Stop de persen! Een Roadburn editie die komt en gaat, zonder dat er een aflevering van Osmium, de zwaarste podcast in het Nederlands, aan wordt gewijd? Gekkenwerk! Toch was dat bijna het geval. Het festival, dat de onofficiële reden is dat deze podcast ooit is ontstaan, kampte met een wat doffe line-up en een organisatie wiens zelfverzekerdheid ver te zoeken was. Zodoende ontbrak de motivatie bij presentatoren Pim en Niels om de microfoons af te stoffen. Echter veranderden ze van mening toen de pelgrimstocht naar bedevaartsoord Tilburg eenmaal voltooid was. Die hervonden inspiratie heeft een zwart randje. Ja, natuurlijk wordt er gezeken en geprezen over bands, rijen, prijzen, geluidskwaliteit en de dagelijkse gang van zaken. Maar er wordt ook uitgezoomd. “Redefining Heaviness” is nogal een claim om te maken, maar is dat wel het geval? Of hebben we te maken met een stuurloos schip dat steeds verder het vaarwater van zijn concurrenten in drijft? Om deze zware vragen wat luchtig tegengewicht te bieden, wordt er een stapel gele en rode kaarten uitgedeeld aan de meest dubieuze bandshirts van de festivalgangers. Ook wordt er stilgestaan bij de gekkies uit de Roadburners Facebookgroep. Uiteraard mag een (vluchtige) bespreking van het nieuwe album van 's werelds beste hardrockband Metallica ook niet ontbreken. In the first story, Amy and Chris detail the incredible saga of the disappearance Jennifer Dulos went missing on May 24, 2019, all eyes were on her soon-to-be-ex-husband Fotis Dulos, as he had the most motive and opportunity. It wasn't until January 6, 2020 that the police gathered enough evidence to arrest Fotis, his girlfriend Michelle Troconis and Fotis' attorney Kent Mawhinney in connection with murdering Jennifer. Amy and Chris bring you the beat by beat timeline of this case, including how investigators eventually honed in on the 3 main suspects and what led them to such a shocking conclusion. In the second story, Chris and Amy recount the disturbing murder of 17-year-old Bianca Devins by her jealous and enraged friend. After kissing another man at a Nicole Dollanganger concert, Brandon Clark became furious and confronted Bianca on the drive back home. Bianca insisted they weren't exclusive, but this did not quell Brandon's murderous urges. He stabbed Bianca to death, dumped her body in the woods, then boasted about the murder by posting bloody pictures on Instagram and various other social media platforms. Bianca Devins born October 2, 2001 – July 14, 2019 was a teenager from Utica, New York, who was stabbed to death on July 14, 2019, allegedly by Brandon Andrew Clark, after attending a Nicole Dollanganger concert.
