Nishit Madlani argues that consumers have not adopted EVs widely enough. He points to lagging sales in the U.S. and Europe, while Chinese EVs like BYD Co. (BYDDY) saw sales accelerate. However, Nishit still sees Tesla (TSLA) as an industry leader. David Wagner goes against Nishit's thesis, saying "I don't like Tesla right now." That said, David sees adoption of EV technology driving in "the right direction."======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Subscribe to the Market Minute newsletter - https://schwabnetwork.com/subscribeDownload the iOS app - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/schwab-network/id1460719185Download the Amazon Fire Tv App - https://www.amazon.com/TD-Ameritrade-Network/dp/B07KRD76C7Watch on Sling - https://watch.sling.com/1/asset/191928615bd8d47686f94682aefaa007/watchWatch on Vizio - https://www.vizio.com/en/watchfreeplus-exploreWatch on DistroTV - https://www.distro.tv/live/schwab-network/Follow us on X – https://twitter.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/schwabnetworkFollow us on LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/schwab-network/About Schwab Network - https://schwabnetwork.com/about
"In a world of tariffs, everyone is expecting growth to slow down," says David Wagner. However, he's confident market leaders will drive the SPX forward. David points to Nvidia's numerous developments in Saudi Arabia as promising signs for the A.I. giant. He adds that A.I. continues to drive development across the mega caps, noting strong earnings from Alphabet (GOOGL), Meta Platforms (META) and Microsoft (MSFT).======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. Moths are largely creatures of the night, which means they may not get as much publicity as their day-flying relative, butterflies. Moths are more diverse than butterflies, probably more abundant, and most certainly play a key role in the natural world. Honestly, moths are some of the coolest insects and we are excited to highlight them in today's episode.Joining us to talk about moths is Dr. David Wagner, an entomologist and professor of ecology and evolutionary biology at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on the biosystematics of moths and invertebrate conservation. That means he doesn't only work to understand how moths relate to each other, but also how they interact with the outside world, the threats they face, and how we can work to protect them. He is the author of several books, including Caterpillars of Eastern North America, which won a National Outdoor Book Award in 2006 and is now an app for phones, so you can take Dave's wisdom with you wherever you go.Thank you for listening! Let's be fair, that wasn't what we'd hoped for. The On The Ball Norwich City Podcast takes stock at the halfway stage of the play-off semi-final between Norwich City and Leeds United, with no goals to speak of. That didn't stop Steve Sanders (aka NCFC Numbers), Dan Brigham and Zoe Morgan from having plenty to discuss though, with the trio soaking up another electric Carrow Road atmosphere, lauding the return of Dimi and the continued excellence of Nunez, and sweating on the fitness of the probably-absolutely-fine (according to David Wagner's post-match assessment) Josh Sargent. Plus curries, Call The Midwife slander, other clubs' owners taking our sage advice, and the reasons why we're actually going to bloody do it and Elland Road and make it to Wembley. OTBC! Call off the trepidation - the top six spot is booked and the On The Ball Norwich City Podcast can start looking ahead to a date with the ex, as Daniel Farke arrives with Leeds on Sunday for a play-off semi-final. Steve Sanders (aka NCFC Numbers), Dave Powles and Connor Southwell try and work out what sort of position the Canaries will need to be in heading to Elland Road, attempt to care more about Norwich City's defeat at Birmingham more than David Wagner, and look back at the topsy-turvy campaign that's led us to here. Plus, referees kissing the badge, pitch invasions, selflessly giving up a ticket, and a healthy dollop of impromptu 2010s NCFC player nostalgia. Learn more about your ad choices. The Maidstone United fairytale continues! Marcus, Luke and Jim shake off their Belfast hangover to look back on the FA Cup fourth round, where The Stones marched on (or rolled in one fan's case), Erik Ten Hag struggled to give away a bottle of wine, and David Wagner obligingly rolled over for a belly rub to kick off Jürgen Klopp's farewell tour.We also address the difficult scenes at the Hawthorns, which led to a long delay in the Black Country derby. Plus, the ghost of Jose Mourinho takes another managerial casualty and DR Congo's goalkeeper channels his inner Michelle McManus.
