It is midnight in Cozy Corner and around the world. Pour yourself a cup of coffee, put your feet up, and get ready to howl at the moon because it is time for the Late Night Fright. Dan and Faith are hard at work on the graveyard shift down at WKMF Cozy Corner Public Radio, bringing you reviews and analysis of the finest fright flicks ever made along with all of the fake news not fit to print! March is upon us and that means it is John Carpenter month in Cozy Corner. In 1978 the master of terror created the slasher genre with HALLOWEEN and bequeathed to us the character of Michael Myers while launching the film career of Jamie Lee Curtis and giving us all a few thrills and chills in the process. Tonight's film, 1980's THE FOG, proved that the maestro and his writing/producing partner Debra Hill were no flukes. Sidestepping the sophomore slump, Carpenter and Hill gave us a chilling, atmospheric ghost tale full of isolation, mystery and revenge. If Michael Myers was real world terror, the monsters at the heart of THE FOG are his supernatural siblings. Adrienne Barbeau (CREEPSHOW, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, BACK TO SCHOOL), Jamie Lee Curtis (HALLOWEEN, A FISH CALLED WANDA, TRADING PLACES), Janet Leigh (PSYCHO), Tom Atkins (HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH, NIGHT OF THE CREEPS), John Houseman (THE PAPER CHASE, THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR, THE NAKED GUN: FROM THE FILES OF POLICE SQUAD), Charles Cyphers (HALLOWEEN, ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, MAJOR LEAGUE) and Nancy Loomis (HALLOWEEN, HALLOWEEN II) star in this chiller. Join us…if you dare!

Adam and Jared visit beautiful Antonio Bay and as the fog rolls in, we discuss John Carpenter's The Fog.
Welcome to Behind The Sofa! On this week's episode Ollie and Kirsty discuss John Carpenter's "The Fog", The Anti-Strode and Captain Birdseye's IMDB page. We had a few technical issues this week, so it's a little shorter than usual. Sorry!
We're watching movies you voted for this month, and coming in at #3 is John Carpenter's The Fog (1980). The seaside hamlet of Antonio Bay is haunted by a 100 year old curse as a supernatural fog descends, bringing with it the ghosts of angry shipwrecked sailors! Listen as we tremble in awe at the power of Tom Atkins' un-mustached upper lip, our fear of being turned inside out, pirate ghost stories, and atmosphere so pungent you can smell it, all on this week's exciting episode! We live in an era of remakes and sequels. Sound familiar? That is because August we did Originals, movies where Corey (@coreyrstarr) or Jonathan (@berkreviews) had seen a remake but never the original film that inspired it. This month, they are flipping the script and watching a remake of an original they either loved or, at the very least, saw in the aptly named theme of REMAKES!!! As far as the podcast goes, each episode features an in-depth review of the movie for the week. They begin with a spoiler-free review before diving in completely after the needed spoiler warning. However, before getting into the review of the week, Jonathan and Corey discuss what other movies they've seen since the last episode as well as anything else they feel like discussing. To help them decide which of the many films to watch each month they started creating themes for them all. Week 3 - The Fog (2005) Both Jonathan and Corey are fans of John Carpenter's The Fog (1980). There has to be a chance that this 2005 remake directed by Rupert Wainwright and starring Tom Welling, Maggie Grace, and Selma Blair is good, right? Despite only have a 27 Metascore? Well, the premise according to IMDb.com is "A thick mist full of vengeful spirits haunts a prosperous island town off the coast of Oregon, as its inhabitants try to learn their town's dark secret in order to stop it." Sounds similar enough to the original...what could go wrong? --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/berkreviewscom-moviecasts/support

Grab your galoshes, don your slicker... and then forget about both of those, they won't do you any good. We're talking about inclement weather on this week's episode of Nightmare on Film Street - but because we're a horror podcast - it ain't the weather that's going to get you down. Nope! It's the otherworldly, alternate dimension monsters of Stephen King's The Mist (2007), adapted by Frank Darabont, as well as the ghostly manifestations of sailors out for revenge in John Carpenter's The Fog (1980)! So grab your slicker if you want. In addition to the monsters.. there'll also be some water vapor. --- Website: www.NOFSPODCAST.COM (http://www.nofspodcast.com/) Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/nofspodcast Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/nightmareonfilmstreet Facebook Page:http://www.facebook.com/nightmareonfilmstreet Facebook Group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/horrorfiendsofnofs Subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/nightmareonfilmstreet/ Support the Show: Unlock access to exclusive bonus content and earn some other frightfully good rewards, including shoutouts, merch, and swag by supporting Nightmare on Film Street on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/nightmareonfilmstreet) . Imagine yourself cradling a cup of hot chocolate while huddled around a beach bonfire listening to the creeping ectoplasmic meanderings of some washed up law professor that fancies himself a crusty sea captain. That's right you're ten again and it's time to ponder the plight of the doomed 'Elizabeth Dane' along with all your prepubescent chums in John Carpenter's The Fog (1980). Listen in as we keep things at a steady (but not boisterous) simmer discussing Carpenter's other worldly classic.
