From the known and unknown past… inspired by a movie or two, this is Spacemusic in a very cinematic style. Not only music can bring back memories, this show proves the power of visuals as well. Even this film poster, even a title, it all makes sense in the end: we’re only human and we need this stuff to survive our very own thoughts. Wanna see this movie again? February 2011 so that means…. the 6 Year mark! The first Spacemusic podcast ever was published back in 2005 on feb 26th. Are you busy? Are you in a hurry? Fine. But take your moments of rest from time to time. Human beings need to recharge on a regular basis, it’s that simple! Maintain energy and avoid burnout effects; here’s a couple of tips to do it better, we think. 1] develop a positive attitude, even if you don’t want to do something, find a way to reframe the circumstances, do not judge everything around you all day, stay focussed. 2] listen to uplifting and refreshing music, listening to Spacemusic is proven to be very helpful to decompress from daily activities. 3] Avoid caffeine and drink more water, water keeps your energy level more balanced, you will avoid a serious energy drain that comes from a caffeine crash. 4] get recovery time, take breaks during the day, put them in your schedule. 5] get sufficient sleep, if you need to take a power nap, take one; exhaustion will always be on the horizon if you don’t get adequate sleep. It all sounds simple right? But how many people actually practice these steps, really? Welcome to Spacemusic land, here you can think about it while listening to the best relaxing music on this globe and beyond. Being a fan of Underworld for at least 20 years now, we proudly present the new release “Barking” on our show! Soon after we noticed this new album we ran to our local store an bought it. Of course we did some pre-listening to the iTunes Store 30-second snippets before doing so…The album is good! Past, present and future come together during this 9 track story; Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have been in music production for 30 years, they know how to entertain us. And please, have a good listen yourself before judging. We have read reviews out there, some of them really good, unfortunately a bunch of reviews being completely untrue and not understanding the vibes that Underworld is so very keen on. The most funny review we found is posted by The Telegraph and it says: “There are a couple of vintage Underworld tracks but the album ends disappointingly with Louisiana, which is guaranteed to clear the dance floor”. We think that The Telegraph simply don’t get the story right here. The album “Barking” is not only about dance. And that’s a good thing! It’s not only about uplifting tracks, we can hear a story about the old, the new and what might be expected. The truth is, we are happy that Underworld is not doing the uptempo thing the entire album. There’s other ways to go there and to fill the ‘dance floor’all night long! I like the Dutch review at dance.nl much better, saying “Ja, Underworld klinkt zeker nieuw; van rauwe techno tot meeslepende trance en ambient, en tegelijk meer pop dan je ze in tijden hebt gehoord. Geweldige plaat.” In plain English that is: “Underworld sounds new; rough Techno to Trance and Ambient and more Pop than ever, great record”. After we bought ourselves the original digi-pack in the local record store in Rotterdam (PLATO) being the one including the DVD video clips, we decided to contact OM-Records in the US. Big thanks to James @ OM-Records for his enthousiasm and understanding. And yes… we’ve got official permission to play some pieces of the “Barking” way of life. The release with many collaborations, just to name a few: Paul van Dijk, Mark Knight and D. Ramirez. We’re pretty sure our audience will like the taste of it. Tune in to the Spacemusic podcast upcoming saturday september 25th 2010 for a party episode with Underworld! ~TC
Lukas Termena is a producer from Poland. His project is kept in a stream of smooth chillout and ambient. 2005 where the year of his first steps in chillout and he found his passion in it. The first promo album "Dream" came out a year later and was supported by "Radio Horyzont", "Radio Bawelna", "Spacemusic" and many more. After some time he released a new single - "Lonely Girl" - recorded with vocalist Cassi Luv and a month later next complimentary album "2000 Miles to Heaven" published by a Canadian recording studio Falling Records. The album "2000 Miles to Heaven" is a compilation of the most interesting tracks composed up to now by Lukas Termena. His music can be listened in such broadcasts like Beatiful Voices, Shanning Sleep, Chillout Sundays, Spacemusic Podcast, Leniwe Dzwieki. Nowadays Lukas is binded with a talented vocalist Angelika Borof. There are plans of a common album which will be released ...../... nbsp; The new material, as he says, will be extremely different than his earlier chillout productions. (source: Lukas nbsp;Termena Myspace site) We can't wait Lukas! Our Jukebox plays this fantastic remix of 'New Divide' performed by Linkin Park. Lukas knows how to use technology and define a perfect wide sounding atmosphere, creating a complete new song from the original track. This remix is another fantastic production and way ahead of any other remixer quality out there... Smooth and thoughtful are just two ingredients of the Lukas Termena trademark: once heard, never to be forgotten. Go listen and post comments please. Cheers! From Rotterdam: this is the last Spacemusic Podcast for the time being. Tune-in everybody, download as much as you can! Artists like Ascian, Recue, Navarro, S.G. Schubert, Ysa Ferrer.... Quality ambient. great soundtracks and thrilling spacemusic during this extra long episode, especially made for this occasion.Big thanks to:Databloem Records: Dennis Knopper and Anthony Paul KerbyDigitally Imported Radio: James Colin (this show will be broadcast via the DI.fm ambient-channel on Monday, June 19th 20:00 CET)Tnx all Listeners for support/ downloading/ donating and believing in the Spacemusic Podcast, your comments, e-mails, hours and hours of listening...I've been producing this show for 15 months now. Hours of listening to electronic music, downloading, searching for the right stuff to put on my show. Very tough sometimes. Tough because of my definition of ' spacemusic' . I only podcast music when the music moves me. Moving music in such a way that I really remember the song after hearing it only once... That makes the music folder complete with all good tunes inside of it. However, Spacemusic Podcasts consists of more than that -a flow-. A Story. A chance to tell people what i want to share with them: feelings/events/thoughts that are being reflected by those hi-quality tunes. The best results? 'Lucid Dreams' , 'Around the World in 33 minutes...' , 'Honour the Victims...' , 'VERGI Hotel' , 'Motion of the Stars series', 'Like a Prayer' , 'Happy New Music Year' , 'Farmerland' and today's show. The soundseeing tours are definately one of my favourites, though not every listener appreciates all the talking while great music is in the background! Anyway, I hope the overall content of 60 shows has been an interesting adventure for the public and people will remember the unique ambiance of the Spacemusic Podcast. I know it helps lots of listeners to relax and decompress from stress and daily hurries and that's great to hear! Creativity survives and will result in another project this year so my guess is... it's worth to stay tuned. Thanks! *TC*
