Dr. Mark Farnham graduated from Westminster's PhD program in Apologetics. His book, "Every Believer Confident" was recently released by P&R Publishing. He currently teaches at Lancaster Bible College. Nate sits down with Dr. Farnham to discuss apologetics and how every Christian believer is equipped to do the work of apologetics. It's not just a discipline for those who are trained philosophers or expert theologians. The early Christians didn't get sent off to Athens to learn Aristotelian philosophy before they were allowed to engage their friends and neighbors in evangelism. The Scriptures are sufficient for apologetics. If you enjoy this episode, you can access tons of content just like this at wm.wts.edu. Every year, Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy Week which starts with Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem and culminates with his death and resurrection. As we look at these events through the lens of Matthew's Gospel, we see that Jesus predicts His death and resurrection on numerous occasions. His disciples had many questions, and only understood the significance of why Jesus had to die after He rose again. For us today, we may have similar questions: “Why did Jesus have to die? What did it accomplish? Why is His resurrection so significant? What difference does it make for me?” For some of us, Easter can tend to feel like “just another Sunday,” but Holy Week gives us the opportunity to reflect on the significance of Jesus' death and resurrection and why it has the power to change our lives. This episode features a discussion between Mark Farnham, Peggy Huber, and Steve Kilgore, surrounding the parallel passages in Matthew where Jesus predicts His death and resurrection (Matthew 16:21, 17:22-23, 20:17-19, and 26:2). It's our hope that, as you listen, you'll encounter joy, hope, and wonder as you consider the significance of Easter for yourself.
In this episode, Eli interviews the author of “Every Believer Confident”, on how to practically and easily apply the presuppositonal apologetic method to our everyday discussions.

Why don't many people give themselves any time to face the pain of life or the guilt in their hearts? It is simply too painful. As a result, many fill their lives with distractions or dull the pain in their hearts with addictive substances. Others simply deny that there is any evidence for God. This episode explores three ways people suppress the truth of their guilt before a holy God.

Mark's Profile - We are pleased to welcome Mark J. Farnham to the pulpit this morning. He is the Assistant Professor of Theology and New Testament, Chaplain of the Seminary at Calvary Theological Seminary, Lansdale. Welcome from the Pastor - I am thankful for our special speaker this morning Mark Farnham, and trust you give him a warm welcome. I am finally finished my two weeks and have learned so much, and I am anxious to incorporate that into the ministry. As Solomon shares in Proverbs 17:27, "He who has knowledge spares His word, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit." I pray that this will be true of us as we grow in Christ.
