I hate to say it, but I always knew that the Affordable Care Act was never going to FIX the healthcare system in America. It was crony-capitalism right out of the chute and the American middle class got left holding the bag! Liberty, property and free markets are the cornerstone of the American experiment. Abandoning these principles doesn't lead to more prosperity, it leads to less. I never really understood the concept of trying to evade reality. Reality exists and attempting to evade it just leads to great problems down the road. We all know this but when it comes to government, we somehow imagine that evading reality collectively will make a difference. Well, it simply does not.Essay "The Law" by Frederic Bastiathttps://mises.org/library/book/lawThe Affordable Care Act Notes

Manifestation isn't broken, you just need better tools. In this episode, Mia Magik joins me to flip the script on everything you think you know about creating the life you want. Forget the vision boards for a second. Mia's approach is rooted in healing, not just hoping. She explains why manifesting love starts with examining where you're being unloving, and why calling in abundance means looking at your scarcity patterns. We discuss the physical toll of consuming true crime and drama-filled content, the proven science of water holding intention, and simple kitchen rituals that turn your daily routine into a manifestation practice. Mia also opens up about her own journey through relationship struggles, self-betrayal, and finding her way back to her power through some seriously uncomfortable inner work. This conversation touches on the Sacred Rage Ritual, why women's anger is revolutionary, and Mia's current explorations with Tantra as a tool for understanding power, surrender, and healing. Whether you're new to manifestation or your practice has gone stale, this episode offers practical wisdom you can use today.Connect with Mia: https://miamagik.com/Mia on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/miamagik/Link to sign up for Mia's Retreats: https://miamagik.com/2025retreatrooms/Link to purchase Mia's book: IntuWitchinConnect with Sabrina:https://www.instagram.com/Sabrina_Soto/www.SabrinaSoto.com

There's a whole genre of ineffective spirituality--whether it's love and light, wearing white and saying mantras hoping something will change, or even just saying affirmations and desperately hoping for something to happen. All of this falls into a distorted version of awakening, that I call pseudo-awakening. Pseudo-awakening is problematic and counter-productive because it only feeds the ego/mind's need for importance, to be seen as “better than” in a certain way, which ironically pulls you further from the awakening that you wished you had. In this episode, we're talking about pseudo awakening, what it is, why it hijacks true awakening and how to know if you're doing it. The Group Frequency Calibration® (GFC) that I did for this episode will help you to begin to center in the body so you can be more present and aware, and positively impact not only your awakening but your life in general! Without clearing these layers of distortion it can easy to just get stuck at the same level in the ego/mind. Just ahead of the release of his new single Permanent Vacation (dropping June 18), genre-bending artist Duckwrth joins Shan for a raw and revealing conversation on why some men detach, ghost, and repeat the cycle. Duckwrth opens up about his own evolution—from polyamory and emotional avoidance to developing a deeper sense of self-awareness and desire for real connection. If you've ever dated a fuckboy, been affected by one, or are reflecting on your own relationship patterns, this one's for you.

Let me ask you something—have you ever felt like you're making progress in life, only to suddenly hit a setback and think, What the hell? I thought I was on the right path! Why is this happening to me?Maybe you've been training consistently, eating well, and then—boom—you get sick, or injured. Maybe you've been saving money and budgeting, then suddenly your car breaks down and eats up your emergency fund. Maybe your relationship has been smooth sailing, then out of nowhere, an argument shakes your confidence. We all experience this, and yet we constantly act shocked when things don't go our way. Why? Because most of us have been conditioned to believe that progress should be linear. That once we start improving in an area of life, it should be like stepping onto an escalator that smoothly takes us upward. We expect steady gains, predictable progress, and minimal resistance. But the truth? Life does not work that way.Progress is nonlinear. And if you don't learn to expect adversity, to factor in setbacks, you're setting yourself up for stress, frustration, and failure. This chapter dives into why we must stop expecting smooth sailing and instead build resilience for the inevitable ups and downs. Because adversity isn't the problem—your reaction to it is.References:“Make Changes That Lasts. 9 simple ways to break free from the habits that hold you back.”Dr. Rangan Chatterjee Brain.fm App(First month Free, then 20% off subscription)Discount Code: coachdamiensdCaldera Lab Skin Carewww.calderalab.comDiscount Code: CoachDLinks:IG:@coachdamien_sd@damienrayevans@livinthedream_podcast YouTube:https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS6VuPgtVsdBpDj5oN3YQTgFB:https://www.facebook.com/coachdamienSD/
On this episode of the Migration Waterfowl podcast, your host Brian Halbleib talks with Rusty Fix, a seasoned waterfowl hunter from Missouri. Rusty shares his experiences in the fire service and how it affords him ample time for waterfowl hunting and habitat management. He discusses the dynamics of waterfowl hunting, including the importance of habitat management, the impact of weather on migration patterns, and the strategies he employs during hunting season. Rusty emphasizes the significance of understanding pressure in hunting and reflects on the challenges faced by hunters in recent years due to changing conditions. The conversation provides insights into the life of a dedicated waterfowl hunter and the evolving landscape of duck hunting. Rusty also discusses the various factors affecting duck migrations and waterfowl hunting, emphasizing the impact of weather, pressure, and misconceptions about flooded corn. He explains how these elements interact to influence duck populations and waterfowl hunting success, particularly in Missouri. The discussion also touches on the role of conservation efforts in maintaining healthy duck habitats and populations. Takeaways: Rusty has been in the fire service for over 15 years. He manages family wetlands that have been in the family for over 100 years. Rusty splits his hunting time evenly between public and private lands. He emphasizes the importance of habitat management for waterfowl. Weather significantly impacts duck migration patterns and hunting success. Rusty believes in giving hunting areas a seven-day rest to improve success rates. He actively scouts for ducks using technology like OnX. The duck population has been declining, affecting hunting experiences. Rusty shares that pressure from hunters can impact duck behavior. He reflects on the importance of community and family in the hunting experience. Weather significantly influences duck migration patterns. Flooded corn is not a major factor in stopping migrations. Pressure from hunters can lead to ducks avoiding certain areas. Ice eaters are not effective in attracting ducks once ice is thick enough. Missouri's conservation areas play a vital role in supporting duck populations. Ducks prefer refuge areas where they feel safe from hunting pressure. The misconception of short-stopping ducks often oversimplifies the issue. Moist soil is more beneficial for ducks than flooded corn. Duck hunting pressure varies significantly between states like Missouri and Arkansas. Conservation efforts have historically supported duck populations in Missouri.
