilogy means that you are open to making a lemon. You are at risk of making the worst film sequel ever in the history of any franchise. If you decide to go ahead and make a 4th film in what had already been a successful trilogy, you might as well declare war on film and burn every masterpiece made by every popular film studio that made Hollywood what it is today. Or even worse than that you could go ahead and make Indiana Jones and the Crystal Face.
It has been a while since we got caught up on the games we have actually been playing. Justin, Cole, Ethan, and Justin relive their recent experiences with Red Dead Redemption, Assassin’s Creeds, Dead Space 2, War/Mine Crafting, plus a few others. Send in your questions to simon@horriblenight.com or @TheHorribleShow After a few months of news, editorializing, and previewing/reviewing the year, it is about time that we just kicked back and talk about the games we are playing. You know, since it is pretty much why we gathered on this site to begin with. The Threesomes kick off this week with Cole waking up to Weird things in Indiana. GiffTor asks the On the Spot question and wants to know if any movies out there deserve a good game so Ethan schools us the incredible American Ninja. Taking a look at our games of the month, and you can’t describe many of them as small games. We’ve talked through some of these games before, but it’s nice to see the rest of the crew wrap up great titles like Red Dead Redemption and Mass Effect 2, while Justin finally spills his guts on Dead Space 2. Be on the look out for news about our upcoming online gaming nights – Horrible All Nighters – coming to a multiplayer game around you soon. Rev up those chainsaws because we are coming for ya.
