This week, Patrick & Dave are joined by PC Tunney to continue to cover the ongoing drama that is the NBA and NHL Playoffs. In the NBA Playoffs, the New York Knicks closed the book on a surprising shellacking of the defending champion Boston Celtics. They meet the Indian Pacers in the ECF, in a resumption of a bitter rivalry, with the highest stakes possible. Out West, the Minnesota Timberwolves waited to see who would emerge from the Denver vs OKC series. In the NHL Playoffs, the guys discuss the Carolina Hurricanes' dominant thrashing of Dave's Capitals, while the city of Toronto braced itself for more disappointment. Meanwhile, Edmonton vs Dallas, in the WCF, looks to be an actual battle for the ages, on paper anyway. The guys conclude by talking about how Shoeless Joe Jackson and Pete Rose have been deemed eligible for the Baseball Hall of Fame. The timing of these decisions is a bit head-scratching, but the guys break it all down for you here. So TUNE IN!This week's hosts... A busy week in Latin America gives our team a chance to run you through a bunch of fascinating stories from Brazil to Chile to Peru to Argentina. This is the LatAm lowdown on iGaming Daily, sponsored by Optimove. With Fernando Noodt in the host's chair, joined by a rotating cast of experts including Ricardo Assis and Ana Maria Menezes from Brazil, and Lu Gando and Damian Martinez from Argentina, we kick thing off in Brazil to cover two major court rulings. Firstly in São Paulo, a court ruling against Betano forced the operator to lift a betting limit on a customer's account. The judge found no evidence of problem gambling, fraud, match-fixing, or terms breaches and ordered Betano to pay court costs and legal fees. While 400 or so miles north, in Minas Gerais, the court ordered B365 to reactivate a user's account that was blocked apparently due to the better's profitable performance The court found the platform's contract clause allowing unilateral account termination to be abusive, violating principles like good faith and contractual balance under Brazil's consumer protection code. The precedent is set, arbitrary rulings can be challenged through the courts in Brazil, and moves that operators have made all over the world, might not wash in the new regulated market. Is this a good thing? Or could this prove problematic? What impact does this have on problem gambling? And how will operators deal with this uncertainty? Elsewhere in LatAm, our Spanish speakers tag in to discuss an ongoing collusion investigation in Chile, involving casino operators Marina del Sol, Enjoy, and Dreams. An appeal to revoke the existing licenses of the three operators by Corporación Mayor, was rejected by the justice system but the push for a ban on future bids continues amidst ongoing bidding process. In Peru, Illegal gambling operations are a significant concern since the industry was regulated in February last year, Authorities have intensified oversight, resulting in the closure of illegal establishments and the removal of 50% of illegal websites from the Peruvian market, reducing the supply of illegal gambling on digital platforms and applications by 40%. Our experts bring you up to speed on the state of play in Peru. And finally in Argentina, Betano are back, but this time in a much more positive story. Kaizen Gaming's Betano brand has reached a major sponsorship agreement with iconic Argentine football club River Plate, The deal is reportedly for three seasons at approximately $6 million per year. This partnership is expected to significantly increase Betano's exposure, especially through River Plate's participation in the Copa Libertadores and the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.Host: Fernando NoodtGuests: Lucía Gando, Ana Maria Menezes, Ricardo AssisProducer: Anaya McDonaldEditor: Scott FultoniGaming Daily is the official podcast of SBC Summit Malta. In the nearly seven years since the Supreme Court legalized sports betting, it has exploded as an industry. Last year, 67.8 million Americans put down bets worth a total of $23 billion on the Super Bowl alone. And where once official leagues like Major League Baseball decried betting as an “evil” that would damage the sport, now gambling on games and players' performances is being embraced as wholesome entertainment. As fans put down bets ahead of the national college football championship this Monday, we'll talk to sports betting experts about how gambling has impacted sports, the players, and the people who bet on them. Guests: Ryan Rodenberg, professor, Florida State University Danny Funt, journalist, Funt has written for the Washington Post about sports betting. His forthcoming book on sports betting is titled, "Everybody Loses" David Purdum, writer, ESPN, Purdum covers the sports betting industry

We are officially watching the death of "woke" in America and it's really accelerating post election. Walmart and the University of Georgia are the latest as organizations everywhere now see the error in their ways being persuaded by the crazy left. It's over. And if Jaguar didn't get the memo... well... it's been nice knowing them. Trump threatens Mexico and Canada to shore up the border by January 20 or it's going to cost them big. Conservative culture is thriving everywhere including Hollywood. I've got a clip to prove it. KU and Duke take center stage in Las Vegas for a can't miss non conference game. These teams couldn't be more different and I will tell you why that benefits KU. The Chiefs have been hanging their heads a little after needing some drama to beat the Panthers. That has to be a good thing. Meanwhile, some fool lost $1 million at Caesar's Palace Sunday on the dumbest bet of the year and Alec Baldwin trashes America at an event in Italy. ughh.
