In this episode, I had the pleasure of chatting with Heather Esposito, a holistic life and money mindset coach. Heather shared her fascinating journey, which began with her work mentoring teenagers and led her to pursue a master's in counseling. She recounted her personal struggles, including a significant breakdown that led her to move back in with her parents and battle severe depression. Heather's turning point came when she decided to cut out sugar from her diet, which dramatically improved her mental health and set her on a path to becoming a health coach. Heather's journey didn't stop there. She opened a bakery in Philadelphia that catered to people with various food allergies and even appeared on shows like Cupcake Wars and Unique Sweets. However, after leaving the bakery, she delved into the world of personal development and coaching, eventually incorporating energy work into her practice. This holistic approach helped her clients achieve significant breakthroughs. We also discussed Heather's exploration of money archetypes, a framework created by Kendall Summerhawk. Heather explained how understanding these archetypes can help people align with the energy of money and improve their financial well-being. She detailed several archetypes, including the Accumulator, Alchemist, Celebrity, and Connector, highlighting their empowering and disempowering traits and how they manifest in people's lives. Throughout our conversation, Heather emphasized the interconnectedness of our relationship with money, food, and overall well-being. She shared valuable insights on how changing one's diet and lifestyle can lead to profound shifts in other areas of life, including financial health. This episode is a must-listen for anyone interested in holistic approaches to life and money, and Heather's story is both inspiring and educational. From building the wildly successful bakery mini-chain Nadia Cakes to becoming a best-selling romance author, Abby Jimenez is no stranger to a career pivot. Jimenez spent her early career in a variety of service and retail roles, but when she was suddenly let go from her job as a retail manager, she leaned into her love of baking. With a Michaels cake-decorating course under her belt, Jimenez soon began selling cakes and cupcakes out of her home kitchen, and since then, her bakery, Nadia Cakes, has opened three brick-and-mortar locations, was crowned the winner of Food Network's Cupcake Wars, and has grown its menu to include over 200 cupcake flavors. After successfully growing Nadia Cakes, Jimenez began writing romance novels in her newly earned free time. With some encouragement from her family and constructive feedback from online critique groups, she turned yet another hobby into a full-on career and has since published five novels. Jimenez's sixth novel, Just for the Summer, comes out on April 2. Get back to basics with....DEVELOPMENT BASICS The Biblical Basis for Development for Nonprofit Leaders https://www.fundraisingmasterminds.net/development-basics NEED HELP WITH YOUR NONPROFIT? Most nonprofits are under-funded. Even if you think your nonprofit is doing well, we've found you could be doing much better. However, most nonprofits don't have a clear development strategy that keeps them grounded. As a result, they "get creative" and "try new things" based on what is popular or trending, or they get comfortable with where they are at and don't realize the dangers they will be facing in just a few short years. The Perfect Vision Dinner Course is a 20-week "live video" course that addresses this problem head on. The course was developed by Jim Dempsey after 38+ years as a Senior Development Director at Cru. After Jim had personally done over 2,500 vision dinners in his lifetime and raised over $1 billion worldwide, Jim and Jason have partnered together to bring you Fundraising Masterminds. Our first course, The Perfect Vision Dinner is a time-tested proven formula that will introduce our development system and grow your nonprofit to its maximum potential. The course includes 20-hours of personalized development coaching from Jim Dempsey and Jason Galicinski and also includes a real-time community group where you have access to everyone attending the course and also our Masterminds throughout the course. The goal for this course is to fully equip you with a Biblical basis for Development so that you can Win, Keep and Lift new partners to higher levels of involvement with your nonprofit. → https://FundraisingMasterminds.net FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA: → Instagram: https://instagram.com/fundraising.masterminds → Facebook: https://facebook.com/fundraising.masterminds Episode Keywords: Nonprofit fundraising, mentorship program, Perfect Vision Dinner, fundraising ideas for 2024, fundraising idaes for 2024, fundraising ideas for nonprofit organizations, fundraising ideas for nonprofit, fundraising idaes for nonprofit organizations, fundraising idaes for nonprofit, fundraising ideas for startups, fundraising idaes for startups, top 5 fundraising ideas for 2024, attract new donors, effective fundraising ideas, fostering long-term relationships, nonprofit development plan, jim dempsey, jason galicinski, cupcake wars, jim, nonprofit. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/fundraising-masterminds/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/fundraising-masterminds/support

The 24/7 Cupcake ATM, anyone?!Team Peri is starting off this year's 2023 Women's History Month with the brainchild and co-founder of Sprinkles, Candace Nelson. Candace is a self-described serial entrepreneur, author of the Wall Street Journal's bestselling book, “Sweet Success: A Simple Recipe to Turn Your Passion into Profit,” an Angel Investor, mentor, and a mother to two boys among other things. You might recognize her from her days on Cupcake Wars and her Netflix series, Sugar Rush, where she enjoyed being the talent as well as behind the camera. Today, you will find Candace with her business partner/husband developing Pizzana as she continues on the unconventional path of a successful entrepreneur. The events of 9/11 and the slowing down of the economic 90s dot-com boom, was the impetus for Candace to step out of line to follow her passion and become a pastry chef. As Candace stated about her mindset at that point in time, she realized that everything in life was fleeting and that she wanted to shift gears and do something that brought her joy and “injected more meaning into the world even if that was a small piece of cake”. This dream led her to create her own opportunities and gave her clarity to hone in on her ideas and when to pursue them. Only the ideas of which she is truly passionate about are the one's that she follows through with. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Welcome to October 18, 2022 on the National Day Calendar. Today we celebrate a fashion kick and having your cake and eating it too. Although this wardrobe essential is a year-round staple, Fall is officially the season for leggings. Historically, they added a necessary layer of warmth. In the 1950's and ‘60s they were part of our standard workout wear. Today leggings are a feat of modern engineering thanks to breathable materials, textures and designs. With so many styles from sporty to dressy, you can really kick up your style on International Legging Day. For most people chocolate symbolizes romance, for Kyra Bussanich it means war! Cupcake Wars to be exact. This four time champion of the Food Network's popular tv show is serious about baking and winning. After a diagnosis with Crohn's disease, Kyra decided to try a gluten free lifestyle. She attended Le Cordon Bleu patisserie program and married her love for baking with French techniques. Her long battle with food allergies ended in triumph as she became the first gluten free baker to win the Cupcake Wars heated challenge. Today her shop in Lake Oswego boasts a few of the winning flavors, such as Chocolate Caramel Ecstasy. If you can't make it all the way to Oregon, you might take up the challenge in your own kitchen. On National Chocolate Cupcake Day, celebrate like Kyra by having your cake and eating it too. I'm Anna Devere and I'm Marlo Anderson.
