Rich is also an actor, who's production banner, 12th Planet Productions, starring in the action thriller, “Fallen Cards”which he wrote and co-directed along with Zack Ward and Justin Zagri now in post-production and other credits include the comedy, “Slay Belles” starring Barry Bostwick as well as the critically acclaimed, “The Debt Collector” starring Scott Adkins, Michael Pare, Louis Mandylor, directed by Jesse V. Johnson, the action adventure “Knight And Day” starring Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz,directed by James Mangold and the family comedy, “Cowboy Spirit.” Rich Manley was born in Concord Massachusetts and raised in the city of Stow and as a ten-year-old learned magic from his grandfather, Dr. Douglas Marchant, a surgeon who explored global cultures and their medicinal traditions. Rich attended College at Radford University in Virginia for Acting/media studies and sports studies focusing on martial arts and left college, and traveled to Los Angeles as part of a film crew for a reality show pilot called "Stars Stunts Action" and also engaged his magic abilities by performing at the prestigious Magic Castle in Hollywood.

Martha Lou Gholson Brown Holland passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2025. She was surrounded by loved ones. Martha Lou loved playing and listening to old hymns and instrumental piano. She was well-versed in genealogy research and even wrote a book about her Gholson ancestors. She loved history. She was a food connoisseur and loved going out to eat. She collected over 100 Beanie babies and Santas. She loved Christmas! Visitation will be Monday, April 28, 2025 from 6-8 PM at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, Waco Texas.Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 10 AM at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Robinson with burial immediately following at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas.Martha Lou was born in Marlin, Texas on July 30, 1938 to George T. Gholson and Elizabeth Latimer Gholson. She was active in band and student council while in high school. She married Mabry Lewis Brown on August 20, 1954 in Marlin, Texas at her parents' home. They were married for 35 years until his death in 1989. She then married Fred Holland in October, 1990. They were married for 32 years.She attended Baylor University for advanced classes. She received her Associates Degree from McLennan Community College.Martha Lou was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the Nile, where she was a past queen and a 50 year plus member. She was a member of McLennan Chapter No. 639 Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Elizabeth Gordon Bradley National Society of the American Revolution (DAR). She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist for over 50 years. She was the organist, in the choir and in a Sunday class.Martha Lou worked for various credit unions and banks in Marlin and Mexia. She then moved to Waco and worked at Parker E. Ressler, CPA; Bayly Corporation; Manley and CO. and was also an accountant for Raytheon/CTAS, from which she retired. After retirement, she was an advocate for the elderly and guardianship at Friends for Life and attorneys in Temple, TX.Martha Lou was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elizabeth Gholson, spouses Mabry Lewis Brown and Fred Holland.She is survived by her children: Jimmy Brown and wife, Becky; Cynthia Owen and husband, Dell; and Diane Rogers and husband, James (Red). Grandchildren: Aaron Schnizer and fiancé, Melissa; Therese Kurtz and spouse, Kerry; Andy Schnizer and spouse, Allison; Justin Sanderson and spouse, Leslie; Danny Brown and spouse, Emily; Jennifer Oliver and spouse, JR; Jessica Hinton and spouse, Joel; Tara Payne and spouse, Kevin; and Melissa Rogers. She also has a B.S and M.A in Psychology, and an M.Ed. in School Counseling.  She has worked as the riding director at a residential children's home and as a riding instructor at multiple facilities.  She has also worked as a School Counselor for eleven years at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. She lives in Shepherdstown, WV with her 2 kids, 5 cats, 1 great pyrenees, 1 bearded dragon, and 1 retired pony!Ride From the Start LLC and the PAL Around Pony School program began in 2012, when Shelley had many parents of young children requesting horseback riding lessons. This often proved a challenging endeavor, as her tiniest riders would quickly grow bored when riding and were not able to sustain attention on the pony beyond a few minutes at a time.  While studying to become a school counselor, Shelley was also learning how to develop a curriculum and write lesson plans. She was studying child development in depth and pondering how to create a more age-appropriate means of introducing young children to horses. She decided to use her newfound skills to create a program that combined elements of fun hands-on learning, stories, songs, games, and horseback riding.In March of 2012, she held her first class, offering it to a group of friends and their children.  Since the students were eager to continue the program, she recognized a need to continue developing the lesson plans, and the PAL Around Pony School curriculum began to take shape. It has evolved over the past thirteen years, as a result of customer feedback.  The program has operated at six different locations across the Eastern panhandle and in the nearby states of Virginia and Maryland, all with consistent success. Hundreds of area children have now enjoyed PAL Around Pony School, and many of those children have continued into regular riding lessons. Thomas and Panu connected with Julian Manley and Kamila Kuc who joined in from Scotland and London to explore the intersections of climate change, emotions and the arts. Kamila and Julian described their recent collaboration using the practice of social dreaming, a group process to discuss and find larger meaning, emotional reality, and direction from personal dreams. Hosting social dreaming gatherings is a powerful way to foster community dialogue about eco and climate emotions and support artistic practices such as poetry and film making. They had a rich dialogue about art, action, and ways to envision nature as an active participant in our collective dreams. 

Jenny Manley shared her journey of discerning whether to stay or go overseas for ministry, offering five key questions to guide the decision: 1) What does your theology say about missions? 2) Is there a need, and can you meet it? 3) What guidance are you receiving from others? 4) Do you feel a desire to go? 5) Are you willing to make the necessary sacrifices? Through prayer and wise counsel, Jenny encouraged the audience to thoughtfully consider these questions as they seek God's calling, whether to remain or serve Him abroad.
