Here it is! The next entry in our summer of reclaimed time! The anticipated (dreaded? feared? hated?) Time Chasers episodes. There's not much to say about this one, folks. CASTLETON!Host segments: the science of re-recording; physics of shooting planes; Jeff can get you a cheese plant job; a history of Madeira; THIS dude?; Lisa's dark history; MiMi's ChinFacts TM; recasting for 1991 made-for-TV spectacular.
David Giancola is an independent film director who got his start with the movie Time Chasers, a flick that found its first home in the niche VHS bin and then its second in Season 8 of MST3K. He operates out of Edgewood Studios and continues to put out exciting projects to this day. In this episode of Hungry Trilobyte, David and I talk about the life of Time Chasers both before and after MST3K, the different eras of indie film, and how old-fashioned movie fans can find what they're looking for in this day and age. — See Show Notes at www.AaronBossig.com Follow me on Twitter - @AaronBossig Podcast logo and graphics by Marcie London www.MarcieLondon.com - @MarcieLondonArt
The gremlins have struck again. First, there was no Joe and Devori audio for Fu Manchu. Now - there was audio, but nothing actually recorded for Time Chasers. Since we are hell-bent on giving you content every two weeks, here's a minisode featuring some of the best of MiMi and Jeff and Time Chasers v. 1.0. We will re-record a full Time Chasers episode in the next few weeks (look out for The Time Travelers on 6/15), but we wanted to give you these little moments that likely wouldn't be repeated on a re-record. Also, please send your best wishes to the Kimbro's computer - which seems to be infested with gremlins.
There's just so much news to talk about! Enough to lure Allison back on for another episode during what is increasingly inaccurately being called a "hiatus", even! We break down the newly released trailer for the upcoming special, "Revolution Of The Daleks", and for some reason the newly revealed guest cast launches Alasdair on tangents about Law & Order: UK and the Mystery Science Theater 3000 entry Time Chasers. (Surprising amount of Law & Order: UK talk in this episode, honestly.) Then we get into some casting news about the upcoming series, followed by a general meditation on Jodie Whittaker's future on the show and what she might do after Doctor Who. And remember, we have a live show on December 12 at 6:30 Eastern/5:30 Central -- go to www.crowdcast.io/e/ddw-live to register!
Never in a million years would Jason and Mary think an actual famous filmmaker would make an appearance on their show but here we are! Special Guest David Giancola, the writer and director of Time Chasers, Illegal Aliens, and his newest movie Axcellerator joins them for a discussion on making Time Chasers, the process of getting the movie on Mystery Science Theater 3000, and dishes out some unknown secrets about top tier celebrities! It's scandalous!
Ryan, Mike, and Shane return, and we cover a lot of content. Ranging from men's grooming strategies, news about Scream 5 and the next Evil Dead film, to remembering two film greats director Joel Schumacher and actor Ian Holm. We hit a lot of films including Flatliners, Falling Down, 8MM, Batman and Robin, Alien, Time Chasers and much more. Meet Bob Evil! The History and Legacy of “Mystery Science Theater 3000”, Chapter 12: Sci-Fi Odyssey! The end of Season 8 grows clearer with a time-travel adventure called "Time Chasers". But what about the trilogy it stole wholesale from? Fear not, that's here too. It's my favorite episode of the podcast proper thus far, not just because the "Back to the Future" Trilogy is so close to my heart (as is The Ride, but we'll get to that), but everything clicks this week. Focused, informative, actually funny for once. This episode has got it all. Alice Damon Kinzie & Bill Kinzie "Bike Chase" Time Chasers: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Burger Records (2019) THE YEAR IS 1994... a low-budget sci-fi film called TIME CHASERS is released by Rutland, Vermont's Edgewood Studios. 3 years later the movie is riffed by Mystery Science Theater 3000 and seen by a young, impressionable Sean of #BurgerRecords. Fast forward 22 years and 1,000+ viewings of the MST3K episode and Sean buys a Castleton t-shirt online (like Nick Miller wears in the movie). Sean gets wrong size shirt. Sean sad :-( Director David Giancola responds personally and gets Sean the right size. Sean happy :-) Sean then asks David if he would be interested in releasing the Time Chasers soundtrack on Burger. David says yes. Sean's dream comes true and here we are with the limited edition pressing of TIME CHASERS original motion picture soundtrack OUT TODAY on

We didn't watch Time Chasers this week. Gonna watch it next week. This week Dustin is in a mood and rants about lots of things that don't much matter. Tommy went to a karaoke bar with his folks and had a pretty good time. They also talk about George RR Martin, Stephen King, and The Expendables. Dustin watched Sicario and gives us his opinion, kind of. He can't really focus on much. Next week we are watching MST3k's Time Chasers and you can too right here. Grab your flux capacitor, and your love beads, because on this psychedelic installment of Sabrina’s Witch Trials, Alex is joined by noted child of the 80s, Fil Araujo, to analyze what happens when Salem Saberhagen’s sardine scented sleepy time snack sends the Spellman’s to the sixties, its “Inna Gadda Sabrina”! Will Sabrina be able to regain her magical Time Ball from Salem, and send Westbridge back to the 90s? Will Hilda and Zelda put down the bong long enough to look for it? Will our resident teen witch be able to deal with her discovery that sexism was a thing in the 60s? (WAS?!) Answers to these questions, as well as a review of the other TGIF episodes in the TIME CHASERS storyline, lie ahead on this righteous edition of Sabrina’s Witch Trials!Remember, you can always follow Sabrina’s Witch Trials on...Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/SabrinasWitchTrials Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/SabrinasWitchTrials/ Twitter – https://twitter.com/SabrinaPodcastListen, like, and subscribe to Sabrina’s Witch Trials on...iTunes - https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/sabrinas-witch-trials/id1127622286?mt=2 Stitcher - https://www.stitcher.com/podcast/alex-araujo-2/sabrinas-witch-trialsSoundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/sabrinaswitchtrialsYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm9qMrm0ySgJCf54qRGcT9wIf you cannot see the audio controls, listen/download the audio file here
It's time for Time Chasers! This film is maybe the worst thing ever to be on the Horrible Movie Podcast! Shane Kennard - professional soccer ref - joins Jack and Producer Phil on this great episode about an amateur inventor who goes through time with his female accomplice to stop an evil mega-corporation intent on changing history for profit.
After catching a ride with a racist humanitarian cab driver, the...you know what? There's nothing that can be said to follow that. Enjoy the second part of ICFTB's Time Chasers!
The ICFTB crew take flight on a plane that travels through time...thanks to the power of ancient 80's technology! The past, the future, this movie has all the answers...and even more questions. Tune in for the second part, next week!
Episode 11 – David Giancola. Special two hour RiffTrax/Time Chasers Omnibus Special. In honor of the May 5 Rifftrax show, we interview Director David Giancola, who’s first movie “Time Chasers” is being riffed in a live Fathom Event tonight by Rifftrax. Greg, Ryan and Blake discuss Joel Hodgson’s “new” secret/un-secret “Mystery Bot;” the Mystery Science Theater cast reunion in Minneapolis, and “RenFest,” a comedy series starring Mary Jo Pehl, Trace Belieau and Dave “Gruber” Allen. In the “Feedback Loop” segment, the Podcast Gang lets fans say what Mystery Science Theater means to them. Lots of geeky discussion of “Captain America: Civil War” and Cap Himself, Chris Evans. In “Cheesy Movies We’d Like to See Riffed,” Howard the Duck rears his ugly beak. Greg and Ryan fiend over Cock & Bull Ginger Beer in the “Mini Soda Review,” but Blake is not so sure. And in “Reviewers in the MSTie,” James contemplates Donald Pleasence’s melted face by reviewing “Warrior of the Lost World.” (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). An interview with Internet archeologists Ami Goff and Blake Williams, who are archiving the ephemera of 1990s “Mystery Science Theater 3000” online fan culture, one obscure GeoCities page and ranting butthurt Bulletin Board at a time. With the wrap up of the highly successful Rifftrax Kickstarter, the Podcast Gang discusses its participation in June’s MST3K Reunion. And in their “Mini Soda Review,” Blake Sanchez, Ryan and Greg taste a delicious little slice of the tropics with Hawaiian Sun Liliko’i Passion Fruit. But with Ryan’s dissenting opinion, will there be Trouble In Paradise? In the “Reviewers in the MSTie” segment, James flies high with the low budget 1980s sci-fi movie, “Time Chasers.” (This podcast does not represent Alternaversal, Shout Factory or the Kickstarter campaign in any official capacity). In this episode, we talk about time travel movies!! Happy Back to the Future Day!!!!!!!! Here are the films: Back to the Future (1985) Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) Time Chasers (1994)
"This film proves that you don't need a $100 million dollar budget if you have imagination and a good story!" The year is 1991... College professor Nick Miller has done it! He's become the world's first time traveller! And he managed to accomplish this breakthrough with just a modest computer and a Cessna ... but more importantly with a whole lot of ingenuity. Soon Nick sells his invention to a local company, however, all is not well for long. Mismanagement and corporate greed leads to a dystopian future that Nick must strive to correct while trying to dodge the forces of evil and save the love of his life. Time Chasers (AKA Tangents) is a great example of how a lot of courage and determination can get a movie made despite the lack of a lot resources. It was popularized on the TV show MST3K in the late 90's but despite being fodder for the crew of the Satellite of Love it still stands today as a success and a long lived cult hit. One of the Soulless Minions, Josh, goes solo on this commentary for a fond look back and this time travel adventure that makes the most of its low budget.
