La antorcha Por: Pastor Rolando Rodríguez Charlie Kirk fue un hombre que se mantuvo firme en la verdad, y el 10 de septiembre de 2025 sufrió un atentado por eso. El domingo pasado se realizó un memorial en su honor que fue visto por aproximadamente 100 millones de personas alrededor del mundo (que además fue un poderoso acto de evangelismo). Fue honrado en países como Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Australia, España, Japón, Corea, Francia, Polonia, Israel y Alemania. Pero surge una pregunta: ¿Por qué nos sacudió tanto lo que le sucedió? Porque fue un hombre que defendió la verdad de la Palabra. Porque era nuestro hermano en el Señor y dejó un legado tras de sí. Recordemos también a la pastora Kathy. ¿Cuántos la conocieron? Ella también fue una persona que dejó huellas profundas, dejó un legado: su pasión, obediencia y fe en Dios. Mateo 5:14-16: “Ustedes son la luz del mundo. Hay dos herramientas poderosas: tu testimonio personal y la Palabra de Dios (hablar con base bíblica). Juan 14:6: “Jesús le dijo: Yo soy el camino, y la verdad, y la vida; nadie viene al Padre, sino por mí.” Isaías 53:5-6. Hechos 4:12. No es la religión, no es un lugar. Solo en Jesús hay salvación y debemos predicarlo cada vez que podamos. Isaías 6:8: “Después oí la voz del Señor, que decía: ¿A quién enviaré, y quién irá por nosotros? Entonces respondí yo: Heme aquí, envíame a mí.” ¿Quién irá por Dios? ¿Quién responderá a Su llamado? La necesidad es grande, la oscuridad es profunda. Pero tenemos la luz, tenemos la respuesta. Contraste: Abraham y Lot La Biblia nos muestra, en Génesis 13:10-12, un contraste profundo entre dos hombres: Abraham y Lot. Lot alzó sus ojos, vio la llanura del Jordán —verde, fértil, atractiva— y decidió habitar allí. Guiado por lo que veía y sentía, extendió sus tiendas hasta Sodoma, sin imaginar que esa decisión lo llevaría a la ruina. En cambio, Abraham permaneció en Canaán. No era la tierra más fácil: montañosa, rocosa, sin abundante agua; le tocó cavar pozos para sobrevivir. Sin embargo, no peleó, no reclamó su derecho como tío ni guardó rencor. Abraham confió en Dios. ¡Qué contraste tan grande! Lot siguió sus emociones y terminó perdiéndolo todo: su esposa, su fortuna y hasta su dignidad. Abraham, en cambio, se dejó guiar por Dios y recibió bendición. Romanos 8:14 nos recuerda: “Porque todos los que son guiados por el Espíritu de Dios, estos son hijos de Dios.” La pregunta es: ¿qué me guía a mí? ¿Mis emociones, mi razonamiento, mis deseos… o el Espíritu Santo? En Génesis 14 vemos a Lot prisionero de guerra por estar viviendo en el lugar equivocado. Y aun después de ser rescatado por Abraham, ¡volvió a Sodoma! La Palabra dice en Proverbios 14:12: “Hay camino que al hombre le parece derecho; pero su fin es camino de muerte.” ¿Cuántas veces Dios nos ha mostrado que algo no está bien y aun así insistimos en quedarnos en el mismo camino? Abraham, por su parte, no abandonó a su sobrino. Lo rescató, lo defendió y lo ayudó sin cobrarle nada, sin reproches, solo con amor. Por esa actitud, Dios lo bendijo y Abraham respondió reconociendo a Dios con sus diezmos (Génesis 14:18-20). Líderes, aquí hay una lección: no estamos llamados a condenar ni a señalar, sino a amar, a restaurar y a guiar con el corazón de Cristo. En Génesis 15:5, Dios lleva a Abraham fuera y le dice: “Mira los cielos, cuenta las estrellas, si las puedes contar… así será tu descendencia.” Las estrellas eran una señal de que la promesa se cumpliría. Abraham lo creyó y le fue contado por justicia. La pregunta es: ¿crees tú lo que Dios te ha prometido? Daniel 12:3 añade: “Los entendidos resplandecerán como el resplandor del firmamento; y los que enseñan la justicia a la multitud, como las estrellas a perpetua eternidad.” Las estrellas hoy representan a los hijos de Dios que iluminan este mundo con la luz de Cristo. ¿Estás brillando para Dios o te has convertido en un agujero negro que absorbe todo sin reflejar nada? No me alcanza Por: Pastor Rolando Rodríguez Jesús dedicó mucho tiempo a confrontar la falta de fe de sus discípulos, porque era algo esencial. Tener fe significa confiar en Dios incluso cuando todo parece imposible. ¿Somos personas de fe? La fe verdadera puede ser reconocida porque se expresa con acciones. No es solo algo interno o emocional; es visible, activa y produce frutos. Santiago 2:17-18. Una fe auténtica se demuestra con obras reales, a través de actos, declaraciones, confianza y descanso en Dios y con evidencia visible en la vida de la persona. Lucas 1:18-20: «Dijo Zacarías al ángel: ¿En qué conoceré esto? Porque yo soy viejo, y mi mujer es de edad avanzada. Respondiendo el ángel, le dijo: Yo soy Gabriel, que estoy delante de Dios; y he sido enviado a hablarte, y darte estas buenas nuevas. Y ahora quedarás mudo y no podrás hablar, hasta el día en que esto se haga, por cuanto no creíste mis palabras, las cuales se cumplirán a su tiempo.» Zacarías dudó incluso después de ver al ángel Gabriel, a pesar de estar en un lugar donde nadie más podía entrar y escuchar cosas que solo él y Dios sabían. Aun con todo eso, no creyó. La incredulidad fue su mayor obstáculo. La poca fe nos limita. Nos permite comenzar, pero no terminar. Es suficiente para entrar en el camino, pero no para recibir todo lo que Dios quiere darnos. No conquista ni recibe la plenitud de la bendición. Los cinco ingredientes de la poca fe: 1. El temor. Mateo 8:26. El temor nos detiene. Es sutil, pero si le damos lugar, nos paraliza. ¿A qué le tememos? 2. La duda. Mateo 14:31. Dudar es cuestionar si Dios realmente hará lo que ha dicho. ¿Será capaz? ¿Cómo sabré si Dios cumplirá? 3. Pensar en lo negativo. Mateo 16:8. A veces, nos enfocamos en lo que falta, en las circunstancias, en lo que no tenemos. 4. La baja autoestima. Lucas 12:28. Son esos pensamientos como: «No merezco», «No valgo nada», «No soy suficiente», que limitan nuestra fe. Creemos que la bendición es para otros y no para nosotros. 5. El pecado. Juan 9:1-3. El pecado puede ser un obstáculo para recibir los milagros de Dios, aunque no siempre es la causa directa del sufrimiento. Aun así, debe ser confrontado para abrir camino a la fe. Es este episodio especial conversamos con Rolando González-José sobre la institucionalidad de la Antropología Biológica (y de la ciencia) en distintos contextos, en especial en la América Latina del presente. Rolando González José es Investigador Principal del CONICET (Argentina) y Coordinador del Programa de Referencia y Biobanco Genómico de la Población Argentina. Se graduó de Biólogo en la Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia, y realizó su Doctorado en Biología Humana en la Universidad de Barcelona, España. Fue dos veces Vicedirector del Centro Nacional Patagónico, el mayor centro de investigación multidisciplinaria del CONICET en la Patagonia. También fue Director del Instituto Patagónico de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas. Fue presidente de la Asociación Argentina de Antropología Biológica entre 2009 y 2011, y Vicepresidente de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Antropología Biológica (entre 2013 y 2015). Presenta más de 120 publicaciones en distintas revistas científicas incluyendo Nature, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (USA), Nature Communications, Journal of Human Evolution, American Journal of Human Biology, PLoS Genetics, entre otras. En el año 2004 fundó el Grupo de Investigación en Biología Humana, integrado por 15 profesionales entre los que se cuentan antropólogos, genetistas, nutricionistas, biólogos, médicos e informáticos. Sus intereses de investigación giran en torno a la genética de poblaciones, la evolución de la variación craneofacial eh homínidos, el poblamiento Americano, las poblaciones cosmopolitas de Latinoamérica y el desarrollo de dispositivos basados en tecnología de imagen para aplicaciones biomédicas.
