You should already know I’m a fan of Lupe. The last time I’ve heard anything from him was “Drogas Wave” in 2018. Very deep. and worth the listen just for the historic and spiritual side. But this EP attracted me because of the production by Kaelin Ellis which always grabs my attention. And of course the lyrical genius of Lupe. Outside of that take a listen to the commentary by Virgil Abloh as well. Pretty damn good.

Lupe Fiasco is back with his album Drogas Wave. This is Lupe's 7th studio album and his first since leaving Atlantic Records. Lupe is considered by many as one of the best rappers to ever spit but has a track record of releasing mediocre projects when upset with the label situation. Now that those issues have been resolved jump in and see if this album holds up to the quality of albums including Food & Liquor, The Cool and Tetsuo and Youth.
