Manchester City are champions! After playing thirty-five games, City were crowned champions when Arsenal lost their thirty-seventh game against Nottingham Forest this weekend. Pep's dominance over English football is cemented in a three-peat of league titles, a feat not occurring since Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester Untied team did it in the 2000's. Now is the perfect time to start the debates over which Manchester team is better. Elsewhere in the league, Newcastle United have secured Champions League football for next season. The turn around from when Eddie Howe first joined to where they are now has Newcastle supporters everywhere excited for the future. Liverpool and Manchester United will battle it out for the final spot in next season's UCL, but United need just one point over their last two games to ensure their place. Everton Leicester, and Leeds United are all fighting to avoid being relegated alongside Southampton. Two of those three teams will see their stay in the Premier League come to an end, many interesting plot points to be figured out over the next week of English football. The penultimate match week of the Premier League before the World Cup break has come and past. Ten matches were played and the 'Big 6' finally have a win away from home against another 'Big 6' team. Both Arsenal and Liverpool got their victories away from home against Chelsea and Spurs respectively. Elsewhere, City seemed to get a lucky win against Fulham. A last minute penalty let City slip away for all three points. Leeds make it two wins in a row in a seven goal thriller against Bournemouth. Unai Emery got his second stint in the EPL off to a good start, picking up all three points against United. Drop a comment below and let us know which matches you watched and what stood out to you in the Premier League this weekend. This is the new format for Red Card Radio.
