This Bible study covers Leviticus chapter 2, focusing on the grain offerings and rules for first fruits. It discusses seasoning offerings with salt as the covenant of salt and why certain first fruits portions are not burned on the altar. We explore the meaning of these offerings, the difference between oblation and sacrifice, and the role of frankincense. We share thoughts on careful Scripture reading while openly admitting areas we don't fully understand.
Pastor Gerrit teaches verse-by-verse through 2 Samuel 19, focusing on David's return to the throne and the responses of those who helped bring back the king. This Bible teaching looks at David's restoration, the repentance of Shimei, the loyalty and contentment of Mephibosheth, and the generosity of Barzillai, highlighting themes of humility, mercy, gratitude, and faithful stewardship. As the chapter unfolds, Pastor Gerrit connects these events to the call to place Jesus on the throne of our hearts and to turn from the false kings that compete for our loyalty. The study also speaks to receiving correction, extending forgiveness, and finding contentment in the Lord rather than in His gifts. This verse-by-verse teaching through the life of David offers practical encouragement for daily surrender to Christ and a growing relationship with Him through clear Bible teaching.
Have you ever tried your best to show someone you love them… only to feel like it didn’t quite land? You did the thoughtful thing. You said the kind words. You showed up. And yet something still felt missed. This week on The Love Offering Podcast, I had the joy of sitting down with Dr. Gary Chapman to talk about his newest book, The Love Language That Matters Most. For decades, his message about the five love languages has helped millions of people better understand how to give and receive love. But as he shared in our conversation, discovering someone’s love language is only the beginning. Each love language has what he calls “dialects”—deeply personal ways love is expressed and received. Miss those nuances, and even the right language can fall flat. It was such a rich and practical conversation. We talked about: Why love often gets lost in translation—even when our intentions are good How to personalize love so it truly resonates with the people closest to us What this looks like in marriage, parenting, friendships, and even caring for aging parents How to pay attention to the subtle clues our loved ones are giving us One of my favorite reminders from Dr. Chapman was this: “The love language that matters most is the one your loved one is longing to hear.” Isn’t that simple—and yet so profound? As someone who cares deeply about loving well in our everyday lives, I found this conversation to be both grounding and hopeful. Love isn’t complicated, but it does require attentiveness. It asks us to slow down, to listen closely, and to serve the heart before us. If you’ve ever felt misunderstood—or worried that someone you love feels that way—this episode will encourage you. May the Lord give us eyes to see and ears to hear the hearts entrusted to us. This is the third session of our second Module - Foundation. In this session of live teaching at the message Trust https://maps.app.goo.gl/dS331ujc4KJTTAhq7 We think of rooms as individual relationships, which then produce personal responsibilities. This links to the idea of identity, which a lot of people struggle with. This Bible based approach says that your identity is formed by your roles in life. Father, Mother, brother, sister, these are the roles that God has designed and He uses them to knit us together as a fellowship of saints.

He begins with the parable of the Good Samaritan, highlighting the lawyer's challenge to Jesus about inheriting eternal life and explaining both the literal and allegorical meanings of the parable. Fr. Matthias shows how the priest and Levite represent the Old Testament law and prophets, while the Samaritan symbolizes Christ's compassion and salvation through the Church. He then contrasts the attitudes of Mary and Martha to discuss the balance between service and devotion, emphasizing the priority of listening to Christ's word. Finally, Fr. Matthias breaks down the Lord's Prayer, emphasizing its role as a personal conversation with God, the meaning behind each petition, and the call for humility, forgiveness, and submission to God's will. Fr. Matthias Shehad explores chapters 9 and 10 of 2nd Maccabees, highlighting God's judgment on Antiochus IV and the military victories of Judas Maccabeus. He describes Antiochus's arrogance, his divine punishment through illness, and his eventual repentance as he humbles himself before God. Fr. Matthias compares Antiochus's transformation to biblical examples of pride humbled by God. The teaching then shifts to the restoration of the temple, the institution of Hanukkah, and the continued conflicts involving Judas Maccabeus against enemy forces. Fr. Matthias emphasizes the role of prayer, divine intervention, and the challenges of internal betrayal faced by the Jewish resistance. Fr. Matthias Shehad explores the Parable of the Workers of the 11th Hour from the Gospel of Matthew, focusing on its teaching about God's mercy and the reversal of worldly values in the kingdom of heaven. He explains how the parable illustrates God's willingness to welcome and reward those who come to Him late in life just as generously as those who have served Him from the beginning. Fr. Matthias connects this lesson to the attitudes of the first workers and the need for humility, mercy, and service in the Christian life. He also discusses Jesus' foreknowledge of His suffering and death as the Son of Man, and how true greatness in God's kingdom is about servanthood, not earthly power. This Bible study emphasizes faith, salvation, and the contrast between human expectations and God's ways as revealed in the Gospels. https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/daily-devotions/20260203dev.mp3 Listen to Devotion Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness, and redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30 Wisdom from God If you have ever wondered what it means for your identity to be Christian, wonder no longer. This Bible verse answers the question. Everything a person is as a believer begins and ends with Christ. The Bible says that Christ “has become for us wisdom from God.” That means you don’t have to figure out how to reach God. You don’t have to decode spiritual mysteries through your own intelligence or intuition. God’s wisdom has already come to you, wrapped in the person of Jesus. When you look at Christ crucified, you see God’s heart, God's plan, and God’s love laid bare. Christ is your righteousness. Think of that word the way a judge would. Righteousness means innocence, a perfect record, a spotless standing before the law. You don't earn it. You don’t polish it. You don’t maintain it by good performance. Through faith, Christ gives you his own record, his own obedience, his own perfection. In Christ, God looks at you and sees “not guilty.” He is your holiness, too. Holiness isn’t about how flawless you feel on your best days. It’s about being set apart by God as his treasured child. Because of Jesus, you are declared holy even when your heart feels cluttered with the same old sins. Your status in God's family rests on Christ, not on the strength of your spiritual progress. And Christ is your redemption. That word pictures a price paid, a slave set free, a prisoner released. Jesus didn’t just speak forgiveness over you; he purchased it with his own blood. He didn’t just open the door of your cell; he walked you out into the sunlight of a new life. So today, remember what defines you. Not your success or failure. Not your feelings or fears. Not your wisdom or weakness. Christ is your wisdom, your righteousness, your holiness, your redemption. In other words, you have everything you need in him. Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for being everything I need. Teach me to rest in your righteousness, walk in your holiness, and trust in your redeeming love. Amen. This Bible study, based on Baptist Catechism Question 38, explores sanctification as the ongoing work of God's free grace, whereby believers—having been justified by faith in Christ—are progressively renewed in every part of their being (mind, will, affections, and body) to reflect God's image more fully.
Fr. Matthias Shehad explores the baptism and temptation of Christ, drawing from all four Gospels to highlight the theological significance of these events. He explains John the Baptist's role as the forerunner of Christ and discusses why Jesus' baptism fulfills both the Old and New Covenants, emphasizing the connection between circumcision and baptism. Fr. Matthias clarifies the distinction between symbolic baptism and sacramental baptism, and the working of the Holy Trinity during Christ's baptism. The discussion moves to the Temptation in the wilderness, detailing each of the three temptations and their spiritual meanings: bodily desire, pride, and lust for power. Fr. Matthias explains how Christ's experience models spiritual resilience and the interplay between physical actions and spiritual realities. He addresses the importance of scripture in overcoming temptation and reflects on the role of angels in ministering to Christ after his fast. This Bible study deepens understanding of the early ministry of Christ and the spiritual lessons embedded in his baptism and temptation. Fr. Matthias Shehad continues the study of the harmony of the Gospels by exploring the birth and early childhood of Christ. This session covers the Annunciation to the Shepherds, emphasizing their role as the first evangelists who spread the news of Jesus' birth and salvation to all people. Fr. Matthias explains the spiritual significance of Christ's circumcision and His presentation in the temple according to Jewish law, highlighting how Jesus fulfilled and transitioned from Old Covenant practices. The talk introduces Simeon and Anna, who recognize Jesus as the Messiah during His temple presentation, and details the visit of the Wise Men as recorded in Matthew. Fr. Matthias clarifies the timeline of events surrounding Jesus' birth, the star of the Magi, Herod's reaction, and the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. He also addresses the deeper meaning behind these events and their fulfillment of prophecy, including the conflict Christ's coming would bring. Some questions shake the internet… and some questions shake your soul. This Bible study was sparked by a viral post asking, “Would you choose ten minutes with Jesus or a trillion dollars?” While the world debated B. Simone's answer, God used that moment to check my heart — not hers.Because the truth is, most of us aren't choosing a trillion dollars… We're choosing distractions. We're choosing busyness. We're choosing affirmation, productivity, comfort — all the things that quietly pull our attention from the One we say is our everything. This study is not about judging anyone else. It's about examining the places in our own lives where we struggle to live like Jesus is truly enough. If you're ready for a gentle but honest heart check, to slow down and invite God to search you, and to realign your focus back to what matters most — this is for you, Bestie.LINKS MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODEJoin the 40-Day Real Estate Bestie Devotional Challenge

Is Luke 1:35's phrase "that holy thing" disrespectful to Christ, or does it reveal profound theological truth that modern translations miss? This powerful sermon tackles one of the most controversial KJV translation choices and demonstrates why the original wording perfectly captures both the nature and personhood of our Savior. In This Sermon You'll Discover: Pastor Fortunato addresses three major attacks against the KJV rendering of Luke 1:35 and systematically dismantles each argument using Scripture. Learn how Greek grammar reveals the distinction between Christ's holy nature and His divine personhood - a pattern repeated throughout the New Testament in passages like John 1:14 ("the Word became flesh") and Genesis 3:15 ("her seed"). Discover why the neuter gender in Greek isn't disrespectful but essential for understanding the virgin birth theology. This verse emphasizes that what was conceived in Mary's womb was fundamentally different - a sinless, holy nature without Adam's corruption. The Holy Ghost was the agent, not a human father, making this conception truly miraculous. This Bible study explores deep grammatical insights comparing how Scripture uses gender to distinguish between work and personhood (Romans 8:16 vs. John 14:26), and why the "therefore" in Luke 1:35 connects the divine conception to the holy result. You'll see how 1 Corinthians 1:27-28 uses similar language ("foolish things," "weak things") when emphasizing qualities over mere identification. Perfect for: ✓ KJV Bible defenders seeking scholarly backing ✓ Students of biblical Greek and Hebrew ✓ Anyone studying the doctrine of the virgin birth ✓ Those interested in translation philosophy

* 1 Kings: As David's life is draining from him, the nation of Israel is set to enter its most terribly trying times. His son Solomon becomes king with a reign so horrific that he fills Judah with altars to pagan gods and his harem of 1,000 women scoffs at God's command that no monarch should multiply wives. Why are the chapters of sacred history filled with such wickedness? Many theologians have claimed that God actually decreed that His own servants would violate His own commands. This Bible study of First Kings, however, allows the Scriptures themselves to expound on the reason for their disobedience. Lessons for the Christian fill this book, from how to gain wisdom, to learning why wisdom alone is insufficient, to the building of the Temple, to the political and moral lessons from Ahab and his wife Jezebel, and ultimately, to the mighty ministry of the Hebrew prophet Elijah, from the fire on Mt. Join Daily Devotion with Pastor Balla as we reflect on Psalm 19:1-4: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” Today's devotion, The Heavens Declare the Glory of God (September 19, 2025), explores how creation itself testifies to the majesty, wisdom, and power of our Creator. From the rising of the sun to the star-filled night sky, nature preaches a universal sermon that points to God's eternal power and divine nature. This week, Dudley brings us his Monthly Message, The Prevailing Word, from Acts 19, a chapter filled with extraordinary miracles and the reality of spiritual conflict. In it, he walks us through the dramatic story of the Seven Sons of Sceva, offering clear insight into spiritual warfare explained through Scripture. We see how the power of Jesus' name cannot be borrowed or imitated—it must be lived through faith.Dudley also reflects on how the Word of God “prevailed” in Ephesus, transforming lives, leading to repentance, and even sparking a bonfire of sorcery books. This Bible study reminds us that our work in Christ matters, that every act of love pushes back darkness, and that the same Spirit who moved in Acts still empowers the church today.Get Dudley's Weekly Word delivered right to your inbox every Friday!
