In Episode 16, we chat about how too many Hot Cheetos can apparently land you in the hospital (and subsequently, which shape Cheeto is the best Cheeto), Alex Trebek's beard and Jeopardy celebrating their 35th season with a (team!) All-Star tournament. For our Marquee Topic, we look at seven trailers for new TV shows premiering this fall on network television and give our thoughts on which ones we might check out and which ones are going to be a hard pass (spoiler: Maureen and I don't agree on a single one). PLUS, in our Teasers this week, Josh recommends some new music and Maureen suggests a movie you can still catch in theaters. Email us at thepoppedcast@vernacularpodcast.com! Liz and Ben just got through a big week of broadcast TV premieres! (There were a LOT.) What shows pleased them most? And which are they not necessarily planning to keep up with.

We know what you're thinking..."Isn't it Wednesday? Where's the intro? No music?" Well none of that matters because this episode will make your ears tingle and you feel things emotionally that you haven't felt in years. It's the FIRST EVER Pop_Not Soda episode without Brett! We know, you're welcome! Brian and Dan are at the helm and they don't waste a minute. They dive right into Dan's empty apartment, rank all of the new fall TV shows (on a scale from Party of Five to 90210), Brian reviews DC's hot mess Suicide Squad (and of course Dan is sympathetic to it) and then the guys phone a contest to compete in the first ever round of 'Star Wars or Florida!' (thank you Rotten Tomatoes for the idea). It's a once in a lifetime episode that you will not want to miss!
This week we’re feeling Jon Benjamin’s new jazz album (2:05), Kyle Kinane (6:20), and Netflix’s Grace and Frankie (11:35). Next, we cover all of the recently released previews for the new 2016 fall network TV shows (16:00). Finally, we go into a non-spoiler (32:30) and then spoiler (47:45) conversation about the film The Nice Guys. ***Spoiler warning: there is a semi-cryptic Firefly/Serenity spoiler at the end (when Jen tells Nathan Fillion's joke) so skip that if you haven't seen it and feel strongly about spoilers.*** Welcome to our third episode! We hope you are enjoying this as much as we are (or even a fraction of that amount is pretty good!)! This week, the geeky ladies of Indoorswomen discuss television! Our segments are "TV to fold laundry to" - our favorite police procedurals, reality game shows, and other rewatchables - and "New Fall TV" - we try out Scream Queens, Minority Report, Limitless, The Muppets, and Con Man and give you the scoop on what we liked (and ... didn't). Thanks for listening! Our Intro/Outro music is "We are Highscore" by Krackatoa!

This week Tiny and I share our thoughts on a couple of random picks from our Netflix lists. Tiny's pick was The Source Family, a documentary about a hippy cult in the ‘60s. My pick was The Crow, the notorious supernatural revenge movie. For potpourri, Tiny talks up The Walking Dead premiere while I talk about some new Fall TV shows I sampled. Before all of that however, I gush about my experience at the Artcraft Theatre's Sci-Fright Frenzy marathon in Franklin, Indiana. The new fall television season is upon us! And from Daniel B. in Boston comes the suggestion to take a day-by-day look at what’s coming up on the tube. Next week we’ll start to cover returning shows and share our first impressions on some new stuff. But we really want to talk about the shows you want to talk about, so be sure to let us know what you’re watching this fall!
