Il viaggio che porta l'autore di questo libro sulle sue tracce (e alla sua scoperta) diventa al tempo stesso l'occasione per un bilancio personale: quello delle proprie debolezze, delle occasioni mancate, ma anche dei rari, preziosi momenti di riscossa, umana e letteraria, che condiscono e abbelliscono la nostra vita.Raoul Precht (Roma, 1960) è poeta, narratore, traduttore e saggista. Immer wieder stoßen wir bei unseren Recherchen für Auf den Tag genau auf Theaterautoren und -stücke, die heutzutage eher nur noch dem Namen als ihren Inhalten nach bekannt sind. Auch die satirischen Dramen von Carl Sternheim zählen zu dieser Rubrik. Alle Jubeljahre wagt ein Theater mal wieder eine Wiederausgrabung. Wirklich ins Repertoire zurückgekehrt sind sie nach ihrer Verfemung durch die Nazis jedoch nicht. Für die letzte Berliner Inszenierung von Sternheims Nebbich muss man bis in die frühen 1990er Jahre zurückreisen, als man sich an einer Neubelebung in den Kammerspielen des Deutschen Theaters versuchte. Eben genau dorthin, aber natürlich noch ein paar Jahrzehnte weiter, nämlich gleich bis zur Uraufführung im Jahr 1924 nimmt uns Frank Riede mit, der der B.Z. am Mittag vom 2. Februar entnimmt, was dem Regisseur Sternheim damals zum Autor Sternheim eingefallen ist.

Weil Gattin Luise während einer königlichen Parade auf offener Straße die Hose verliert, sieht Kleinbürger Theobald Maske seine gesamte Existenz gefährdet. Zwei Herren wurden von Luises öffentlicher Entblößung allerdings derart berauscht, dass sie sich bei den Maskes als Untermieter einschleichen. Ein Dichter erregt Luises Gefühle mit süßen Worten. Ein schwächlicher Friseurgehilfe dagegen ist ihr zuwider. Scott's experience includes years spent with Vello Virkhaus of V Squared Labs assisting with visuals at Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Coachella. He has worked in Post-Production for numerous television shows in Los Angeles including Mad Men, Idiotsitter, Zoo, and @midnight. He is a graduate of the American Film Institute. Scott is currently in Pre-Production on two additional FilmEDM Experiences, Drastic Love and The Dream Catcher. Matt Ciociolo has been involved in acting since he was a young kid. After performing in plays and musicals throughout elementary and high school he began performing at the Boston Actors Theatre while attending Business School at Northeastern University. He was able to play Giles, the lead in Agatha Christys "The Mousetrap" as well as a very funny lead role as Theo in Steve Martins adaptation of "The Underpants" by Carl Sternheim. Once moving out to Los Angeles Matt has been involved in films throughout the past 10 years since moving out here. He has also appeared in national commercials such as Samsung and Mariott as just a few of his many acting projects he has been involved in. He looks to bring something new to every role and be as unpredictable as possible (especially to himself).
