A spark of madness is often the first step toward creation. On today's episode, we welcome Bojan Dulabic, a passionate Vancouver-based filmmaker who pulled off a small miracle—he made a full-length zombie movie for just $5,000. But this isn't just a story of budgeting brilliance; it's a tale of relentless passion, artistic vision, and the kind of self-taught wisdom you can't get in film school.Born in Bosnia, raised in Germany and Croatia, and finally settled in Canada, Bojan Dulabic's journey into filmmaking is stitched together by war, displacement, and a child's fascination with VHS tapes in his mother's shop. His early life sounds like something out of a global coming-of-age novel. And perhaps that nomadic upbringing seeded in him a gift for observation—a key trait in any great storyteller. When he finally turned his teenage creativity into a film project in high school, something clicked. Not just the shutter on a camera, but the internal compass of a man who knew he had to follow the path of cinema, even if it meant doing it on his own terms. This wasn't a journey paved in gold. His first feature, shot for $4,000, was a comedy that taught him the ropes. His follow-up? A feature-length zombie film titled Project Eugenics. What could have been a cliché genre dive instead becomes a thoughtful narrative on misinformation, the chaos of modern life, and yes—zombies as metaphors. “To me, a zombie flick... it's not about the zombies. It's always about something else,” Bojan reflects. In his hands, the walking dead become symbols of mass confusion, manipulation, and the blurred lines of truth in our hyper-connected world. There is a playful seriousness to Bojan's philosophy. He reveres Romero and admires Rodriguez, but he walks his own road. Like Alan Watts would muse about the dancer and the dance, Bojan seems less concerned with final outcomes and more with being in the creative flow—tripping over obstacles and finding meaning in the madness. He shares stories of juggling a wedding, a tight shooting schedule, and DIY visual effects like a magician with duct tape. His secret? A mindset that embraces “safe confusion”—a term borrowed from Tarantino—that invites the audience into mystery without losing them. What's more, Bojan brings a rare humility to the table. He speaks about his cast and crew with deep respect, understanding that low-budget filmmaking doesn't give you the license to burn out others for your dream. His actors often worked just a few days, each scene scheduled with precision. His respect for time, energy, and goodwill may be the real reason his film came together. For him, filmmaking is not just a creative act but a spiritual contract—with himself, with his collaborators, and with the audience. This podcast isn't just a technical breakdown of low-budget indie cinema. It's a spiritual blueprint for artists who feel the fire but lack the funds. Bojan's approach is radical because it's so simple: take stock of what you have, and build from there. Whether it's stock footage, free VFX plugins, or your friend's living room—use it. More importantly, finish it. Don't wait for permission. Make your movie now.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/bulletproof-screenwriting-podcast--2881148/support.

Visit hypr.com/idac to learn more.In this episode from Authenticate 2025, Jim McDonald and Jeff Steadman are joined by Bojan Simic, Co-Founder and CEO of HYPR, for a sponsored discussion on the evolving landscape of identity and security.Bojan shares his journey from software engineer to cybersecurity leader and dives into the core mission of HYPR: providing fast, consistent, and secure identity controls that complement existing investments. The conversation explores the major themes from the conference, including the push for passkey adoption at scale and the challenge of securely authenticating AI agents.A key focus of the discussion is the concept of "Know Your Employee" (KYE) in a continuous manner, a critical strategy for today's remote and hybrid workforces. Bojan explains how the old paradigm of one-time verification is failing, especially in the face of sophisticated, AI-powered social engineering attacks like those used by Scattered Spider. They discuss the issue of "identity sprawl" across multiple IDPs and why consolidation isn't always the answer. Instead, Bojan advocates for a flexible, best-of-breed approach that provides a consistent authentication experience and leverages existing security tools.Connect with Bojan: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bojansimic/Learn more about HYPR: https://www.hypr.com/idacConnect with us on LinkedIn:Jim McDonald: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jimmcdonaldpmp/Jeff Steadman: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jeffsteadman/Visit the show on the web at idacpodcast.comChapter Timestamps:00:00 - Introduction at Authenticate 202500:23 - Sponsored Episode Welcome: Bojan Simic, CEO of HYPR01:11 - How Bojan Simic Got into Identity and Cybersecurity02:10 - The Elevator Pitch for HYPR04:03 - The Buzz at Authenticate 2025: Passkeys and Securing AI Agents05:29 - The Trend of Continuous "Know Your Employee" (KYE)07:33 - Is Your MFA Program Enough Anymore?09:44 - Hackers Don't Break In, They Log In: The Scattered Spider Threat11:19 - How AI is Scaling Social Engineering Attacks Globally13:08 - When a Breach Happens, Who's on the Hook? What does the rise of generative AI mean for how we educate, train, and prepare for the future of work? And despite AI's growing capabilities, why have institutions been so slow to respond to these changes and what will help them catch up with the growth of AI in new industries and educational forums? On this episode of Explain to Shane, Shane Tews and AEI Senior Fellow Brent Orrell interview Bojan Tunguz, founder and CEO of TabulAI. They discuss why AI should be central to modern education and workforce development—and what needs to change to make that vision a reality.
Gost sredinega svetovalnega servisa bo neodvisni energetski svetovalec Bojan Žnidaršič. Make your movie now.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/indie-film-hustle-a-filmmaking-podcast--2664729/support.

RJJ Software's Software Development Service This episode of The Modern .NET Show is supported, in part, by RJJ Software's Podcasting Services, whether your company is looking to elevate its UK operations or reshape its US strategy, we can provide tailored solutions that exceed expectations. Show Notes "I always believe, and this is taking my kind of Microsoft hat off, and I'm sharing my personal view here. I definitely believe regardless of the public cloud provider in question, they're all part of a bigger ecosystem. And I emphasize the word ecosystem. I believe security as, you know, a problem statement of our time, it's just so complex that it really can't be solved by a single company or by a single organization or a single individual. You really need to see like collaboration and cooperation taking place across different sectors, across different public cloud providers."— Bojan Magušić Welcome friends to The Modern .NET Show; the premier .NET podcast, focusing entirely on the knowledge, tools, and frameworks that all .NET developers should have in their toolbox. We are the go-to podcast for .NET developers worldwide, and I am your host: Jamie "GaProgMan" Taylor. In this episode, Bojan Magušić joined us to talk about both his new book "Azure Security" but also his work as part of the security team at Azure and his top tips for protecting your digital landscape (aka your apps and services) on the public cloud. Not only did Bojan and I talk about the security aspects of protecting your public cloud digital landscape, but we also talked about how all the public cloud providers actually work together to ensure that everyone is protected from CVEs and exploits when they are discovered. An application of the Infinite Game, if you will—if you're not sure what that is, we cover that in the episode, too. "So instead of at times you know thinking of it as a zero-sum game, I definitely believe there is opportunity to kind of expand the ecosystem and partner in meaningful ways where we can share information and share insights and guidance and even skill sets that are going to make us all as an industry and, you know, as clients more secure."— Bojan Magušić Anyway, without further ado, let's sit back, open up a terminal, type in `dotnet new podcast` and we'll dive into the core of Modern .NET. Alex Golden and Facci closeout the MAILBAG podcast answering the following questions: 1). Erik Nikol If you guys are doing the consolidation trade in the offseason, which players are you keeping vs trading? 2). Mann Marsden Real take on the play of Tyrese and is he a superstar or franchise player ? Or jus mid like Evan Turner warned us about 3). Nicholas Thornburg If Myles Turner does not re-sign with the Pacers this offseason, what route do you think the Pacers would go for at the center position? Do you think a priority would need to be to go after a stretch big given the ability of Haliburton to dish well to centers for 3 pointers? 4). Adam aka REDS FAN RIP 19 What do you guys think has been the biggest reason for the turnaround and better play? 5). Sam Tompkins Do you think the starters would have more success with Nesmith in the line up? Would this free Mathurin up for more offensive production with TJ/Obi/etc by coming off the bench? 6). Josh Lovell The Pacers lack shooting, aside from Tyrese. Instead of Alex Len for the 15th spot, would they be better off with a real shooter, like Bojan? 7). Christopher Lloyd AKA The Film Critic With big contracts going to their stars, it's clear the Pacers can't play and pay all of their young talent: Nembhard, Mathurin, Walker, Nesmith, Sheppard, Furphy. How many do you think they keep long-term, and which ones? Thank you all for sending in your questions and for making Setting The Pace a part of your daily listen. Cheers!
