Ahead of the release of the first Just An Insight Charity Sampler we find out more about the organisation that we will be supporting. We speak to one of the co-founders of the organisation Heads Above The Waves, Si Martin. Heads Above The Waves is a not-for-profit organisation that raises awareness of depression and self-harm in young people. Si also plays drums in the pop-punk band Junior, and during the conversation we get into how drums really helped him with his own mental health, how it led to the formation of HATW and what the organisation hopes to achieve long term. The 20 track charity sampler will be released on Thursday April 1, so keep an eye on all our social media posts. Hannah Morgan, the co founder of something close to our hearts head above the waves. This Plate spinning 400mph chick gives the advice of keeping hydrated but will make you feel like you’ve known her forever. From running club nights, working a not for profit organisation that helps young people talk about depression and self harm and whatever else she’s got on Hannah is is our friend you need to listen too. This longer episode pins mat and jacks mental health experiences down and hopefully will help eradicate any negative stigma attached to visiting a councillor. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- www.headsabovethewaves.co.uk www.instagram.com/headsabovethewaves www.facebook.com/headsabovethewaves www.twitter.com/HATW_uk --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/progression-over-destination/message
