Get Started With Muscle Activation Techniques® To Loosen Your Tight & Achy Muscles Without Stretching: https://www.matschaumburg.com Your body has two types of fences that dictate how well it can move. While some people may be very mobile through their hips and knees, other people may be very mobile in their back and shoulders. And some people, no matter how hard they try, seem to never be able to improve their mobility, while other people just need a little nudge and their body completely opens up. Much of these scenarios are determined by the metaphorical fences that we are discussing on this week's episode of the Exercise Is Health podcast. What are these fences and how can you use this information to help your body move better? This conversation will lay out exactly what you need to know. For years, I thought education was something that happened in classrooms, universities, and formal programs. Then I realized that some of the most meaningful learning in my life happened when I took responsibility for my own education. In this episode, I explore how self-education changed the way I think and live, why I recently enrolled in a free Harvard philosophy course, and what happened when I stopped waiting for someone else to decide what was worth learning.I also recommend Fences by August Wilson—a powerful play about fathers, responsibility, regret, and the complicated relationships that shape our lives. If you've ever felt the urge to learn more, think more deeply, or build a richer intellectual life, this episode is for you.Send Me a Text Message with Your Questions

August Wilson is one of America's most-produced playwrights. He's best known for his 10-play series, the “Century Cycle,” which includes “Fences” and “Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.” While many of his plays are set in Pittsburgh, Wilson began his career as a playwright at Penumbra Theatre in St. Paul. One of his earlier plays in the cycle, "Joe Turner's Come and Gone," is running at Penumbra through June 21.MPR News arts reporter Jacob Aloi spoke with director of the production and Penumbra founder Lou Bellamy about the play and Wilson's legacy in Minnesota.
"Good Fences Make Good Neighbors" - but a "good fence" isn't necessarily a tall one. Why are white picket fences disappearing across America? What fear is keeping you from fully trusting God? In Episode 6 of "The Fear of the Lord," Duane Sheriff exposes four major fears that paralyze believers: the fear of faces (people and peer pressure), the fear of fences (obstacles, hardships, and persecution), the fear of foes (spiritual warfare and demonic opposition), and the fear of failure (past mistakes and future uncertainties). Each of these fears represents a different battlefield where Satan attempts to accomplish his ultimate goal—separating us from the love of God and questioning whether God truly loves us.God's love, fully proven through the cross of Jesus Christ, is the foundation for overcoming every tormenting fear. Every trial, affliction, and persecution is not testing God's love for us, but revealing and strengthening our love and faithfulness toward Him. Using biblical examples like David, Moses, Paul, and Timothy, Duane explains how fear of rejection, hardship, spiritual opposition, and personal failure can keep believers from fulfilling God's purpose. This message will encourage you to trust God completely, stand firm in spiritual battles, and discover the freedom that comes from fearing God above everything else.Click for FREE offer ➡️https://pastorduane.com/landing/the-fear-of-the-lord
The story of Abraham and Lot in Genesis 13 reveals a profound truth about living with open hands versus gripping tightly to what we think we need. When their combined wealth created conflict between their herders, these two men faced the same situation but responded with completely different hearts. Abraham, despite having every right as the elder to choose first, generously offered Lot the first pick of the land. This wasn't weakness but faith in action - Abraham understood that when God makes a promise, we can afford to be generous because our future isn't dependent on our negotiations.Lot made his choice based purely on what looked good to his eyes, selecting the well-watered Jordan valley that appeared prosperous and practical. However, his sight-based decision led him toward Sodom and Gomorrah, cities that would later be destroyed. Abraham chose differently, not based on appearance but on trust in God's character and promises. After Abraham surrendered his right to choose, God responded by expanding his vision and promising him more land than he could see in every direction. This contrast reveals a fundamental principle: we're all building something in life, but the question isn't what we're building but whether we're building with open hands. Are we constructing fences of control or altars of worship? Fences say this is mine while altars say this is Yours. When we release our grip on what we can see and control, God often expands our vision and provides in ways we never could have secured for ourselves. The invitation is to trust that God's promises are more reliable than what our eyes can see.

It's a powerful way to strengthen your claims expertise. PACE begins with a Core Curriculum that builds a foundation in insurance basics and the claims process. And because certification courses are included in PLRB Membership, with discounted designation fees, it's a valuable investment in both employee development and organizational success. PACE supports professionals at every stage of their careers and helps teams work more confidently and efficiently." A brewery owner had bollards installed outside the building for safety purposes. One day a teenager veered off the road into one of the bollards, damaging it and the car. The adjuster is wondering if there should be no coverage on the basis that a bollard is a fence. Notable Timestamps [ 00:26 ] - The building owner submits the claim to their property insurer, looking for coverage for a new bollard. They have a standard CP 00 10 10 12, which does not include coverage for fences if the cause of loss was an accidental vehicle crash. [ 01:34 ] - Trivia time! What is a "pub" short for? How many Clydesdales are hitched to the Budweiser wagon? Lite beer was introduced into the U.S. in what decade? [ 04:15 ] - A bollard is a short pole or stump placed to prevent vehicle access without preventing pedestrian access. These may be seen at the entrances to bike paths, or out in front of buildings or arenas. [ 05:40 ] - Under the CP form, a bollard would initially fit under building coverage as an external fixture. Fences are excluded except for certain types of losses (not including this kind of loss). [ 07:30 ] - A line of bollards, like a fence, is something like a barrier that marks a boundary. But, there is no continuity between posts, and it does not prevent pedestrian access. [ 09:11 ] - A historic moment: the team agrees on something! [ 09:37 ] - Courts typically do not construe ambiguous exclusions broadly. "If it's gray, you must pay." [ 10:40 ] - Declarations Pages are typically more detailed in CP forms, and often include small structures. However, at least one court chose not to penalize an insured for failing to list a series of (light) posts. [ 12:26 ] - If a Declarations Page lists most structures specifically but omits some, that may create an issue for the insured. [ 13:25 ] - Strong subrogration potential exists here against the driver. [ 14:30 ] - A cement block wall was considered a fence... at least according to a 1959 case, and under a grant of coverage which is typically construed more broadly. [ 16:40 ] - Tim provides a recap of the scenario and the points above. Today's poem is Something there is that doesn't love by Armen Davoudian. The Slowdown is your daily poetry ritual. In this episode, Maggie writes… “Fences and walls are human-made structures, and they are inevitably eroded by the landscape itself: the rocks fall or are worn down by wind and rain; the wood rots or topples. And what happens when the boundary between what one person owns and what another person owns falls, or fails? Then what?” We're asking you, our community of listeners, to help us select poems to share on the show in an upcoming week of special programming. What poems have you sent friends and loved ones to encourage them to slow down? Send in your own selection, we'll mail you a special Slowdown postcard and sticker as a thank you. We get into the first five episodes of the HBO series Neighbors. What begins as a collection of petty disputes over lawns, fences, animals, and property lines quickly reveals something much deeper: a culture defined by paranoia, hyper-individualism, and the slow collapse of shared reality. Subscribe on Patreon to support making this show, get premium only episodes, and listen to our entire back catalog. patreon.com/wetwired From beachfront property battles in Florida to rural land feuds in Montana, suburban homesteading experiments in Indiana, and conspiracy-fueled standoffs in Texas, the show profiles a collection of misfits. And every one of them is convinced they're in the right. And every one of them is also completely incapable of resolving their conflict. We have some chilling takeaways about how prominently surveillance culture (everyone is filming everyone) figures into nearly every neighbor feud, how actively posting about their beefs on social media virtually guarantees disputes will escalate, and how the convergence of conspiracy thinking, New Age spirituality, and political identity all but ensures a person will be a pig headed ass. We get into property rights and the legacy of Enlightenment brain worms, home ownership as a retirement plan (bad idea), American's obsession with lawns, and how getting the police involved never helps. If there's one lesson to take away, it's this: if you have neighbors, you're on your own. You'd better figure out how to live with them. A theme has emerged this week: as the Dallas County Democratic Party throws in the towel on a lawsuit over denied voting access on primary Election Night, judging the Republican-dominated Texas Supreme Court a hostile venue for that complaint - while our senior Senator John Cornyn reverses himself on the filibuster out of pressure from Donald Trump and Ken Paxton to pass the SAVE America Act, which will allow the GOP to disenfranchise untold millions of American voters - the very foundation of our democracy is now under slow, steady, determined attack. Thanks for listening! “Takes All Kinds”—An American Public Affairs Discussion and Demonstration of Journalistic Theatre Actor and playwright Dan Hoyle and his director, celebrated director/actor Aldo Billingslea, provide an inside look at the creation of their widely acclaimed new solo performance piece “Takes All Kinds.” Dan's blog reminds the viewer that ”I'll be disappearing into these different characters and stories and you'll be glad to journey there with me. They've been traveling with me these last couple years. I think they'll stay with you too.” With “Takes All Kinds,” Hoyle and Billingslea use journalistic theater and embodied storytelling to portray powerful, funny and complex people caught in the social and political currents roiling our society. They create portraits of everyday Americans through moving and funny true stories of American democracy: school board showdowns in Florida, grassroots organizers in Atlanta, barber shops in Las Vegas, deprogrammers of violent extremists in Missouri and more. In this mostly offstage oriented “talk-back” presentation, listeners and observers will have an opportunity to explore with Hoyle and Billingslea how thousands of hours go into a little over an hour show. Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Our shout-out today goes to John Deedrick from Andover, MN. Thanks for your partnership in Project23. We cannot do this without donors like you. Our text today is 1 Corinthians 7:39-40. A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord. Yet in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I too have the Spirit of God. — 1 Corinthians 7:39-40 Paul closes this long and careful chapter with calm clarity. After addressing desire, marriage, singleness, freedom, and faithfulness, he brings everything to rest on one steady truth: covenant still matters. He begins where Scripture consistently begins—with commitment. Marriage is not a temporary arrangement or a casual agreement. It is a covenant meant to endure for life, and Paul states this plainly, without apology or embellishment. At the same time, Paul is not careless with those who have suffered loss. When death ends a marriage, freedom is real. A widow is not bound forever; she is free to marry again, and Paul affirms that freedom without hesitation. But freedom is never detached from devotion. Paul adds a clarifying expression that shapes everything that follows: "only in the Lord." Choice is permitted, but allegiance remains. Desire may move, but it must move under the Lordship of Christ. Paul then offers his pastoral judgment—not as a command or pressure. He suggests that remaining single may bring greater happiness, not because marriage is lesser, but because undistracted devotion often produces more profound peace. His concern throughout the chapter has never been status, but spiritual steadiness. When Paul closes by saying that he speaks with the Spirit of God, he is not claiming superiority. He expresses confidence that wisdom shaped by the Spirit leads to a freedom that does not fracture faith. This final word is the heart of the chapter. Marriage is good. Singleness is good. Freedom is good. But none of them are ultimate. Freedom flourishes best where God's covenant is honored. When boundaries disappear into a field of choices, freedom does not expand—it collapses. But when freedom is shaped by devotion to the Lord, it becomes a gift rather than a threat to your soul. So we are all left with an invitation: live freely, choose wisely, honor the covenant, and remain anchored in the Lord. DO THIS: If you are facing a relational decision, write down what freedom looks like "in the Lord." Ask not only what you want, but what honors Christ. ASK THIS: Where do I confuse freedom with the absence of boundaries? How does covenant protect rather than restrict true freedom? What decision am I being called to make in the Lord right now? PRAY THIS: Father, thank You for the freedom You give and the wisdom You provide. Teach me to choose within Your design, to honor covenant, and to trust that true freedom is found in devotion to You. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Even If"

By Paul Rowe - What is freedom? For time immemorial, there have been people who claim that freedom means no rules. Yet the Bible claims that the Law with all its “thou shalt not” commands brings freedom. Let's explore this concept and find out what freedom really is.
