Theological Discourse on AI Faith Debate: Sunday, August 16th, 2026 (08/23/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) "Artificial Intelligence" has real consequences; should Christians build it, boycott it, or redeem it? A.I. is no longer a science fiction premise; it's sadly writing sermons, answering theological questions, and shaping the worldview of millions. In light of these realities, is the church largely having the wrong conversations about it? Some Christians marvel at the possibilities, while others sound an apocalyptic alarm. The Faith Debate now helps ask and answer the question that matters most: What is our responsibility before God in this moment? This episode is part one of a five-part conversation (piggybacking on a two-part AI discussion from earlier in the year). To hear the five parts in uninterrupted fashion, go to the Christian Podcast Community and find the Theology Throwdown show dated April 11th, 2026. The Faith Debate podcasts can be found at wfmd.com, ChristianPodcastCommunity.org, and most podcast platforms - including SermonAudio and Odysee. (Videos are made available in many of these same places, as well on Rumble). Find links for all of these outlets at www.householdoffaithinchrist.com. The panel: Troy Skinner. Every Shot Has a Story Faith Debate: Sunday, July 26th, 2026 (08/02/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) American kids receive more than 72 vaccine doses, including 37 doses by 18 months old. No other nation in the world follows a schedule this large or fast. Most parents haven't been told why the shots were added, what problems they were created to solve, or how they continue to influence health today. A book by Valerie Ferrell & Leah Wilson breaks open the history behind the entire childhood vaccine program. "The Vaccine Decision: Every Shot Has a Story" provides details (vaccine-by-vaccine & illness-by-illness) explaining when each shot was invented, what justification brought it onto the schedule, & why it remains there. The result is a clear, deeply researched narrative that helps parents understand not just the "what," but the "why." This edition of The Faith Debate features a part of Mrs. Ferrell's 90-minute presentation at Elk Neck Baptist Church in Cecil County, MD on March 24, 2026 – during which she outlines items that help folks navigate the medical morass as a biblically committed Christian. The Israel Question Faith Debate: June 28th, 2026 (07/05/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) There seems to be quite a bit of controversy on the topic of Israel historically and presently – and, of course, conversation of what their future is – not only in the body of Christ, but in the world today. Consider the Scriptures of Romans chapters 9 through 11, among others, including John 4:22 which says, "Ye worship ye know not what; we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews"? That's a lot to cover and chew on. Has this been on your mind lately? If so, then this edition of The Faith Debate is for you. This is part two of a three-part panel discussion. It's a good conversation, aiming to benefit you (and all listeners) by letting everyone hear an irenic attitude in a polemic world. The Jew Question Faith Debate: June 21st, 2026 (06/28/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) With much recent controversy on the topic of Israel historically, presently, and in the future - what are Christians to make of passages such as John 4:22, Romans 9-11, and others? This certainly gave the panelists plenty to chew on in this reasoned and measured long-form conversation. This is ground that cannot possibly be covered adequately is a mere half-hour, so The Faith Debate is presenting the topic in a three-part series. This is part one, "The Jew Question". The Philosophy of Place Faith Debate: Sunday, June 14th, 2026 (06/21/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) Jon Harris is a lightning rod for commentary on church/politics/culture – emphasizing paleo-conservatism & localism. (But it's when discussing things overtly in the context of the gospel that he's at his best). He joins the show to talk with Troy & his wife. This episode doesn't focus on political theory, nor practical sociological strategy, nor aim to explain "How our nation gets there from here". Future episodes can debate questions of "empire", "Caesarian figures", the prospect of a present-day "Franco" (or other so-called "necessary evils"). It could be fun to go back-and-forth in defining "worldview", "ideology", "-isms", & the nuances involved in considering the "order of affections" – but we also don't do that in this episode. (Each of these would take a series of shows all their own- in fact, Jon's dedicated countless episodes of his podcast to these things, and so has The Faith Debate during its 22-year history). To categorize/label the show within the correct file of your brain, think in terms of us broadly tackling the questions of Christ & culture, and applying big themes in a niche way – drilling down on the philosophy & power of "place". "Christ and culture" questions have been asked/answered in various ways for generations. Should the church act in terms of Christ being against/of/above/in paradox with/or transformer of - culture? (With "place" as an aspect of culture). The Panelists: Troy Skinner. Founder, Household of Faith in Christ Dina Carole. "The Voice of Frederick" Jon Harris. The Power of Place Faith Debate: Sunday, June 7th, 2026 (06/14/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) Jon Harris is an author ("Social Justice Goes to Church", "Against the Waves", etc.) and documentary producer (Last Stand Studios) on issues of evangelicalism, Americana, and culture wars. He's a columnist active on Substack & TruthScripit (which he co-founded), as well as a singer/songwriter. He's best known as host of "Conversations That Matter", first gaining notoriety for exposing the Social Justice Leftism infecting the Southern Baptist Convention & its seminaries (with clarity in defending the biblical gospel). Dina Carole has been a media fixture for decades. Listeners might recognize her from her decades-long career in radio & TV up and down the eastern US (from New York to Florida), including her long tenure as "The Voice of Frederick" (having been a fixture on Maryland radio for years). This panel has been assembled for a discussion on the very real importance of physical "place". When Troy and Dina moved to a new house, they left behind their home of a quarter century. The move was tough because to Troy the residence represented stability, security, and emotional safety. For Dina the impact of the move hit her differently, as she tends to look at people moving through different seasons of life. Therefore, she doesn't cling to things as a general rule. But some might wonder if this is a defense mechanism as they see her more easily moving on. The panel: Troy Skinner. Founder, Household of Faith in Christ Dina Carole. Is AI Holy? Faith Debate: Sunday, May 31st, 2026 (06/07/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) The history of early Fundamentalist history might be a warning against Christians avoiding the use of "Artificial Intelligence", so as to avoid repeating the strategic errors of the years between WWI and WWII. 100 years ago significant sectors of conservative Christianity responded to cultural and intellectual shifts by withdrawing from academia, media, and institutions - which ceded enormous cultural influence for generations. How does the church preserve orthodoxy, without marginalizing the true faith, while still remaining involved in the formation of cultural institutions? This edition of The Faith Debate is part two of a two-part discussion, as the show continues to peel back the layers of concern (and the layers of potential) with regard to the use of new technological tools.
