"Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gains understanding, for her profit is better than silver, and her gain surpasses gold." - Proverbs 3:13-14Making wise financial decisions early in life can set the stage for long-term stability and generosity. But where should students and young professionals begin? Today, Bob Doll joins us to share practical financial advice to help young adults start their careers on the right foot.Bob Doll is the CEO and CIO of Crossmark Global Investments. He regularly contributes to Faith and Finance and other media outlets, such as Bloomberg TV, Fox Business, and CNBC. Building a Life of Faithful Stewardship from the StartFinances can feel overwhelming for students and young adults stepping into the world of work—budgets, debt, investing, generosity…where do you even begin? Yet these early years are some of the most formative when it comes to your long-term financial health and spiritual growth. That's why it's critical to lay a foundation not just of financial literacy but of biblical stewardship. Here are some timeless pieces of practical wisdom for young adults who want to honor God with their money from the beginning.1. Begin With a Plan—And a BudgetWithout a clear plan for spending, saving, and giving, it's easy to drift into debt or financial anxiety. A solid budget helps you take control of your finances before they start controlling you.And you don't have to do it alone. Tools like the FaithFi app make creating an intentional, faith-filled budget easy. It's not just about numbers—it's about aligning your finances with your values.2. Save for Emergencies—And Stay Out of DebtAfter budgeting, build an emergency fund with three to six months of expenses. Life is unpredictable, and this cushion can keep you from turning to debt when the unexpected hits. Also, make sure to pay off your cards in full each month and chip away at any student loans as quickly as you can.3. Learn from Others—and Find a MentorThere's no substitute for wise counsel. Watch those who are succeeding with money—and those who aren't. Learn from both.Having a mentor or a financial advisor who shares your values is essential. Surrounding yourself with godly counsel can help you avoid pitfalls like overspending or failing to save.4. Give Generously—Even When It's HardStart giving now. Like Randy Alcorn says, “God prospers us not to raise our standard of living, but our standard of giving.” Even when budgets are tight, generosity opens your heart and reminds you that God is the true provider.5. Start Investing Early—and ConsistentlyCompound interest is a powerful force—either for or against you. The earlier you start investing, the more time your money has to grow. Even small, consistent contributions—what financial experts call “dollar-cost averaging”—can make a huge impact over time.Start with low-cost index funds or retirement accounts like a Roth IRA. And don't overlook your workplace benefits. If your employer offers a match, take it. That's free money.6. Align Your Investments with Your FaithToday's investors have more opportunities than ever to make faith-based investment choices. As the movement toward values-based investing grows, believers can increasingly steward their portfolios in ways that reflect biblical principles.7. Embrace Rhythms and Celebrate MilestonesThe journey to financial stability can feel long, especially when progress is slow. That's why we suggest setting milestones and celebrating small wins. God wants us to enjoy things. We're not meant to live like monks but are called to be wise. These rhythms of budgeting, saving, investing, and giving aren't just habits—they're acts of worship.8. Talk About Money—Especially in MarriageMoney fights are one of the top reasons for marital conflict. Get on your knees in prayer and ask the Lord to guide you both. Set goals as a couple and revisit them often.Being on the same page financially brings unity and builds trust. It's also a way of inviting God into your relationship in a very practical, day-to-day way.9. Grow in Wisdom—And Keep LearningStaying in God's Word and learning from wise voices is crucial. Some books that we recommend to help you discern what the Bible really says about wealth and generosity are:Money, Possessions, and Eternity: A Comprehensive Guide to What the Bible Says about Financial Stewardship, Generosity, Materialism, Retirement, Financial Planning, Gambling, Debt, and More by Randy Alcorn The Treasure Principle: Unlocking the Secret of Joyful Giving by Randy AlcornStart StrongTo the student, recent graduate, or young couple just starting out: the best time to build wise financial habits is now. Begin with a plan. Learn from mentors. Avoid debt. Save for emergencies. Give generously. Invest consistently. Talk honestly. And let Scripture shape how you think about money. After all, financial wisdom isn't just about building wealth—it's about building a life that reflects the heart of God.On Today's Program, Rob Answers Listener Questions:I'm 70 years old and have $112,000 in my checking account. I'm about to retire and unsure what to do with this money. In today's episode of Backpacker Radio, presented by The Trek, brought to you by LMNT, we are joined by Austen McDaniel, known on trail as PI. If that name sounds familiar, it's because we've been reading it off at the end of every episode for years, as Austen is one of our Chuck Norris Award-winning Patreon supporters. But in addition to being a longtime patron, Austen is also one hell of a backpacker, having completed the Triple Crown in three consecutive years. He approached his first thru-hike as prepared as anyone we've ever talked to, hitting the Appalachian Trail with a six-pound base weight after years of fine-tuning his setup on various shakedown hikes. He walks us through how he's managed to shave additional ounces and grams off his pack, shares some fun ultralight hacks, and offers tips for making cold soaking suck less. Of course, we also dive deep into his three thru-hikes. Beyond hiking, Austen gives us a glimpse into his life as a professional tennis instructor, if he's seducing moms at the country club, and how he managed to squeeze in some disc golf in various trail towns during his CDT trek. We wrap the show with news of an massive new FKT on New Zealand's Te Araroa, a breakdown of just how much Irish heritage runs through our DNA, including some truly deranged family tree math from Chaunce, the triple crown of food combinations, and possibly the greatest limerick in the history of the written language. In this episode, Hazel delves into the concept of pound cost averaging (or dollar cost averaging) as a powerful investment strategy that allows individuals to take control of their finances. By consistently investing a fixed amount into a chosen investment vehicle, such as stocks or cryptocurrencies, on a regular schedule, investors can mitigate the impact of market volatility. KEY TAKEAWAYS Understanding Pound Cost Averaging: This investment strategy involves consistently investing a fixed amount of money into a particular asset at regular intervals, regardless of the asset's price fluctuations. This approach helps to mitigate the impact of market volatility. Automate Your Investments: Setting up automated payments into your chosen investment vehicle can simplify the process and ensure that you consistently invest without having to think about it each time. Long-Term Focus: It's important to adopt a long-term perspective when using this strategy. Regularly checking the performance of your investments should be done infrequently to avoid emotional decision-making based on short-term market movements. Building a Diverse Portfolio: Once comfortable with the process, investors can apply the same strategy to multiple investment vehicles, allowing for the creation of a diversified portfolio over time. BEST MOMENTS"The principle is very simple... it's just that you are now in control. You get to decide where you put your cash." "Pound Cost Averaging evens out the big swings, the big highs and lows that can come in the market." "By pound cost averaging, we made a 37.2% gain... in a year, especially because the market was going wobble, up and down." She and her husband built a successful, multi-million-pound property business, next to their own careers, but soon realised that true freedom doesn’t JUST come from being financially independent… Having meant so much to her family, it has been her passion ever since, to inspire, educate and empower others on their journeys towards this 'Holy Grail'. During one particular property mentoring session back in 2009, she had a powerful recognition of exactly how to facilitate this. Nicknamed now, The Wealth Whisperer, she has a unique way of getting to the crux of what is needed to help fulfil this quest. CONTACT METHODS WebsiteInstagram

Munaf Manji, SleepyJ and Steve Reider talk NFL Week 18 player props. The guys also preview Sunday Night Football. Quote Analysis with Key Details Mike Evans' Incentive Milestones (4:00) Munaf highlights Mike Evans needing 5 receptions and 85 receiving yards for $1 million incentives each. Steve Reider warns about the "tax" on these props, noting how public awareness inflates lines. Despite a favorable matchup, the market might not justify betting on Evans at an inflated 98-yard line. J.K. Dobbins' Incentives (5:43) Dobbins requires 58 rushing yards to unlock $150,000. Steve and Sleepy caution betting too late on such incentives, suggesting week 16-17 as better windows for opportunistic bets. Geno Smith and Corlin Sutton's Targets (7:08) Geno needs 185 passing yards and a Seahawks win for $2 million incentives. Sutton needs 82 yards for $500,000, which Steve finds appealing since the line reflects less of the "incentive tax." These props present balanced options for bettors. Player Statistics and Analysis Bo Nix Prop: Over 35.5 yards for the longest completion (8:50). Sleepy favors this, highlighting Kansas City's defensive lapses with backups, which increase the likelihood of explosive plays. Baker Mayfield Prop: Over 250.5 passing yards (11:45). Averaging 283 yards at home, Mayfield has exceeded this number in four consecutive games. This game has playoff implications, further supporting the over. Bucky Irving Prop: Over 84.5 rushing yards (15:19). Replacing Rashad White, Irving has been exceptional, exceeding 84.5 yards in four of the last six games. The Saints' third-worst rush defense strengthens this bet. Najee Harris Prop: Over 44.5 rushing yards (17:53). With Jalen Warren limited, Harris has a strong record against the Bengals, who allow 92 rushing yards per game. Amon-Ra St. Brown Prop: Over 75 yards (23:21). Facing Minnesota in a high-total game (57 points), St. Brown's target volume and historical success against the Vikings position him for another strong showing. Team Statistics and Insights Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings (37:19) This SNF clash holds stakes for the NFC North and the No. 1 seed. Detroit's offense has thrived, scoring 34+ points in four straight games, but its defense has faltered. Conversely, Minnesota's defense might be decisive. Teasing Minnesota (38:18) Steve and Sleepy recommend teasing Minnesota to +8.5, given the Lions' recent defensive struggles and the likelihood of a close, high-scoring game. Player Prop Best Bets Justin Jefferson Prop: Over 91.5 receiving yards (44:41). Jefferson averages an astounding 182 receiving yards per game in Detroit across four games. Munaf emphasizes his consistent target volume and historical dominance in pivotal games. Conclusion The episode is a comprehensive breakdown of NFL Week 18, blending analytical player prop insights with betting strategies. The importance of understanding market adjustments, player incentives, and team dynamics dominates discussions. For SNF, high scoring is expected, with Justin Jefferson poised for another standout performance. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome to a special DFS-only episode of Sharpen the Point with your host, Chris Tyndall. flying solo today. No betting insights this time—Chris is focusing on what he knows best: Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) strategy and player picks. We've been scoring big tournament wins. Over the last two weeks, he's been 20-maxing tournaments on DK, with 15 and 14 entries cashing—a high yield right now. Player pools have been tight and crisp. We're going to break down every game on the Week 9 college football main slate and highlight the best plays. Record Year to Date: 15 Wins, 18 Ties, 15 Losses Record is based on a player's value using points per dollar. A win is more than 4 times, a tie is 3-4 times, and a loss below 3 times. Example: Oronde Gadsden costs $3,500 and scores 26.8 points for a 7.66 value rating and a win. Quarterback Josh Hoover, TCU ($8,500) – With two high-scoring games in Tulane/North Texas and Texas Tech/TCU, focusing on these matchups is crucial. Each team is expected to score over thirty, setting the stage for Hoover, who leads a TCU offense struggling on the ground and therefore passing more than 60% of the time—a top-ten rate nationally. Texas Tech's pass defense remains vulnerable, giving up nearly 270 yards per game, as evidenced by last week's 274/5 performance against Sawyer Robertson. Hoover, combined with Savion Williams and Tahj Brooks, offers a great lineup core. Will Howard, Ohio State ($7,900) – Howard's last outing, a close road game against Oregon, showcased his playmaking. While Ohio State's title hopes are still alive, the team's path forward has narrowed. After the bye, an explosive performance is expected against a Nebraska team coming off a rough outing against Indiana. Ohio State may emphasize the pass here, especially if they want to minimize carries for Quinshon Judkins, who recently underwent hand surgery, and increase Trey'Veon Henderson's workload. Running Back Makhi Hughes, Tulane ($7,400) – Hughes was a no-brainer pick due to his role and the ideal matchup. Tulane's run-heavy offense (about two-thirds of plays) features Hughes as the main back, a trend head coach Jon Sumrall brought over from Troy. With North Texas's strong offense, Tulane's best strategy is ball control, leaning on Hughes to exploit a defense that gives up 175 rushing yards per game. Hughes has hit multiple touchdowns in three straight games, and he's a strong pick to repeat that with 100+ yards and touchdowns. Quintrevion Wisner, Texas ($4,800) – The Texas backfield has seen turnover, with CJ Baxter initially leading before injury, followed by Jaydon Blue, who fumbled his way down the depth chart. Wisner has now taken the lead, outperforming Blue in touches by 14 over the last two games. Vanderbilt's run defense has allowed backs to reach big numbers, with Nate Noel nearly hitting 200 yards. Texas should deliver scoring opportunities for Wisner, making him a great value in a Sarkisian-led offense. Wide Receiver Daniel Jackson, Minnesota ($4,500) – Wide receivers abound in this slate, making the right combo crucial for payouts. Jackson, a star last season for Minnesota with four 100+ yard games and eight touchdowns, continues to see nearly nine targets per game. Facing a Maryland defense ranked near last in passing yards allowed (288 per game), Jackson has a prime opportunity to break out and deliver a high-impact performance. DT Sheffield, North Texas ($7,000) – Sheffield caps the slate as a consistent performer in a North Texas offense that's among the fastest in the country, passing 60% of the time. Averaging 7 catches, 94 yards, and 1.5 touchdowns per game, Sheffield is priced attractively for his role. In cash games, Sheffield feels essential, but for tournaments, Tulane's ability to control the clock could keep Sheffield off the field, opening leverage options like Josh Kelly, Tez Johnson, or Ohio State's playmakers. The conventional recipe for maximizing model accuracy is to (1) train multiple models with various hyperparameters and (2) pick the individual model which performs best on a held-out validation set, discarding the remainder. In this paper, we revisit the second step of this procedure in the context of fine-tuning large pre-trained models, where fine-tuned models often appear to lie in a single low error basin. We show that averaging the weights of multiple models fine-tuned with different hyperparameter configurations often improves accuracy and robustness. Unlike a conventional ensemble, we may average many models without incurring any additional inference or memory costs -- we call the results"model soups."When fine-tuning large pre-trained models such as CLIP, ALIGN, and a ViT-G pre-trained on JFT, our soup recipe provides significant improvements over the best model in a hyperparameter sweep on ImageNet. The resulting ViT-G model, which attains 90.94% top-1 accuracy on ImageNet, achieved a new state of the art. Furthermore, we show that the model soup approach extends to multiple image classification and natural language processing tasks, improves out-of-distribution performance, and improves zero-shot performance on new downstream tasks. Finally, we analytically relate the performance similarity of weight-averaging and logit-ensembling to flatness of the loss and confidence of the predictions, and validate this relation empirically. On this week's Keepin' It Real, Cam has seen much more of the healthcare world these days than he would like. His advice: Stay well. ----- I've been given an up a close look at our health care system over the past several months. It's been, well, disappointing. And this comes after hearing a remarkable speaker discuss the importance of customer service on company culture. I made a reference several months ago to the pain I've had. It's finally been diagnosed as polymyalgia rhumatica, or PMR. It showed up around February first and has been a part of every day since. It's a sickness that can't be confirmed through tests. Once they rule out everything else, it's one of the ones that's left. I've dealt with some pain in my life. Cluster headaches. A blood clot in my lung. However, nothing day in and day out has been like this PMR pain. On a scale from one to ten it's regularly an 8 in the morning dipping to a four or five in the afternoon and back to an 8 the next morning. I need help getting my shirt on and off. I can barely brush my teeth. Right now, I'm on a steroid that masks the pain and I pray that the pain ends before the prescription runs out. Now, the heath care system. I've seen five different doctors to try to diagnose this. I'm guessing I've spent less than an hour total with all of them. Averaging, maybe, ten minutes each. They burst through the door, they ask a handful of questions, they order tests. It's quick. I've spent lots of time with nurses and assistants and in waiting rooms. But the doctors are hard to come by. One hospital wouldn't let me speak to a doctor who I heard might can help. “Unless you're a patient,” they said, “you can't speak to him.” “Well, I might become a patient if he thinks he can help. I've seen others of his specialty, but I hear he knows more. “Sorry,” they said. So, I wrote him a letter to get him to call me. I got a voice mail from the office supervisor – “you can't talk to him. Please call me back,” she said. And I tried, got an exhaustive phone tree, zero'd out and asked, “Can I leave a message for the supervisor?” “Sorry,” they said. “Her phone isn't hooked up to the system.” Over and over. Round and round. There were some phone trees that never allowed me to speak with anyone. If I weren't in pain already my experience with today's health care system was getting me there. Another – “before I can treat you further, I have to do some tests,” the doctor said. “Make an appointment on the way out.” “We don't make appointments,” the front desk said. Annoyed. Staring at her phone. “Someone will call you.” A day later, “Our next available appointment is in July.” “So, I have to live in level 8 pain from early April to July?” “Sorry. That's all I got. You want the appointment or not?” The culture of healthcare today is painful. Don't get sick, folks. Don't get sick. If your sickness doesn't kill you, finding the treatment just might. I'm Cam Marston and I'm just trying to keep it real.

Welcome back! In this episode, Jay Worth welcomes Robyn Schmitz to the show! Like so many of us, Robyn discovered a passion for the Green Industry almost accidentally. Her parents ran a flower shop, so she learned plant names and color palettes at a young age. While studying something else entirely in college, she began working for a garden center to make some money when the realization hit her; she was enjoying her work outdoors with plants FAR more than she wanted her chosen field. Upon realizing this, she changed her major to horticulture and never looked back. Today, Robyn leads High Prairie Outdoors, the company she founded. Averaging between seven and eight figures in revenue and with a team of almost 50 year-round employees, Robyn and High Prairie are forces to be reckoned with. In this episode, Robyn shares why identifying and staying in your niche is important, why knowing your financials is vital, and why valuing and developing your team is essential to success in the Green Industry. -----Visit the High Prairie Outdoors WebsiteFollow High Prairie Outdoors on InstagramFollow Robyn on LinkedIn

Locked On Tar Heels - Daily Podcast On North Carolina Tar Heels Football & Basketball
The end of North Carolina's basketball season comes with an opportunity to revisit preseason bold predictions. Some go well, others…not so much. Coach Bill Robinson correctly predicted that RJ Davis would be the ACC Player of the Year. Isaac Schade got it wrong that Harrison Ingram would record the third-ever Tar Heel triple-double. Would Armando Bacot average double-double for the third straight season? Would North Carolina have five players average double figures in scoring – Davis, Bacot, Ingram, Cormac Ryan, and….? How many teams would the ACC place in the 2024 NCAA Tournament? Locked On Tar Heels Discord: https://discord.gg/DGhGSEPP2d Follow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…
This is episode 157 - where Dick King and Ndongeni ka Xoki ride to out of Durban carrying a dispatch from besieged British commander, Captain Smith, surrounded by Boers, in real danger. On the 24th May 1842 King and ka Xoki snuck out of the Port Natal region heading to Grahamstown in the south. That was a thousand kilometre journey which was going to take 10 days. Averaging 100 kilometres a day on a horse was some feat. Ndongeni Ndongeni Ka Xoki had already given King his Zulu nickname -Mlamulankunzi which loosely translated means a peacemaker among bulls. This was regarded as a mark of respect and admiration and there's a lot to admire about King as well as Ka Xoki. They had agreed to take a dispatch to Lieutenant Governor Colonel Hare in Grahamstown for Captain Thomas Smith who'd been shamed by the Boers at the Battle of Congella which I covered last episode. King was young and adventurous, he was an elephant hunter and a trader and came to South Africa as an 1820 Settler at the age of six. He was a frontiersman and an excellent rider who could and did turn his hand to anything it seems. Ndongeni ka Xoki had worked for King for a few years by this time. There's also been a great deal of hooplah, disinformation and propaganda about King's ride. The popular view of Dick King over the decades has been moulded by the Durban public memorial - it is an equestrian statue on the Esplanade - now Margaret Mcadi Avenue. The main Dick King statue presents the sole figure of King as the heroic if exhausted rider, but there is a missing Ndongeni on his horse. Protestors who defaced the statue in 2015 of course had no idea about that, they were throwing paint at all colonial era artefacts - equal opportunity statue painters. It was midday on the 24th June when Boer lookouts spotted a schooner called the Conch rounding the Bluff and sailing into the bay. It was a trading ship not a war ship, so the boers relaxed. They shouldn't have, because the wily and wicked English had a surprise up their sleeves. Crouching below decks were 100 Grenadiers of the 27th Regiment under command of Captain Durnford, a few others were on deck but dressed in civilians clothes. Trickery and deceit — how very English.
I have made 3 major financial decisions in my life that stand above the rest. One was awful. One was safe. And the last was exciting. To me, these represent the kind of choices that go far beyond portfolios, and certainly have more value than money. Let me walk you through those choices, spanning 25 years of my life. Maybe they will help you with some financial decisions in the new year. I think that would be great. But it is not the purpose. Maybe it will look like a humble brag on my part and you won't like that. I can only state my intentions to help and hope for the best. But most hopefully, I pray this illustration, along with a fresh peek into the Garden of Eden, and the choices there, will help you categorize that options in front of you today. There are so many things that can draw your attention: some you need to say NO to. Some you need to keep going and make automatic. But a few... oh these Apples are the best of all. These deserve you to go all in on them and give them ongoing attention. Let's identify those things and get very excited what is coming. MDJ Script/ Top Stories for Jan 16th Publish Date: Jan 12th Commercial: Henssler :15 From the Henssler Financial Studio, Welcome to the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast. Today is Tuesday, January 16th and Happy 43rd Birthday to MLB future HOF Albert Pujols. *** 01.16.24 – BIRTHDAY – ALBERT PUJOLS*** I'm Dan Radcliffe and here are the stories Cobb is talking about, presented by Credit Union of Georgia. Elton John auctioning art from Atlanta home via Christie's starting Feb. 21 Education Department error could lower U.S. students' financial aid amounts Metro Atlanta will get up to 400 new electric vehicle charging ports All of this and more is coming up on the Marietta Daily Journal Podcast, and if you are looking for community news, we encourage you to listen and subscribe! BREAK: CU of GA STORY 1: Elton John auctioning art from Atlanta home via Christie's Elton John is set to auction part of his extensive art collection from his recently sold Atlanta home. The auction, beginning on February 21 at Christie's, is expected to generate at least $10 million. John, who recently retired from performing, sold his Buckhead condo last fall for $7,225,000. The items for auction include a custom Damien Hirst, an 18th-century costume by Sandy Powell, and silver leather boots with E and J embossed. The decision to sell is emotional for John, who, along with husband David Furnish, is culling the collection. The auctions will be held both live and online, showcasing different aspects of John's life and collection. A public exhibition in New York City will precede the auctions from February 9 to 21, featuring a pop-up gift shop with John's merchandise. STORY 2: Education Department error could lower U.S. students' financial aid amounts An error by the U.S. Education Department in calculating financial aid could result in lower subsidies for students. The mistake involves not updating a key part of its aid calculation index for inflation, which has risen approximately 20% since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. This affects the amount of a family's income that is "protected" in the adjusted gross income calculation, which determines a student's financial aid need. Unless this is corrected, families may appear to have more resources than they do, leading to less financial aid for students. The issue was first reported in late 2021 and the department is currently determining how to address it. STORY 3: Metro Atlanta will get up to 400 new electric vehicle charging ports The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) has received a $6.1 million federal grant to install 300 to 400 electric vehicle (EV) charging ports across 20 counties in metro Atlanta, particularly in areas where such infrastructure is currently limited. The move comes as part of efforts to prepare for the upcoming EV revolution and ensure equitable access to charging facilities. Charging at these new stations will be free. The grant is part of a wider $622.6 million fund allocated by the U.S. Department of Transportation under the bipartisan infrastructure law for nationwide charger installations. The first chargers under this program are expected to be operational in 12 to 18 months. We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Call 770.799.6810 for more info. We'll be right back Break: ESOG – GCPS STORY 4: Shipping containers will soon house struggling Atlantans A new affordable housing complex in downtown Atlanta, constructed from repurposed shipping containers, is nearing completion at 184 Forsyth Street. Donated by the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Department, these containers were initially used as patient overflow facilities during the COVID-19 surge in Macon. The 40-unit community, built in just 60 days at a cost of $125,000 per unit, aims to address homelessness and connect vulnerable populations with resources. Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens praised the project as an innovative solution for rapid-affordable housing. The Forsyth Street site will offer permanent housing and wrap-around services, with residents expected to move in next month. The mayor plans to expand similar shipping container communities across the city to combat homelessness. STORY 5: Estate of now-infamous Murdaugh family goes up for action The South Carolina estate of the notorious Murdaugh family, known as the Moselle Estate, is going up for auction with a minimum bid of $1.1 million. Alex Murdaugh, the former resident, was convicted of murdering his wife and son in 2021 and is currently appealing his sentence. The property has changed hands several times since the crime. Proceeds from the initial sale went toward legal fees, the surviving son, a local bank, and victims of a 2019 boat crash linked to the family. The estate, which features a mix of classic charm and modern amenities, includes a 5,300-square-foot home on 21 acres. The auction will take place on February 15. We'll be back in a moment. Break: DRAKE – INGLES 3 STORY 6: This half-eaten sandwich is up for sale for $1.3M on Facebook On Facebook Marketplace, a half-eaten sandwich is making waves with a staggering $1.3 million price tag. Listed as "new" by a cheeky seller from Leicester, England, the grilled sandwich, described as "very crispy," is up for sale because the vendor couldn't finish it. This quirky listing follows a trend of bizarre food items being sold on the platform, such as a man offering "the saddest lunch ever" – a baked potato drowning in baked beans, eaten off a glass microwave plate. The eccentricity of these listings has sparked amusement and commentary on social media. STORY 7: Michigan coronation is most-watched title game in four years The Michigan-Washington College Football Playoff National Championship game marked a four-year high in ratings and viewership. Averaging a 12.3 rating and 25.05 million viewers across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN Deportes, the game saw a 41% increase in ratings and a 45% increase in viewership compared to the previous year. Michigan's victory delivered the second-largest audience of the college football season and ranked fourth in viewership among all non-NFL sportscasts since 2018. The full College Football Playoff averaged 23.6 million viewers, up 15% from the previous year, and marked the highest average since the 2017-18 season. The entire 43-game bowl season averaged a 2.3 rating and 4.48 million viewers, showcasing a 5% increase in viewership over the previous year. Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert surpassed Ricky Williams as the franchise's single-season touchdown leader after scoring twice Sunday against the New York Jets. Mostert, 31, has scored at least two rushing touchdowns six times this season and ranks third in the NFL with 966 rushing yards. Averaging 4.9 yards per carry, Mostert thrives in Mike McDaniel's offensive scheme. The ninth-year running back seems determined to be the team's workhorse down the stretch and into the playoffs. Dr. Peterson's extensive catalog is available now on DailyWire+: https://utm.io/ueSXh Dr Jordan B Peterson and Dr. Richard Lindzen dive into the facts of climate change, the models used to predict it, the dismal state of academia, and the politicized world of “professional” science. Richard Lindzen is a dynamical meteorologist. He has contributed to the development of theories for the Hadley Circulation, hydrodynamic instability theory, internal gravity waves, atmospheric tides, and the quasi-biennial oscillation of the stratosphere. His current research is focused on climate sensitivity, the role of cirrus clouds in climate, and the determination of the tropics-to-pole temperature difference. He has attained multiple degrees from Harvard University, and won multiple awards in his field of study such as the Jule Charney award for “highly significant research in the atmospheric sciences”.
