Trek Untold: The Star Trek Podcast That Goes Beyond The Stars!
It's time for me to turn into a fanboy on the show, and I hope the same happens to you when you listen to this interview with Max Grodénchik. You may remember Max best as Rom from "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," the brother of Quark who rose up from being a bumbling buffoon into being married to the lovely Leeta, was the father of the first Ferengi in Starfleet, and ultimately became the Grand Nagus of Ferenginar! Max is one of my favorite character actors of all time, and Rom is one of my favorite characters in all of Star Trek, so we talk in-depth about his experiences on DS9, including wearing the makeup, stories about Armin Shimerman & Aron Eisenberg, how he developed the voice and mannerisms of Rom, and Max even critiques my Rom voice! Before DS9, Max played two other Ferengi in "Star Trek: The Next Generation" in the episodes "Captain's Holiday" and "The Perfect Mate," and shares memories of working with Patrick Stewart and Famke Janssen, as well as his reaction to the first time he wore the Ferengi makeup. Plus, working with Tiny Ron in "The Rocketeer" & Whoopi Goldberg in "Sister Act," thoughts on the Rom action figure from Playmates, baseball stories from "Take Me Out to the Holosuite," his deleted scene from "Star Trek: Insurrection," Max's singing career with "The Rat Pack" of Star Trek, and much more! This week on Total Movie Recall, Steve and Ryan wonder why kids are scared of the stupidest boogeymen. The Leprechaun haunted Ryan for his entire childhood, waiting in dark corners, making it unable for him to pee in the middle of the night. If only he had watched the movie when he was seven years old, and seen how stupid, unscary, unwitty, and half-assed this boring, lazy movie is, he wouldn't have wasted another second being scared. The Leprechaun can't even be bothered to turn limericks into dirty rhymes. Nantucket! It rhymes itself! Leprechaun (1993) d. Mark Jones Starring: Warwick Davis Jennifer Aniston Ken Olandt Dan O'Grady steals 100 gold coins from a leprechaun while on vacation in Ireland. The leprechaun follows him home, but Dan locks the him in a crate, held at bay by a four-leaf clover. Ten years later, J.D. Redding and his daughter, Tory, rent O'Grady's property for the summer.
A tartalomból: - Star Trek Magyarországon a 90-es évek elején: érdekes felirattal terjedő videókazetták, Nulladik típusú találkozások, kezdeti Űrszekerek élmények. - VIP jegyek, klingon útbaigazítás, előadások, merchandising: minden, amit a külföldi rendezvények hangulatáról tudni érdemes. - Történelmi képregények és scifi előadások: amennyiben érdekelnek a témakörök, keressétek Magdit!
