Chicagoan Pope Leo XIV has been elected—and in this video, Joel Settecase of the Think Institute critically examines the office of the papacy through the lens of Scripture, history, and worldview analysis. You'll get a breakdown of Pope Leo XIV's Chicago roots, progressive alignment with Pope Francis, and the controversies surrounding his record. Then, Joel turns to the Bible to assess the legitimacy of the papal office, showing why Jesus—not Peter—is the true Rock of the Church. This episode concludes with a call to discernment, gospel clarity, and joining a community of men committed to biblical truth.Watch my whole Apologetics Answers playlist here: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLfSpUNYR5qo6sv8Pk8x0tmaq8lLQHHlTm&si=FlnSB-pBhZ6SSaJEMen, get real accountability and knowledge to help you become the worldview leader your family and church need. In this episode we explore the age-old debate of whether science is at odds with Christian faith. My argument is that the scientific method, consisting of steps like observation, hypothesis formulation, and experimentation, inherently presupposes principles that align with the Christian worldview and not with atheism. Each scientific step is detailed and linked to biblical principles, highlighting the harmony between science and Christianity and showcasing the logical inconsistencies within atheism. What Is the Transcendental Argument for God?The Transcendental Argument for God (TAG) was first developed by Cornelius Van Til, the godfather of Presuppositional Apologetics. Since Van Til first articulated it, it has been picked up and worked on by subsequent theologians and apologists. Today you're going to hear from Joel Settecase, Kevin Blessum, Brian Kurkjian and Rob Barker. Joel is the President of The Think Institute (TTI) and host of the Worldview Legacy Podcast. Kevin is a TTI board member. Brian is developing a really cool resource for TTI, and Rob Barker helps run the ThinkSquad community. Each of them is a dad. Each of them is seeking to disciple his family in the Christian faith. And these are exactly the four guys you want to hear from, if you want to know more about TAG and how to use it to respond to the toughest challenges to Christianity today. God's word, empowered by his spirit, is the key to the evangelism and conversion of the world. Presuppositional apologetics is the methodology applying the prior sentence. You can read Zach's article here. I highly recommend reading through his material and following him. For The King! ThinkSquad, have you ever had someone ask you for evidence that God is real? He may tell you he wants some cold, hard, facts to prove that Christianity is true. At first, this seems like a reasonable request. But what if evidence only has meaning if God is real? In this episode you're going to get the answer, in a way that I believe Francis Schaeffer, one of the most important worldview leaders of the 20th Century, might have answered it today. In this episode you'll get answers to these questions: • Why everything in the universe only has meaning in terms of its relationships to other things. • What it means for God to be the “ultimate reference point” for everything. • How to tell someone why his life has meaning in relationship to God. We'll also look at some Scripture passages that are relevant to this discussion. ---- Resources for you: • The ThinkSquad group • Introduction to Presuppositional Apologetics (guide) • So, You Asked for Evidence (article) ---- Please support this work! If you haven't seen it yet, the new report from the Barna Group just came out, and they are reporting that today only 4% of Americans have a biblical worldview. We need more Christians articulating the Christian message. And when we do, our neighbors are going to have questions and objections. That means we Christians need to be ready to defend our faith. We need apologetics. So how do you use presuppositional apologetics? In this episode you'll get answers to these questions: • What IS Apologetics? • Why must we defend the biblical worldview in a biblical way? • How can you start using a simple, three-step method of presuppositional apologetics today? ---- Resources for you: • Biblical worldview 'much closer to extinction' after COVID-19 lockdowns: survey • The ThinkSquad group • Introduction to Presuppositional Apologetics (guide) ---- Please support this work!
