  Vince Palamara has a new book release Vince wrote a 22 page letter to Clint Hill, in 2005 which Hill did not like. Hill then got in contact with Gerald Blaine, and this led to the book The Kennedy Detail The Kennedy Detail was co -written by LIsa McCubbin, Hill's future wife, and Hill wrote the foreword That book tries to blame President Kennedy for his own death, Because he did not want agents on the rear bumper. Vince strongly disagrees with this and lists almost 20 witnesses who say Kennedy never said this. Vince also shows that the motorcycle escort for Kennedy was cut back from 4 to 2 on each side, Also, the cyclists were instructed to stay to the rear of the presidential limousine. The motorcade route was not decided upon until the night before, and it was different from the one planned. The Dallas Police did not know the route until they were on it that day. Afterwards the assistant police chief complained about the lack of preparation and precautions Kennedy's regular driver, Tom Shipman, died the month before at Camp David. Bill Greer did not speed up after the first volley, and he turned to look at JFK twice in the back seat. This week, I sat down with Patrick Coyne, founder and chief executive of Laoban Dumplings, for a conversation that reminds you why some brands just hit differently. From teaching English in China to running dumpling shops in D.C. to building one of the most exciting frozen food brands in the country, Patrick's journey is proof that authenticity travels, even into the freezer aisle.We get into how Laoban went from brick and mortar to CPG during the pandemic, with Patrick and his team hand-packing dumplings and delivering them to local stores, often with the brand's mascot, Rollie the Chief Dough Officer, riding shotgun and controlling the music.Patrick breaks down his philosophy on hospitality and why frozen food deserves the same level of care as a restaurant experience. From packaging and cooking instructions to emotional branding and clarity of communication, every detail is intentional. CINEMATIC VIOLENCE WILL BE CELEBRATED IN A WAY THAT MAY DISTURB SOME LISTENERS.  Squib Games Season (S15) continues with an 80's cable classic and special effects extravaganza, the eponymous F/X (1986).   Director Robert Mandel best known for his 1992 drama School Ties had no major studio film to his credit when he was hired to direct the two top tiered Bryans: Aussie sexpot Bryan Brown as the Hollywood special effects guru Roland “Rollie” Tyler, an immigrant framed by crooked law enforcement in an intricate double-fake out murder leaving him a marked man, and Brian Dennehy (returning to the action genre, see First Blood from earlier this season) as Detective Leo McCarthy who plays by his own rulebook and likely soon up for retirement who suspects Rollie might be innocent. Pod favs Diane Venora (Bird, Heat, The Insider) has a minor role as the aspiring actress love interest and Tom Noonan (Manhunter this same year) plays a tall goon. Surprisingly for an action-intrigue movie set in the 1980s, there are a pleasant number of professional women getting the job done, although those who pop most on screen are Rollie's and Det. McCarthy's respective sidekicks.  Mixing reveals on how effects are done in real life with FX in the reality of the movie's world provides a great primer for this season's gun play as well as lets the movie's hero exact lethal revenge without having to hold a gun. Such a fun concept, the premise spawned a sequel five years later starring the two Bryans and five years after that a forty-episode, two-season Canadian TV series starring neither Bry/i/an.  The hosts this ep spitball alternate castings for turning F/X from a action-thriller into a b-movie gorefest; Ken's feels safe to share his big glasses frame fetish; Ryan's presents a theory on why straight women wore out copies of their VHS's; and Thomas gets the opportunity to mention both The Rage: Carrie 2 and Psycho III in nearly the same breath.  Jack, this season's visiting guest host and inspiration for Squib Season, is off again this week on some continental op but will return for next episode with the book report for Miller's Crossing.  Fun final fact: F/X is the first movie since TGTPTU Season 4's Cage/Uncaged to have a forward slash (or a “stroke” for our speakers of British English) in its title. Rollie is also the co-creator and co-host of podcast The Climate Denier's Playbook. He did his undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech and graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Scott's laboratory is called VIVA – Virginia Image and Video Analysis. They work on image analysis problems from imaging for Alzheimer's disease to analyzing classroom videos for improving elementary math education. Scott also recently worked for the National Science Foundation as a program director for programs in signal processing and artificial intelligence.
