But he found out very quickly that friction is a consumer issue, not a merchant problem. The problem merchants want solved is fraud liability. Patricia Paay heeft de rechtszaak tegen GeenStijl gewonnen. Paay spande de rechtszaak aan nadat GeenStijl en Twitteraar Eendevanger vorige jaar een seksvideo van haar verspreiden. De rechter heeft nu geoordeeld dat Paay een schadevergoeding van 30.000 euro krijgt. Opvallend is dat GeenStijl niet de video zélf op het internet publiceerde, maar wel een link. De rechter oordeelde dat dit hetzelfde effect heeft als het zelf online publiceren van de video. Benieuwd wat Elsevier journalist Nikki Sterkenburg en columniste Catherine Keyl ervan vinden?
