EPISODE 233 WIT' THE BEAUTIFUL AND TALENTED ARIKA KANE on JERRY ROYCE LIVE! (WORLDWIDE)www.arikakane.com (LP also sold at amazon.com and itunes.com) Music is the bedrock of my existence. – Arika Kane--The secret to Arika Kane's success lies in her individuality, passion and uniqueness. She sings what she feels from her heart and soul and it stands strong in the integrity of her music. “Substance” is how she describes it.Arika Kane, a Connecticut native, sailed into the music industry in 2009 with her debut single “Bcuz I Luv U,” garnering mainstream attention and a multitude of fans. Releasing her self-titled debut album in 2010, Arika quickly landed on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with the breakthrough, platinum-selling single “Here with Me.” The song's popularity earned it a placement on VH1′s “Love & Hip Hop” and a stronger fan base. Another popular tune “4 the Lovers” landed at #7 on Billboard Single Sales chart.Kane had over 20 features of her Music on VH1 Reality Shows & TV series between 2010-2012 and landing two theme Songs as her song “MAKE IT” is the theme song for Vh1′s Hollywood Exes, and also the spin off show Atlanta Exes'. “Here With Me” was a prominent feature that landed on NY's “Love and Hip Hop” Season 1 in an unforgettable love scene with reality star Somaya Reece and her X-boyfriend.Substance became Kane's 2nd Studio album “To me, substance means removing unnecessary distractions from everyday life and honing in on what's truly important and meaningful,” Arika says. “My music focuses on women in a positive light. It speaks to every age and culture because it relates to real human emotions, whether it be life, love or struggle,” she continues. “I want to connect with people with heartfelt and timeless songs they can relate to.” ” Waiting” off of Substance spent 20 weeks at # 1 on Amazon in Soul. “Bcuz Ur Lonely” climbed the amazon charts to #1 in Classic R&B for 8 weeks. “Let Go” & the entire Album Substance stood tall at the Top of the contemporary R& B Charts and the Album hitting #1 spot.“Bcuz Ur Lonely,” the lead single demonstrates Arika's ability to turn life's experiences into strong inspirational songs. Written by Arika, Louis Humphrey and Jasmon Joyner, the song goes straight to the core of relationships, asking are you just with me because you're lonely? “This is my favorite song on the album because it speaks about a woman's intuition,” Arika chuckles. Another single, “Waiting,” is a classic soul ballad about waiting for lost love to return. It easily picks up where her 2010 hit “Here With Me” left off.The daughter of talented musicians, Arika was exposed to the music business at an early age. Both parents held full-time jobs to support the family while performing on the weekends. Arika quickly developed a passion for music and began singing at 10-years-old. She credits her family as the driving force behind her decision to pursue music. “My parents taught me the joy of music from an early age,” she explains. “Without their encouragement and support, I wouldn't be where I am today.”Arika Kane's brand new masterpiece “Thru The Veil” has just released on October 24th 2014 and is available Now on Amazon and ITunes. As Arika's 3rd Studio Album she is taking no prisoners and it is extremely clear in her lyrics and her conviction. Her 1st Single from this masterpiece “Its there” featuring Brian McKnight has taken off and is now charting Internationally for 8 weeks now reaching #1 on the TOP 40 charts in 33 Countries as her 2nd Single from Thru the Veil, ” Throw It all Away ” is swiftly climbing up the charts and is sitting right now at #11 on the Top 40 Charts.I am proud of the message my music delivers. I am determined to go against the grain of today's industry and create songs that people will remember for a lifetime. Music is the bedrock of my existence. Music with meaning, music with Substance and I am obligated to make sure that happens. My goal as an artist is to create the art of freedom & expression that the world can relate too in an authentic way and to also bring ” soul ” back into mainstream music.– Arika Kane
