Do you ever feel dead? Or at least not very alive? Like you're stuck in your sin and just can't seem to live like you feel you should? The Bible says that before Christ we were dead in our sins, incapable of life. But in Christ we are now, by grace through faith, made spiritually alive, raised up with Christ and seated in heavenly places with Jesus! What a wonderful gift it is to be alive in Christ!

The subject of grace is the most powerful, most significant truth of God's love for us. Grace is not earned nor deserved yet, we are given it while we are still sinners. Be here on Sunday to bathe in the Grace of God!

Joe Coffey | In Ephesians 2:1-10, we read that we were dead in our trespasses and sins, but because of God’s great love and grace, we have been saved. Because we are naturally spiritually dead, we have little desire to put God at the center of our lives. While we could act like the moon—a cold, dead rock that still reflects the brilliant light of the sun to illuminate the world—we choose not to do so. We could put God at the center of our lives and choose to orbit him, reflecting his grace and radiance to the world, but we want to be the sun, not the moon in our lives. We want God to orbit around us.

Aren’t you thankful that you are not who you were 10 years ago? 20 years ago? In Middle School? I know I am so very thankful that I outgrew the frizzy tight perms and the horrendous multicolored shirt that I thought would be a good idea to wear to picture day. Mostly I’m thankful that I grew out of the negative attitude and insecurities I had as a middle schooler. Even more than that, I am thankful that because of my relationship with God I am able to leave behind the sinful nature of this world. Am I prefect? No. Do I still make mistakes? Yes. Yet because of God’s redeeming love and grace I have a new life and most importantly hope for the future. For this I am extremely thankful! This Sunday I am pressing on in the book of Ephesians and embracing the encouragement that Paul gives to his readers. So be encouraged, God knows who we were. It is up to us to take God at His word about who we now are! We can no longer think of ourselves in the old way, or burden ourselves down with past guilts. In Jesus we are made new. We are His own creations, created to do the good works that he has for us to do.
Meaning in LIFE. Ephesians 2:1-10. In this sermon, Mike explores how we can find true meaning in life by examining Ephesians 2:1-10 and by sharing his own story. We are all looking for meaning in life; for a deeper sense of significance and purpose; for a deeper sense acceptance and belonging; and for true security and a sense of being loved. But where can we find this meaning? Ultimately, only through our relationship with God.
