1975 was a pivotal year for KISS: It was the year they finally broke through to the masses and the year they released their signature song and the album that put them on the map.We take a look at the events of 50 years ago, starting with the release of Dressed To Kill, as well as the subsequent tour that would give birth to the album that broke the band in a big way, Alive!Bakko (Cobras and Fire podcast) helped me delve into this massive year, arguably the most important one in the band's history. We had fun doing so, as we always do!

This week we talked about Gene Simmons and how we think the world will view him in 50 years. With special guest from WCW WRESTLING The "DEMON" Dale Torborg in attendance as well to talk about the 26 year anniversary him playing the DEMON and a ton more!!
Are You Fighting the Right Enemy? Christians hear a dark, condemning thought and may think, “Wow… that must be me. I must be messed up.” But no—that thought didn't come from you. It came at you. There's a real enemy. He's already been disarmed, but he's still out there running his mouth—lying, accusing, distracting. He can't touch your security in Christ, so he goes after your mindset, trying to steal your peace and hijack your joy. The good news? You've got every reason to ignore that nonsense. This message will help you recognize the battle for what it is—and stop owning thoughts that were never yours in the first place. Click now to watch, and let truth overwhelm the noise! Discussion Questions: Read John 10:10. What does Jesus mean by “abundant life,” and how is it different from what the thief offers? Read 2 Corinthians 11:14. How does the enemy disguise himself as an “angel of light”? Can you think of examples in the world today? Read 2 Corinthians 10:3–5. What does it mean to take “every thought captive to the obedience of Christ”? Read Ephesians 6:10–11. What is the “armor of God,” and how do we put it on? Read Romans 8:37–39. How are conquering and God's love connected in this passage? Read Colossians 2:15. React to this: The enemy has already been disarmed through the cross. Read 1 John 4:4. How does it encourage you to know that “greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world”? Read Philippians 4:8–9. What role does setting your mind play in spiritual warfare?
This episode was fun. Mike is both loved and despised in the KISS community. We wanted to have him on for a chance to see him in a different light. Did it work?

"MARY BETH HUGHES - CLASSIC CINEMA STAR OF THE MONTH" - 3/03/2025 For those of you who don't know the charms of MARY BETH HUGHES, when she was under contract at MGM, she was dubbed "the poor man's LANA TURNER." It was a rather unfair assessment since MGM gave Lana all the plum roles, and Mary Beth got her hand-me-downs. But still, Mary Beth had great comic chops, and no one played bitchy, hard-boiled blondes as well as she. Despite her beauty and talent, she never managed to get out of B-pictures. She did have small parts in great films like The Women (1939) and The Ox-Bow Incident (1942). She played the good girl as often as she played the bad girl, but when she played bad....you were in for a treat. Her pouty lips, snappy dialogue, and petulant attitude lit up many a lackluster production. This week, we celebrate her as our Star of the Month. However, as investigators dug a little deeper, they realized that the evidence began to speak for itself and told a very different story. Hogan's Heroes – a comedy spy WW II TV series “Hogan's Heroes” was a comedy series in the US from 1965 to 1971. But it was a spy, espionage and sabotage show as well – with plenty of violence. It was based on a group of prisoners of war in World War II who were assigned to Stalag 13. On this show, spy missions rule! Decoding this show, we will show you why! Dan and Tom tunnel their way into this series by looking at the characters, the actors who played them, and many of their missions. And yes, “Hogan's Heroes” is a bit dated with some of its portrayal of Germans and women, but we still think it holds up today. We talk about the German roots of some of the key people involved with the series and what Werner Klemperer required of the show for him to take on the role of Colonel Klink. Klemperer was born in Germany and he had a specific demand. We also include clips from the show to highlight our points and bring fun to it as well. With the lunatics running the asylum, there are some classic lines in the series. Some Hogan's Heroes Influencers Some of the episodes we decode have ties to real-world events or other movies. For instance, did you listen to our episode THE HEROES OF TELEMARK-DECODED? Well, one of the “Hogan's Heroes” episodes had roots in the underlying mission portrayed in the movie THE HEROES OF TELEMARK. We tell you which one. Another episode of Hogan's Heroes had similarities to the 1946 Sherlock Holmes movie, DRESSED TO KILL. Other episodes paid homage to TV game shows that were popular at the time. And what did synthetic fuel have to do with the war and this series? So, take a listen to hear about these and many more fun facts about this comedy spy series. Tell us what you think Have you watched “Hogan's Heroes”? What did you think? Is it a spy series? Let us know your thoughts, ideas for future episodes, and what you thought of this episode. Just drop us a note at info@spymovienavigator.com. The more we hear from you, the better the show will surely be! We'll give you a shout-out in a future episode! This week Tom & Zeus review the 1975 KISS Dressed To Kill Tour. This is SIOL's 8th KISS tour reviewed. This was KISS' 4th tour and followed the Hotter Than Hell tour. It began as the Dressed To Kill album was released on March 19, 1975. The tour in support of KISS' third album featured new KISS classics, like C'mon And Love Me, She and of course, Rock And Roll All Nite. The band had still not broken through commercially, but was starting to take off live with its raw energy. KISS began as openers and eventually moved to headliners with opening acts like Rush. The stage was still in its infancy compared to what was to come in a few years. The costumes began similar to Hotter Than Hell and then morphed into what we see on the Alive tour and album cover. The setlist consisted of what would eventually become the ultimate classic live album, KISS Alive! As usual, the guys breakdown the costumes, stage, set list and overall tour. They then rank the costumes, stage, set list and overall tour against the previous 7 tours reviewed so far. So take a stroll down back to a time when KISS was hungry to take over and then stay for the rant at the end of the episode...
