With golf back in the swing of things, Si Woo Kim held off Patrick Cantlay's 20 birdies on the weekend at The American Express to capture his 3rd PGA Tour victory, Jessica Korda followed up her -11 60 with a 66 on Sunday at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions to still having to defeat Danielle Kang in a playoff, and Darren Clarke capturing his 2nd Champions Tour title at the Mitsubishi Electric Championship. Finally, Canadian Wil Bateman captured his first Outlaw Tour victory at their second major and biggest purse of the season at The McCormick Open.
It was a wild weekend at PGA West, as Alex and Michael almost had their first winner of the season, only to see Patrick Cantlay's Sunday 61 not be enough as Si Woo Kim closed out the win (1:59). Meanwhile on the LPGA, Jessica Korda recorded the tour's fifth 60 on Saturday, and held on to win in a playoff on Sunday at the Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions (4:05). Past guest Cheyenne Knight had a great weekend as well, finishing T5. Willie Mack III, another past guest, had a great week, learning he'll be playing in the Genesis Open thanks to an exemptions from Tiger Woods (5:40). Tiger will be missing from the Genesis, and a number of other tournaments, as he returned under the knife for yet another back surgery (7:00). Fans are in the future of the PGA Tour, as the upcoming Waste Management Phoenix Open (9:17). Is the Tour ready for this? Premiering at the Waste Management will also be a new second-screen gambling show from Golf Channel, and Alex can't wait (12:06). It'll be hosted by former CoL guest George Savaricas. This weekend, the Tour heads to the iconic Torrey Pines for the Farmers Insurance Open, and Alex shares who he's eyeing to win it all (14:04). Outside of sports, in Tuned In, Alex and Michael are watching some movies, like "King of Staten Island" (2020), and "Wonder Woman 1984" (2020) (16:13).
