It's a podcast about life
What more could you ask for? We have two Trent Knox episodes in a row. This man and I always sit down with a game plan and before you know it, that game plan quickly gets tossed out the window. In our previous episode we discussed personal relationships. How we each get our social juices flowing in order to go out into the world and build community, romance, and connection. In this episode, we discuss a more professional side of things. We take our experiences working together and shed light on the possible professional journeys we will embark on in 2023. We also take a dive into the entertainment side of things and how the media we consume shapes how we ultimately interact with the world around us. As a species that consumes, we are constantly being delivered different messages and ideas. These messages are influencing the very world around us and making our goal of building genuine connections in the real world all that more difficult. Still with us? Good! Sit back, relax, and try not to think too hard about it.Intro: “Map Change” by Every Time I Diecommonchaos.netTo continue to support the podcast, share it with a friend. With season 2022 of Earth officially over, Knives Monroe returns for our year in review episode. A lot of things happened this past year so there was a lot to talk about. We start off discussing physical and mental health, both of which played different roles in each our lives this year. Knives was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and I received a Gastritis diagnosis. Experiencing this has us both reassessing our day to day lives and how we're living so we do our best to expand on what some next steps are. We then dive into professional moments that we both experienced this year. From making a film to getting fired; both Knives and I have been on a roller coaster of emotions from a professional sense. As we arrive at the “next level” so to speak, we discuss the different ways of navigating our lives and careers into 2023Beyond that, we discuss some of our favorite and least favorite moments of 2022 including the standout entertainment moments in both movies and music. To continue to support the podcast, give it a like, share, sub, follow, review, or whatever you feel is necessary, don't forget to check out our sponsors and pick up some great products for your health and wellness.Intro: “Map Change” by Every Time I Diecommonchaos.netfightbackcbd.com promo code: chaosfnxfit.com promo code: chaosfnxtweet tweetthe gram

Mental health in general encompasses a wide variety of things. Regardless of who we are or what our genetic make up is; we all experience our own mental health journeys. With that being said, is it possible that we are preventing ourselves from capitalizing on our bodies ability to thrive at maximum capacity? In this episode I talk about how small behavioral changes lead to some pretty big improvements in overall mental well being. From a change in dietary habits, to a change in daily routines, the ability to understand and learn from our own emotions, feelings, etc, is an important part of figuring our lives out.To continue to support the podcast, give it a like, share, sub, follow, review, or whatever you feel is necessary, don't forget to check out our sponsors and pick up some great products for your health and wellness. Health and wellness have been very prevalent topics over the course of the last 3 years. With all this attention on health, you would think that it'd be easy for people to get their own health into check. Unfortunately, there's no magic health method that is the end all be all in terms of improvement. No remedy or cure can restore our health to full capacity or to perfect condition. Over time our vessels and their operational state start wearing thin. If we're not careful, that time will creep up on us, and it'll be too late to do anything about it. There are ways, however, where we can gain control of our health through understanding the different factors of health and how they relate to us individually. For me, health has been something I thought I was dialed in on. I was attentive, calculated to a degree, and seeing results. Yet here I am experiencing some set backs.Be it physical or mental, internal or external; health is the foundation of our existence and if we truly want to start maximizing our time here, our health needs to be put in to check. I believe taking control of ones health starts with finding the proper tools and resources necessary to educate oneself. After that, it's all about the individual actions we take to get the results we desire. To continue to support the podcast, give it a like, share, sub, follow, review, or engage through any of our social medias. In this episode I am joined by my lovely wife Rebecca Kern. Rebecca recently got admitted to to the University of Texas and will soon embark on her journey towards a Bachelor's degree in linguistics. We discuss our past year together including our wedding and subsequent life events that seem to keep us moving in an unknown direction. We dive in what our mindsets were going into 2022 and how we have faced the different challenges that have presented themselves thus far, and what we intend to do to continue to make 2022 our bitch.
This episode was a concoction of survival and self expression and eventually self deprecation. I know that doesn't make much sense now, but it will. I recently graduated at the ripe old age of 34. That combined with recently receiving my purple belt in Jiu Jitsu and starting a new career has me feeling a bit out of place. I also just got over having COVID, so I had nothing but time to sit and think about my life choices, which is never good. Perhaps it's imposter syndrome, perhaps its my difficulty accepting good things. regardless, recent events are fueling me with things to talk about and work out. Oh yea, I also lost out on a million dollar contract which is something I have never experienced before and not sure I want to again.
I share a few stories from this past week that really put me in an interesting whirlwind of emotions. I have been recovering all week from the normal, mundane, everyday grind, mixed with the rush of public intoxication, or perhaps, the need to feel alive. Especially after encountering a near death experience in the form of a wasp. The title of this episode is inspired by the words my friend Khalil Kennedy used to describe our experience during Saturdays event, which is the first story of this podcast.
May 7th is UFC 274 and it has a stacked main card that features two title fights. In the co-main even we see UFC Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas square off against challenger and former UFC Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza, plus a lightweight grudge match between Michael Chandler and Tony Ferguson.
Join me and my guest Jordon Modro as we give our final takes on what was a crazy and chaotic UFC 273. We saw champion in Alexander Volkanovski dominate his way to another featherweight title defense over The Korean Zombie (Chan Sung Jung) in the main event. In the co-main event, Aljamain Sterling silenced his critics when we defeated heavily favored, former champion, Petr Yan to retain his Bantamweight title. We also saw a classic battle between welterweight contenders, Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns.Intro: “Map Change” by Every Time I Diecommonchaos.netfightbackcbd.com promo code: chaosfnxfit.com promo code: chaosfnxtweet tweetthe gram

I really didn't have much to talk about other than the vulnerability of our own minds. Whether it's how we can be inspired by a politicians words, or our potential to be brainwashed by a sociopath. At the end of the day, we can be some weak minded creatures. How does this vulnerability, this lack of mental fortitude roll over to our personal and professional lives? How does this represent our behaviors and our actions? I'm asking cause like many, I could use some help.
I'm back with another solo episode featuring a few surprises as well as a look into the Joe Rogan drama, the implosion of Every Time I Die, the upcoming UFC 271 card and so much more. Sit back, relax, and enjoy my rapid banter.
Picking up where we left off, Knives Monroe and I sit back down and reflect on some of our favorite tangible things from the year 2021. Movies, music, media, we go over the highs and lows of last year as we prepare ourselves for what 2022 is inevitably going to bring and how we plan on moving forward in our respective journeys.
Season 2022 of life, earth, whatever you want to call it is upon us and it's shaping up to be one of the craziest yet. With the changing of the seasons and the proverbial new start everyone wants to embark on, It's important we discuss themes and ideas that hope to carry us successfully into the new year. Risk taking, investments, and progress are among the few I am working with going into 2022. Whatever yours are, it's best to make sure you're set up for success and ready for whatever may come you way.
Knives Monroe is a filmmaker, creator, business owner, and inspiration all wrapped up into one. This year we sit down for our annual year end episode and discuss our 2021. The highs, the lows… you get it. This year we had a lot to discuss in terms of development and growth. As everyone did, we each experienced different struggles throughout the 2021. Knives' takeaway is one of value. He takes us on a journey of how he went from no jobs, to three, each of which he created for himself. He's building his catalog, his brand, and his skill set while finally reaping the benefits from years of hard work. I'd like to think that this is life at work, but who knows. Either way, I hope you the enjoy!
Part 2 of my Discussion with Khalil Kennedy. ***Khalil Kennedy is a friend of mine residing here in Austin, Texas, originally hailing from St. Louis, MO. He is a middle school educator and coach, a breakdancer, and a jiu jitsu blue belt. If you're thinking, “wow this dude sounds badass”, you'd be correct. Khalil gives us his take on what the future young generations could potentially bring about. He fills us in on what is plaguing the education systems throughout America, but also lends us some ideas on how it can be fixed. We touch on the ideas of progression and post modernity all while questioning if we're truly doomed or not. It's a two parter so buckle up.

We're constantly being bombarded with distractions and influences. Absorbing whatever is stimulating our senses and our attention at any given time. Do we know how to filter the good from the bad? the chaos from the order? Do we know how what we absorb affects us and how we can use it to our advantage? Life is full of experiences, those experiences culminate to the very lives we live. How are we allowing them to define us? And how can we learn to utilize these experiences to the best of our ability? It's important that we try and manage these things effectively. What we take in we ultimately give back out, so it is necessary for us to be able to identify whether what we're taking in is an influence, or a distraction. We also need to know whether or it's feeding the chaos or the order.
We all struggle with some form of creative block, and this episode is a living example of that. Not too mention It took four months, draft after draft, and a few life events from where we last left off. I have finally come out of hiding and am ready to face the world. I will embrace the suffering and teach my lessons along the way.
In this episode I ramble on and on and on about a lot of nothing and everything at the same time. Life doesn't get any easier, no matter how hard you try, or at least it feels that way. Dialing in on what is important and necessary for you to be successful in your own life is one of the hardest things to figure out, or at least it has been for me. And what's worse is that, I don't know if I'm doing any of this right. I don't even know what right looks like… What does right look like? What does right feel like? We all know what success and accomplishment look like from the outside; but do we know what it feels like from the inside? Perception can be a cruel bitch.
Going all in on yourself is a hard decision, but in reality, it's truly now or never. Every day you waste not trusting your soul is another day closer to the great demise you know is waiting for you. I'm inconsistent, out of touch, and performing a poor excuse of balancing act aptly named, “keeping my life together”. I'm scared that I'm not gonna have all the answers by the time I die. In this episode, I admit a failure in an attempt to rid myself of this endless mundane cycle of falling and getting back up, Im not being knocked down mind you; I'm just falling, over my own feet. As I stumble along this journey I'm marching to 100 episodes with the podcast. After that who know what. You're going to hear some vulnerable honest truths on the way there. Our destinations are all different, but we all end up in the same place together. Another plain in another dimension together. Or as a nihilist may refer to it… Nothing at all. So why not take the chance. Enjoy the show.
I am joined by my good friend Bryan Olives. Olivas is a fellow sales leader and enthusiast of life. Driven by his passion for experiences, Olivas has learned as you grow, your outlook and perceptions grow as well. The important part is how/why these feelings and ideas grow. Is the growth a result of pain, anger, resentment? Or is a result of happiness, love, and joy? Growth comes from experiences and emotions. We can only hope to have an idea of how to react appropriately. Its a tough world out there folks, Buckle up!

A month and half into 2021 and love is in the air, at least it was until climate change decided to crash the party. The entire state of Texas was at the start of one of the harshest weather events in recent memory and we were there to tell the tale. We also discuss our recent deep dive into Star Wars, Wandavision, Matrix, and Harry Potter. We discuss our goals for 2021, the state of the world, and other non-sense for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!
(Recorded on 2/13/2021) Attitude is a crucial component to the equation of life. At least that’s how I’ve interpreted the impact of an attitude adjustment thus far in my life. I truly believe attitude is the difference in a good day and a bad day. A simple mindset shift can take you from the bed to the book, a zero to a hero, or whatever lame analogy you need to light that spark. I for one can only speak from experience. However, attitude is long discussed in terms of success and fulfilling potential. In this episode I share some examples and resources to help you with that shift. So what about your attitude needs an adjustment?
Christian McGahan is a busy man. He is the host of the Max Effort podcast, vocalist for Virtue (Austin, Texas), a personal trainer. Christian is a man of determination and perseverance. No stranger to peaks and valleys himself, Christian gives us his take on how one can reclaim control of their journey and become the best version of themselves.
January hasn’t even ended and so far we have seen: Capitol riots, a second impeachment, a free market revolt, crashed planes, aliens, Super-COVID, and Tom Brady clinch another Super Bowl visit. I can’t even fucking clean my room. Who are we? Where are we? What in the hell are we doing and does it even make sense? These are all valid questions we should be asking ourselves as we embark into the new unknown. I ask that you to tune in and start living your truth. Because sooner or later you’re gonna die and then what???
My dear friend and OG C.C. guest Mr. Trent Knox joins me to share his thoughts and feelings about 2020. Like many Trent was left scratching his head saying, “what the fuck is actually going on?” And with 2021 officially upon us, there isn’t much left for us to do than to take aim at some goals and intentions as we brave into the new unknown.
(Recorded on 12/29/2020) I sit down with the madman himself Knives Monroe as we discuss the utter shiftiest that was 2020. On the heels of one of the craziest years of all time, we dive into the high points and low lights that came with the year 2020 and all that we have to look forward to in 2021. There was a ton of chaos to experience over the last year so hopefully this episode can help restore some order. With only a few days left, sit back with us and reflect on this wild ride.
(Recorded on 11/11) Over one week removed from the election and the good ol' United States is still standing, for now. With season 2020 of earth nearing its end, we look to 2021 for with hope and determination...or something like that.

Death is imminent, it is all around us, and in 2020 it is on the tip of our tongues. When I was younger I used to think I was the only one with this fear; that I was the only one plagued with sleepless nights and anxiety ridden panic attacks. As I embraced the idea of death more and more I began to realize that everyone has their own way of coping with the ultimate end. Hear my thoughts on dying, what role psychedelics play, and how I think we can become more comfortable with the big nap. Michael “Rickshaw” Martin is the former bassist of Iwrestledabearonce and is the current creator and host of Worship & Tribute Nerd. We discuss living life on the road in a full time band, post band life, his recent move to Austin Texas and his new creative endeavors. We talk about the idea of a perfect plan and how even if it doesn’t work out initially, you can still press on and live out your truth.
We often overthink our actions to the point of paralysis. We wonder, “what if I fail?”, “What if I don’t make it?” These “what-if’s” these hesitations that come our way are mental blocks that are results of nature and nurture. We get caught up in a motion that over takes us, a thought that stunts our movement forward. What we need to do is take action. At first it may seem as though the action is aimless but in doing so we find the building blocks of motivation and purpose. We must overcome the resistance and take action for the very sake of our mental clarity and livelihood.
Discipline, it sucks. You hate it! I know you do. I do! I hate having to get up every morning and exit my warm bed, leave my fiancé and dogs, and go work for the corporation. What sucks even more is that we can’t escape it. We need some form of discipline in our lives in order to have any type of control over what happens to us and our legacy. The only thing I’ve learned in this process, is how to suck it up and get over it. Before I knew, my whole perception of discipline changed. Now I crave it. You should too!
I discuss my recent battle with communication and leadership. We all strive to become better versions of ourselves. To find authenticity in a world where that is hard to come by. I understand everyone feels apprehensive, defensive, scared, alone, anxious and a whole slew of other emotions. In order to better control how we react to these messages, or better yet, respond, we must first put ourselves through some challenging spaces. Ones that may question our competence and behaviors. I share a recent experience where I had to do just that. I share my result and how I hope to be better prepared in the future.
(Recorded on 5/17/2020) Becca and I sit down and discuss what we thought was the end of the COVID-19 pandemic (we were wrong). We talk about the nuances of life as we discuss the new normal in May 2020. We seem to be watching a reality television series as 2020 just keeps getting weirder and weirder. This is the final episode of the series. The entire collection in video format can be viewed on YouTube and FaceBook.
(Recorded on 4/21/2020) I sit down with Becca as an officially engaged couple and we dissect the ongoing COVID-19 craziness. With the country seemingly going stir-crazy, a month and a half into quarantine, decisions are being made to open up shop, albeit, at a gradual pace. Are we ready? Is anyone ready? Is the world ready for what is likely to be a drawn out reemergence into reality as we await Corona’s next move? We also discuss Breaking Bad, our favorite TV shows and more.
COVID-19 has been wreaking havoc on the global community for the last several months, leaving countries around the world to put restrictions on their people and what they can do. The global lockdown that the COVID-19 virus has caused many things. Closed businesses, the loss of lives, and worse, it has forced the world as we know it, to stop functioning… to a degree. With this being the case, we are left with but ourselves (and perhaps the few other helpless victims that are being forced the same fate) to tend too. It is here where the real chaos begins. Are we all being given the chance to start a new? Is this a soft reset for us? A chance to realign ourselves and rediscover what’s important and crucial to our existence? Not just as individuals, but as a species.
(Recorded 04/01/2020) In this episode we sit down with John Manley and Heidi Mathis via video chat on Facebook live to discuss what it’s like living with the virus. We get an inside account of what life is like in Europe and more specifically, Germany. We hear about the Virus’s effect on the two of them, their local economy and industry, and what they are doing to get through the process of living and recovering from the virus.
Bryan is once again joined by his girlfriend, co-host of the Tired Girls Club podcast, Becca Manley. We are also joined by an array of characters; Matt Musselwhite of iHateTheScene.com, Trent Knox of Cyber City Media/Austin Live and Local, and director/filmmaker Knives Monroe, of Knives Monroe vs. The Podcast. Becca deploys some Tired Girls tactics and gives us some cootie catcher magic along with some tarot card readings. There is feet stuff! (Recorded 03/21/2020) We’re back! Join Becca and I as we are one step closer to madness. There is a national self distancing being enforced and it is beginning to show its effects on a grand scale. We talk with some returning friends on Facebook live as we get an idea of how people are surviving these current conditions.
