Raised on the Roundshaw Estate in South London, he discovered soul records at age 13, igniting a lifelong passion for music. He quickly became a fixture at iconic London soul venues like Crackers and the Lacy Lady, absorbing the vibrant club culture of the era. At just 15, Ian embarked on an extraordinary journey to New York City with friend Paul Oakenfold, immersing himself in the legendary club scene that would later profoundly influence UK dance music. Upon returning to London, he founded "Candy Box," a youth club that hosted early performances by then-unknown DJs including Giles Peterson and Oakenfold. Ian's influence expanded when he moved to Ibiza in 1984, diving deep into the island's emerging club culture alongside his DJ cousin Trevor Fung. His pivotal moment came in 1987 when Oakenfold visited him in Ibiza with fellow DJs; Ian introduced them to the island's revolutionary party scene, taking them to Amnesia and exposing them to the nascent ecstasy culture.In 1988, Ian returned to London where he promoted the legendary Acid House nights Future and Spectrum—events that kickstarted the UK's acid house revolution. Rolando grew up in south west Detroit, a primarily Hispanic district of the city, he was heavily influenced by his Latin cultural rhythms and percussion. Inspired from an early age by his musician father, he pursued his own interest in music and became well known and respected within the Latino community. It was later when he heard Jeff Mills in 1985 as "The Wizard" that he discovered the innovative sounds of Techno. Through a mutual friend he was introduced to Mike Banks and joined the enigmatic Underground Resistance in 1994. In 1999 'Jaguar' although not Rolando's first release on UR turned perceptions of Techno on their head, breaking into other genres of dance music and becoming an all time classic in the boxes of DJs such as Tenaglia, Carl Cox, Oakenfold, and Gilles Peterson. The track has a long legacy of reworking and lives on to this day many years later inspiring audiences from all genres. In November 2004, Rolando left both Underground Resistance and his Los Hermanos project behind.2014 saw Rolando launch his own label R3 ( Roland Rocha Records) and has more or less exclusively released his own music on his label since. Rolando now a Dj for more than thirty –five years continues to work internationally as a Dj , producer and Remixer with an eclectic clientele such as Marcel Dettman, Kraftwerk, D'Julz, Ben Sims, Skudge, A Sagittariun. Publico algunos singles durante los 80s con moderado éxito. Would I Find Love publicado en 1986 es un clásico del sonido Balear surgido en la isla de Ibiza en aquellos años. Chris Rea músico británico, publico su primer larga duración en 1978. Su sonido se caracteriza por fusionar Blues, Pop, Rock, Soul, Gospel y Jazz. En 1986 lanza como single “On The Beach” pero no fue hasta dos años más tarde cuando regrabo la canción y relanzándola con el nombre de “On The Beach ‘88” donde logra el éxito mundial. Cabe mencionar que dicha canción la compuso en la isla de Formentera. La otra canción “Josephine” habla de su hija y la remezcla “LA Version Francaise” se convirtió en un clásico del sonido Balear, sonando en toda la isla de Ibiza desde que se editó. Illusion poco se sabe sobre este proyecto, salvo que fue creado por Eddie De Gucht, el mismo que se encontraba detrás de “Disco Connection” quienes lograron un gran éxito en 1982 con “Rock You Baby”. “Why Can't We Live Together” es su único single y la canción fue compuesta e interpretada por Timmy Thomas en 1972 convirtiéndose en gran éxito en las listas. Basia (Basia Trzetrzelewska) de origen Polaco fue parte del grupo Matt Bianco pero en medio del éxito de su primer disco decide abandonar y lanzar su carrera como solista, de sonido similar al de Sade, coquetando con el Jazz y el Soul logro gran éxito en las listas de USA. Su mayor hit “Cruising The Bruising” fue publicado en 1990 Bryan Ferry Cantante de Roxy Music y solista con decena de singles de éxito. En 1985 publica uno de sus discos más populares y aclamado por la crítica “Boys & Girls” del que se lanzan varios singles, entre ellos se encuentra “Don't Stop The Dance” Mandy Smith cantante y modelo, fue fichada por el trio Stock, Aitken & Waterman y en 1987 publicó su primer single"I Just Can't Wait" el que no deslumbro en los charts europeos, pero una de sus remezclas "The Cool and Breezy Jazz Mix" fue un gran éxito en Ibiza por su sonido Balear y fue bien recibida por la crítica musical, mencionándola como una de las mejores composiciones del trio. Electra proyecto electrónico formado por Paul Oakenfold, Steve Osborne, Nick Divaris y Johny Rocca. Luego de aquel famoso viaje a Ibiza para celebrar el cumpleaños de Oakenfold, todos quedaron alucinados con la música que se pinchaba en la isla, sobre todo con Alfredo en el Amnesia. De hecho la versión original de la canción Jibaro era una de las más sonadas en la isla, compuesta por Elkin & Nelson, dúo colombiano radicado en España que durante la década de los 70s publicaron un par de discos donde fusionaban ritmos latinos con Funk y Rock. En 1985 publica uno de sus discos más populares y aclamado por la crítica “Boys & Girls” del que se lanzan varios singles, entre ellos se encuentra “Don’t Stop The Dance” Mandy Smith cantante y modelo, fue fichada por el trio Stock, Aitken & Waterman y en 1987 publicó su primer single"I Just Can't Wait" el que no deslumbro en los charts europeos, pero una de sus remezclas "The Cool and Breezy Jazz Mix" fue un gran éxito en Ibiza por su sonido Balear y fue bien recibida por la crítica musical, mencionándola como una de las mejores composiciones del trio. Electra proyecto electrónico formado por Paul Oakenfold, Steve Osborne, Nick Divaris y Johny Rocca. Luego de aquel famoso viaje a Ibiza para celebrar el cumpleaños de Oakenfold, todos quedaron alucinados con la música que se pinchaba en la isla, sobre todo con Alfredo en el Amnesia. De hecho la versión original de la canción Jibaro era una de las más sonadas en la isla, compuesta por Elkin & Nelson, dúo colombiano radicado en España que durante la década de los 70s publicaron un par de discos donde fusionaban ritmos latinos con Funk y Rock. The Space Brothers on the Virtual Sessions presented by The DJ Sessions 4/6/22   About The Space Brothers -   The Space Brothers are one of Britain's most successful EDM acts, notching up thirteen top 40 hits in the UK alone. Ricky Simmonds and Stephen Jones have also been the driving force behind other major artists including Lustral, Chakra, Oxygen, The Realm, Essence, Force Majeure and Ascension. They have also released material on 10 different labels, including Jackpot, Hooj Choons and Paul Oakenfold's Perfecto Records.  Since they formed their first project - Chakra - they have released over 75 singles with independent and major labels including Armada, Virgin, Perfecto, Ministry Of Sound, Hooj Choons, East West, Ultra, Sony, Captivating Sounds, Xtravaganza and Warner Bros.
