AI is going to change the world – or is it? The world of artificial intelligence has been booming, with major corporations and small businesses alike integrating the software into their work. Tom Gruber is one of the minds behind Siri, the iconic virtual personal assistant purchased by Apple in 2010. He's now an entrepreneur and co-founder of another company, an adaptive music company called LifeScore. Gruber told Mike Hosking that compared to some other major technological advances, AI is likely to be on the more transformative end. “It's omni-purpose,” he said. “You can do all kinds of things, pretty much anything involving language on the input and language on the output, with this new technology.” “It cuts across all vertical industries.” LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The inimitable director, writer, producer, and innovative creator Bernie Su stopped by to promote Artificial Season 4 - Artificial: Factions - which sees the audience steer two motion capture created virtual AI's, ultimately splitting the viewers down the middle and forcing fans to pick a side. Bernie walks us through the ways each prior season stepped up the interactivity, and he helps talk us through all the ways he's managed to outdo himself in the newest installments of the series. He talks about how LifeScore will continue to be used to make the music interactive and reactive to the tone the audience sets in the chat. We also learn that Artificial: Factions will see the return of characters played by Dante Basco, Stephen A. Chang, Jennifer Field, and more, as well as the chances of encountering others from past seasons. Bernie broke down the new currency method which will allow twitch streamers to team up and combine the points they gain from viewing the show to influence how their faction's AI will function and respond, even going so far as to providing upgrades such as "fire hands". Obviously, we dug in to find out how extensive the motion capture is and how the businessmen played by Basco and Chang will face off in the new episodes. We learned about the virtual AI and what the intent is behind each of them and how they are represented as well as how they represent different members of the viewing audience. This is an extremely insightful chat, and the third time I've been lucky enough to feature Bernie as a guest. The pilot episode of Literary Joe's Inner Child Podcast featured Bernie as the very first guest on the show, way back when we were restricted to garbage audio quality and no video to include. We managed to snag Bernie again later on in 2020 to discuss the trial of Matt Lin as Season 3 came to a close. And now, more than a year after our first chat, you can finally see Bernie interact (pun intended) with me as we have a wonderful time delivering you the news and updates for Artificial Season 4 - Factions. We're both pretty rad all around, so I have no doubt you guys will enjoy this. Once you realize how cool Bernie is, be sure to tune into Artificial: Factions on Twitch every Thursday at 5pm PST, starting this week on September 9th. What is your LifeScore? Are you winning at the game of life? The term “LifeScore” refers to a trademarked tool from Michael Hyatt — but it is so well named that its meaning is immediately clear. The name itself asks a simple question: Are you winning at the game of life? And if you are […] The post LifeScore: Are You Winning The Game Of Life? So, that's it; the end of Tom Month! What a month it has been though! So to celebrate we are inviting all the other movie Toms to a once in a lifetime party... to eat, drink, and be merry. Only... Arnie has decided to be the doorman and is turning some of them away. Who will make it inside the farty submersible? Before we find out you'll first have to hear Iain and Olly talk about the upcoming films for July 2017, and which ones they actually care to see. During this month's Lifescore we discuss The Mummy and Wonder Woman; two of this summer's most action packed eye fests. Like, subscribe, comment, and enjoy!
Blue Monday has been and gone, so it may feel like all the more reason to just give up your resolutions. #newyearnewme might be falling to pieces, but we do our best to provide some guidance in the form of the best motivational movies to get you pumped up to take on anything...and the worst, most bleak ones to avoid unless you're after a LifeScore™ like most of Olly's. In Seggy One, we go for a new format called "Elevator Pitch" in which Iain produces an entire trailer for a Sean Connery & Arnold Schwarzenegger odd-couple movie, and throughout the whole episode, returning guest Peter Motiv-Cater staves off chronic fatigue.

What is your capacity level? Are you ready for anything? Do you wish you had better skills or were more focussed on one project? Maybe you want to make better progress towards a particular goal but you just don't seem to have what it takes to get there right now. You see the same response from many places: "if you want to grow then you've got to get out of your comfort zone". No Pain No Gain No Rest, No Best 'Get out of your comfort zone' is all well and good, but then what? You've done the presentation that scared you senseless, you've asked out that person you've had your eye on for a while, or you've gone and done a major workout at the gym. Important short term tasks to undertake if you are serious about achieving a certain outcome in the longer term. Great work...now it's time to get back in your comfort zone to consolidate. Human cell regeneration and growth happens, not when we put ourselves through pain but when recover from it through rest. It's not at the gym when your muscle grows. It's not during the presentation that you suddenly become a great communicator. And it's when you're asking someone out that you become full of confidence. No, these moments are bridges that expand the terrain of your 'Capacity Zone'. The growth and progress happens when you get back into your comfort zone and rest. Muscle tissue repairs during sleep. You collate and retain information for the presentation while you are unconscious. Your capacity for growth literally expands as you sleep. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way in order to let our minds and bodies do what they do best...repair and grow. Embrace Your Comfort Zone Self-development and the expansion of our 'Capacity Zone' requires us to take the comfort zone seriously. To enjoy it and spend quality time in there. In this episode of the podcast we explore some truths about what Beth Buelow describes as the Capacity Zone. I talk about why I find this so much more helpful to think about than comfort zone, and why it resonates with introverts and highly sensitive people in particular. Or if you'd rather, this episode is also available on YouTube A Tool To Help Michael Hyatt has just launched a great free tool which will help you measure where you're at right now. He has created this tool that helps us to measure progress so that we can become aware of exactly what areas we need to spend more time and energy on if we want to live the life that we love. Apparently it's only available for a limited time so check it out now. Once you discover your LifeScore, it gives you a great platform to understand the opportunities you have to grow your capacity zone. It's a fantastic precursor to any goal setting you might do as you head towards 2017. Patreon There is a Patreon page for this podcast. This allows you to communicate your support for the show and encourage me to remain consistent in the creation of this content and in constantly seeking to take it to the next level.
