Join Oliver as he chills with hilarious stand up comedian Greg Houston! A comic for nearly a decade now, Greg has opened for the likes of Tig Notaro and Doug Stanhope! He also now hosts a comedic news panel live on Twitch for his show 'Houston We Have A Problem'! Things start off with Greg discussing his fast-approaching move to London, England this fall and Oliver quizzing him on British slang terms. The conversation then shifts to chatting about legendary Canadian comedy icon Mike MacDonald (who Greg also worked with). Later on Greg explains his love for 'Fast & Furious' franchise and Oliver's Dad addresses the distracting nature of John Cena's intense bicep vein. These are only a few of the topics that arose during this spirited discourse! Recorded on August 14th, 2021 Audio/Visual Production by Brian Reilly Edited (poorly) by Oliver George Additional editing and graphics by Maverick Reilly ARCADE- Oliver: 16 / Guests: 6 (Greg was triumphant!)

It's always fun when we can base a whole episode off Christina's heart-break. You'll never guess what we base this episode off of this time.... On today's episode we spend an inordinate amount of time arguing about new sexual slang. Ryan learns why Christina is a mouth-breather by obligation, not choice and we seek to answer the age old question, how old is too old to say "daddy"? Ryan shares his views on the new season of the Bachelor and Christina dishes about season 2 of Friends from College. We were pleased to have Greg Houston re-join us in studio and share about his new comedy life in Toronto (@greghoustoncomedy). Finally, we also thank you for the love you've been showing Scene Partners! Make sure you subscribe, review, and share with your friends your favourite episode.
We meet author and illustrator Jonathan Scott Fuqua, who watched scores of students graduate with college degrees in art -- along with so much debt that paying it down crippled their ability to start art careers. Fuqua and his co-founders, Alex Fine and Greg Houston, set out to offer a much cheaper school alternative, = offering classes more like an apprenticeship, instead of degree-based. Thus, The Baltimore Academy of Illustration opened in 2015. It’s taught about 350 students, including Jim Zimmerman, a full-time electrician -- he tells us how he's reviving his artistic skills and interests, making a dream come true.

It's after Labor Day and with the summer of 2016 now officially over, it's time for students young and not-quite-as-young to head out of the pool and back to the classroom. This transition is no different for artists, but for those living in the Baltimore area, a new alternative to the traditional art education institutions is emerging. Greg had a chance to chat with Baltimore Academy of Illustration instructor Greg Houston about his school's mission to bring high-quality illustration instruction to a student body that may not be best served by the traditional structure (or tuition requirements) of a 3- or 4-year institution.
