Transitions are one of the toughest things both in life and on the yoga mat, but not necessarily for the reasons you might think. This is the first episode in a 2-part series on making transitions effortless. We are constantly being faced with transitions, from the everyday moments like getting the kids out the door in the morning or moving through the highs and lows in your personal cycle, to the larger life experiences like retirement, having kids, marriage or menopause. And although transitions are necessary, they are one of the things that can make life feel more challenging than it has to be.In this episode, I talk you through the real reason transitions can feel heavy and take you through a visualization to help you identify the process that happens when you are going through a transition.Resources:Intention-setting Worksheet - It's time to set intentions with the new moon and get back on track if you've fallen off over the winter!#36: Cultivating Healthy Communication in Relationships with Katie RosslerMore Episodes Like This:#16: Transitioning Through Seasons of Life#63: Transitions#54: Taking Action and Letting It Go, Energetic Rhythms Phase 3Grab the full show notes and resources at www.cairnyogawellness.com/podcast68 and subscribe and listen wherever you catch your podcasts:

Want to be deeply formed by Christ in the new year? This week we have 4 rhythms we encourage you to develop in order to remain connected and grow in your walk with Christ.
Transitions get you from one thing to another, and naturally they may feel clunky, especially in the beginning. They are asking you to do something different than what your body and mind are comfortable doing. From the time you are born until the time that you die you are faced with transitions of every kind in life. There's really no escaping them. They can be simple transitions like waking in the morning or more complex, like retiring from a 30+ year career. They all correspond to the rhythms of life, yet they aren't always fun or easy. It's often those more complex transitions that we want to rush through to just hurry up and get to the other side because we know they are going to be tricky, but those are likely the ones you learn the most from; and that's what today's episode is all about.Resources:Daily Rhythms TrackerExploring the Backyard: A Mindfulness Meditation for KidsGrab the full show notes and resources at www.cairnyogawellness.com/podcast63 and subscribe and listen wherever you catch your podcasts:
We all have a way of life. We say no to some things to say yes to others. What would it look like to say yes to the things that help us further our spiritual life? And what things might we need to say no to in order to have a deeper and more abiding relationship with Christ? As we continue our look into the new year, we examine the Rules of Life and ask whether Jesus had a Rule of Life too. Speaker: Brad Bell

Becoming Christ-like involves more than just reading the Bible. We need to study how he led his life, and the things he did.
Leviticus 23Life is chaotic, stressful, and remarkably not what we would choose for it to be. Is there any hope for recovering our life? I think so.
In today's episode, we talk about the primary life rhythm that we have implemented that has helped us battle exhaustion and burnout in our lives. Giving ourselves a day a week that is focused on the things and people that make us feel alive, has been so renewing, restful, and life-giving.
