Every day, we hear countless voices telling us what to believe, what to fear, where to find our worth, and how to live. In 1 Samuel 3, Israel finds itself in a season of spiritual darkness, yet God speaks to a young Samuel and calls him to listen. Samuel's response, “Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening,” shows us what it looks like to approach God with humility, readiness, and obedience. As Samuel learns to recognize and faithfully proclaim God's voice, God uses him to bring His Word and hope back to His people. This passage challenges us to ask: Which voice are we trusting, and is God's Word truly shaping the way we live?

While Samuel stands as a faithful contrast, the sermon reminds us that even he is only a sign pointing to someone greater. Our true hope is found in Jesus Christ—the perfect and eternal High Priest who doesn't take from His people but gives Himself for them, offering forgiveness, and the power to live faithfully for God.

Hannah's prayer in 1 Samuel 2 reminds us that true worship is rooted not in our circumstances, but in the unchanging character of God. Whether we are waiting for answered prayers or surrendering the blessings God has given us, our greatest need is not changed circumstances but a clearer vision of who He is. This message explores three truths from Hannah's song: there is no one like our God, no one who acts like our God, and no one more worthy of our trust. Ultimately, Hannah's prayer points beyond her own story to Jesus Christ, the greatest reversal in history, through whom sinners are made saints and the dead are made alive. No matter what season you're in, you can rejoice because there is no one like our God.

As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said, “As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.” “Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?” He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them. When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”Luke 21: 1-9 God is watching how you give-what you are trusting in- rather than what you give. . When we give in full view of others, we receive our reward - the admiration of others. But while human eyes and human ears would overlook this widow's gift, God sees, and declares that the small coins the widow offers are a much greater sacrifice than the giving of others around her. Like the widow, we should trust God to take what we give and make much of it. When we give with the proper spirit, God can and does do this even out of scarcity. The temple being admired in this text was sturdy and full of splendor, but as he did with the widow's sacrifice, Jesus sees the temple's true substance. The white marble stones of the temple couldn’t hide the predatory nature of those within it. And Jesus saw to the heart of the matter when he told the crowds that not one stone of the temple would be left standing on another. The people here saw the temple's incredible appearance, but Christ could see its coming destruction due to the wickedness within it. The temple was destroyed, but now the temple is being built with living stone--those whom God saves--as a holy nation of people for God’s possession and a kingdom of priests. The crowds ask Jesus when the foretold destruction will happen and he reveals that it won't happen all at once, but it will happen slowly, after rumors and wars and tumults. He reminds his people they are not alone and calls them to faithfulness.

In Galatians 6:11-18, Paul closes his letter to the Galatians in his own handwriting, driving home a warning against those pushing circumcision just to avoid persecution and to boast in outward religious performance. He contrasts that hollow boasting with his own only boast: the cross of Christ. This message explores the main message of the book of Galatians. The Gospel has freed us, therefore our only boast is in the cross of Christ. Because of Jesus, we are saved and set free to live a transformed life.

In Galatians 6:1–10, Paul teaches that every believer is sowing something—either to the flesh or to the Spirit. This message explores what it means to bear one another's burdens, restore those who have fallen with gentleness, and faithfully continue doing good even when it feels exhausting. Most importantly, we see that Jesus first carried our greatest burden on the cross, empowering us to live lives that reflect His love.
