This week's MLB Pipeline Podcast takes us to Iowa as much of Major League Baseball descends on the Field of Dreams this week. Then, they look at Wednesday's High School All-American Game, with top prep players from the 2027 Draft class like Dylan Seward and Bryce Cunningham. After that long stop in the Hawkeye State, the guys turn their attention to creating an "All-Teen" prospect team in advance of the new Top 100 coming this week, headlined by Jesús Made of the Brewers and the A's Leo De Vries, then break down a trio of MLB debuts, all in the AL Central: the Twins' Kaelen Culpepper, the Guardians' Angel Genao and White Sox lefty Hagen Smith. You likely recognize the quote “If you build it, he will come.” It took off in the American lexicon from the 1989 Iowa baseball film, "Field of Dreams." People have been coming to that Iowa baseball diamond in the middle of a cornfield for more than 30 years now — to visit the movie site. Now, Major League Baseball and the town of Dyersville, Iowa have built something new. It's a professional field alongside the film set. On Thursday evening the Twins and the Phillies will face off on it, and the game will stream live on Netflix. The St. Paul Saints will play at the field Tuesday evening against the Iowa Cubs. Jacque Rahe knows the field well. She's the executive director of the Dyersville Economic Development Corporation and has been helping manage the “Field of Dreams” site for years. She talked to MPR News host Nina Moini about the first game at the new field, and why “Field of Dreams” has resonated with fans for so long.

Howard Kellman opens the hour breaking down tonight's 3-9 loss for the Indianapolis Indians to the Iowa Cubs. Mike Maahs calls in as well to unfortunately continue the string of local baseball losses as the Fort Wayne TinCaps fell 4-14 to the West Michigan Whitecaps. Caleb Zuver asks about the coaches perspective of seeing a player successfully return from injury. Brendan King, voice of the South Bend Cubs continues the tough news, letting us know that they fell 2-15 to the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
