Everything that begins to exist has a cause 2. The universe began to exist 3. Therefore, the universe has a cause “Nothing times nobody can't equal everything” (EC) “It is said that an argument is what convinces reasonable men and a proof is what it takes to convince even an unreasonable man. With the proof now in place, cosmologists can no longer hide behind the possibility of a past-eternal universe. There is no escape they have to face the problem of a cosmic beginning.” -Alexander Vilenkin: Many Worlds in One “It is not that this is the best answer to existence; it is the only answer. That is why we may hold our Christianity with intellectual integrity. The only answer for what exists is that God the infinite personal God really is there.” (HITAHINS) Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God made the heavens and the earth Teleological: The evidence of design “When you look from the perspective of a scientist at the universe it looks as if it knew we were coming. There are 15 constants the gravitational constant, various constants about the strong and weak nuclear force, etc that have precise values. If any one of those constants was off by even one part in a million or in some cases by one part in a million million the universe could not have actually come to the point where we see it. Matter would not have been able to coalesce there would have been no galaxy stars planets or people.” -Francis Collins: Language of God Irreducible complexity: A system that requires all its components simultaneously to function, meaning it cannot be created by minor sequential additions. Moral: The evidence of objective moral values 1. If God does not exist, objective moral values and duties do not exist 2. Objective moral values and duties do exist 3. Therefore, God exists Romans 2:14-15 “Without the God of the Bible, our ideas of human equality and justice have no foundation...the very idea of human rights is, as Harari argues a Christian invention. So we need Christianity to be right for human rights abuses to be wrong.” (SC) “The universe we observe has … no design, no purpose, no evil and no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference. … DNA neither knows nor cares. DNA just is. And we dance to its music” -River out of Eden, Dawkins Existential: The evidence of desire for meaning in life “Creatures are not born with desires unless satisfaction for those desires exists. A baby feels hunger: well, there is such a thing as food. A duckling wants to swim: well, there is such a thing as water. Men feel sexual desire: well, there is such a thing as sex. If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.” -Mere Christianity Eccl 3:11 Beauty: The evidence of admiration & creative expression “Atheism has no answer whatsoever to the question of how this animated sack of accidental chemicals you and me could be capable of love or heroism or poetry” (A.N. Wilson quoted in Essential Christianity) 1. If Christianity is true then certain features should characterize human beings 2. Those features characterize human beings 3. Thus, these features provide a degree of confirmation for Christianity. These features characterize God & moreover come from Him. He made us to have them Jesus: The evidence of the historical reality: Life death and resurrection of Jesus Christ Hebrews 1:1-3

Join us this week as Pastor Nate takes us through Matthew 28. Helping us understand the debt paid on Easter Morning. Matthew 28:1-10 Romans 6:23 - for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Sin leads to death but Jesus leads to life Sin leads to death Matthew 6:12 - forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. Jesus leads to life The free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Colossians 2:13-14 - 13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.

Full Assurance | Good Friday 2026 | Hebrews 10:19-23 by CityLight Church

Today is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week as we prepare to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. Join us Friday for good Friday services, Saturday for easter egg hunt, and Sunday for Easter Services. Palm Sunday is the day Jesus entered into Jerusalem and people laid down palm branches and praised Him. But only a few days later, he is crucified and then risen from the dead. In this account, as Jesus reflects on the people's response to him, he says something interesting about peace and why they didn't have it. From his words we learn there are “things that make for peace” and things that do not make for peace. You need the right ingredients. Do you have peace? Do you have the right ingredients? Let's see

Follow Through | Burdens to Breakthroughs | Nehemiah 10-13 Burden → Intercession → Vision → Mission → Opposition → Determination → Provision → Reformation → Transformation → Continuation Nehemiah 10:28-29 Commitment The commitment is genuine, specific, and united Plans We need plans that protect our priorities They planned to take care of the house of God Nehemiah 10:35-37 Do you have a plan to put God first with the details of your life? How can you put God first with your time? How can you put God first with your talent? How can you put God first with your treasure? They planned leadership delegation and community organization Nehemiah 12:46-47 Nehemiah 12:24 They planned to celebrate the Lord Nehemiah 12:27 12:31 Then I brought the leaders of Judah up onto the wall and appointed two great choirs that gave thanks. 12:40 So both choirs of those who gave thanks stood in the house of God, and I and half of the officials with me; 12:43 And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and children also rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard far away. Accountability Culture is not just what you teach but what you tolerate. He confronts when they neglect the house of God 13:15-18 He confronts their sexual immorality and willingness to invite ungodliness into their lives 13:23-31 28 And one of the sons of Jehoiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was the son-in-law of Sanballat the Horonite. Therefore I chased him from me. 29 Remember them, O my God, because they have desecrated the priesthood and the covenant of the priesthood and the Levites. 30 Thus I cleansed them from everything foreign, and I established the duties of the priests and Levites, each in his work; 31 and I provided for the wood offering at appointed times, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good. We need accountability, but we thank God for grace!

Transformation by Adoration| Burdens to Breakthroughs | Nehemiah 9:1-5 by CityLight Church

Join us this week as Pastor John takes us through Nehemiah chapter 8. __ "Breakthroughs" Nehemiah 8:1-12 A picture of a breakthrough can empower us to pursue a burden. 1. Breakthroughs have no limits. - Breakthroughs aren't limited to certain people, past, or place. - “The remnant there in the province who had survived the exile is in great trouble and shame….” (Neh. 1:3). - precincts of the temple, so that none might be barred from attending…” They made space for a breakthrough to take place. 2. Breakthroughs happen through a hunger for God's Word. Jer. 15:16, Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts. Ezekiel 3:2-3 2 So I opened my mouth, and he gave me this scroll to eat. 3 And he said to me, “Son of man, feed your belly with this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it.” Then I ate it, and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey. when he ate the Word and it became sweet as honey. 3. Breakthroughs heighten by the joy of the Lord - 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Heb. 12:2)

A Movement, Not A Moment | What's Going on Here? | Romans 15:14-21 by CityLight Church

Romans 15:1-13 1 We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves. 2 Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. 3 For Christ did not please himself, but as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproached you fell on me.” 4 For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and through the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, 6 that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. 8 For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, 9 and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name.” 10 And again it says, “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.” 11 And again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples extol him.” 12 And again Isaiah says, “The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.” 13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Welcome the weak Welcome the outsider Welcome the Savior

Join us today as pastor John walks us through the first half of Romans Chapter 12

Romans 13:8-14 8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. 9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. 11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. 12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Wake Up 11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. 12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. Get dressed So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. Ephesians 5:15-18 - 15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit Our problem often is we are trying to put on the robe of Christ without taking off the rags of sin or trying to take off the rags of sin without putting on the robe of Christ Ephesians 4:22-24 - 22 to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. Go to work 8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Our problem is often we try to keep the law without love or try to love without keeping the law

Luke 19:28-40 Meditation turns familiar texts into fresh truths. 1. Jesus is the humble King. • (Zechariah 9:9) - Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. • “He does not arrive as his royal highness but his royal lowliness." • v.41) “And when He drew near and saw the city, he wept over it.” 2. Jesus is the peaceful King. • “He shall speak peace to the nations.” (Zech. 9:10) • Our peaceful King didn't come to punish but to plead for our peace with God. 3. Jesus is the King of Kings • Revelations 19:11-16 • Nothing can silence the praise of God. Submit to the King • v.32) "So those who were sent went away and found it just as He had told them" • As I keep submitting to God's Word, I will see how much God keeps His Word.
