Today on the show I speak with author/drummer/musician - Joey Cassata.Joey Cassata is an American based author/drummer/musician who gained notoriety as a player in the early 2000's with his Rock band 'ZO2', the band even becoming the subject of a television series called 'Z-Rock' and exposed him to a large audience worldwide. From there, he continued to climb the ladder of success and became a member of the 'Trans Siberian Orchestra' for 13 years, recorded drums on the late/great Ace Frehley's record '10000 Volts', has an amazing KISS tribute band called 'The Handsome Devils' and was most recently even announced as the new drummer for the latest 'Twisted Sister' tour. Additionally, Joey has a 'KISS' related podcast (Podcast Rock City Live), had an amazing career as an author with his books 'Kiss Drummers', 'The Order Of The Rose' and 'Wrestling With Joeylicious' - to name just a few... Hello, it's me, Billy Amendola, here at Drum Channel East with my guest Joey Cassata. I   I first became aware of Joey and his band ZO2 with the Z brothers Paulie and the late David Z., from their IFC comedy TV series Z Rock.    The trio recorded a few albums, and went on tour opening for their childhood idols. Joey is also a member Trans Siberian Orchestra for thirteen plus years. He's written an Amazon top-selling biography, and performed on Broadway with Josh Groban. Let's welcome Joey to Drum Channel.

This week Tom & Zeus welcome back non-SIOL Hall Of Famer, drummer and author Joey Cassata for a KISS Draft on the KISS 1978 Solo Albums. The SIOL KISS Draft is back. This is KISS Draft XI and the guys enlisted none other than Joey Cassata to help with the draft. The KISS draft is similar to fantasy football drafts, where each person drafts 10 songs each from the 1978 KISS solo albums. The guys discuss, analyze and breakdown the unique KISS 1978 solo albums, their favorites, the songs and the whole concept. They then draft 10 songs each, with the only caveat being you MUST draft 2 songs per album. Insult fly and opinions are given, right and wrong. So tune in to see who had the best draft, who had the worst and to see if Joey can impress Tom & Zeus and possibly become a SIOL Hall Of Famer... he won't.
