Polar Bear Club was a post-hardcore/melodic punk band from upstate New York. They were active mostly from the mid-2000s to around 2015. Their sound was a mix of gruff, emotional vocals with melodic yet aggressive instrumentals. They released albums on Triple Crown Records, Bridge Nine Records and Rise Records. And toured with such bands as The Gaslight Anthem, Set Your Goals, Four Year Strong, Every Time I Die, The Bouncing Souls, Bad Religion, The Story So Far, Citizen, New Found Glory and Taking Back Sunday. I got Jimmy on the Skype and this is what we chat about: His band The Disaster 2 things that kickstarted them to tour Red Leader Records and Matt Rosenberg As 'Twere the Mirror Member changes Clash Battle Guilt Pride Bad tours His voice changing on the last record Audiotree How the band ended Will there be a reunion And a ton more Check out his new band Shy Tooth on Spotify and all the platforms Lastly I do whiteboard animations so if your marketing department has said recently “Hey, we need a whiteboard animation” then email me at mike@drive80.com.

FInding the right distributor for your shop is like finding the wise wizard on your hero's journey. He's always got your back, he's gonna level you up, and you can't imagine having anybody else by your side as you ✨s l a y✨. Dylan's longtime wizard is AJ from Davis International, may this conversation be a case study to hold against you and your current print plug. Topics of discussion include: Bills mafia, Every Time I Die, AOL trial CDs, shifting from printing to distribution, testing product, common shop mistakes, market volatility, printing for money vs printing for pride, and Dylan's skepticism towards polos.

You have to take out a mortgage on your house now to get a haircut in Los Angeles. I saw Apocalypse Now in 70mm, and it was quite an experience. I flew to Buffalo and did things, I'm here right now. Why does Hollywood want us to like Glen Powell so much? Beerwolf wrote one of my favorite songs.

Original Airdate 9/28/16Tonight's show has the guys discussing Every Time I Die's latest! From http://epitaph.com“The whole winter, the temperature was in the low teens. Bitterly cold,” says Every Time I Die's front man Keith Buckley regarding the months that yielded their eighth full-length album. But Keith and the rest of the band Jordan Buckley (guitar), Andy Williams (guitar), Daniel Davison (drums), and Steve Micciche (bass) aren't so hard up for pathos at this point that they're grumbling about the temperature outside. If anything, Low Teens is their most poignant and impassioned album in a career full of sardonic illuminations and pit-inciting fervor. The band was on tour in Toronto in December when Keith received a phone call that his wife was in the hospital with a life-threatening pregnancy complication. It was a harrowing night as Buckley left the tour and raced home to overwhelming uncertainty. Both wife and daughter survived the ordeal, but the moment of crisis had a lasting impact on Buckley and an inevitable role in shaping the lyrical scope of Low Teens.Low Teens' razor-sharp sound and auditory barbarism was abetted by engineer and producer Will Putney (Acacia Strain, Body Count, Exhumed). Low Teens' guest vocalists further demonstrate these polarized extremes, with formidable bellower Tim Singer (Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, No Escape) roaring alongside Buckley on opening track “Fear and Trembling” and longtime friend Brendan Urie (Panic! at the Disco) providing a melodic counterpoint on “It Remembers”. Yes, Every Time I Die has always juggled hardcore urgency, metal brutalism, and rock melodies, but never has it felt this instinctive or this vicious. The pressure drop that yielded Low Teens could have crippled a lesser band, but Every Time I Die weathered the winter to deliver their strongest offering to date because of, not in spite of, these hardships and roadblocks.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

Join Jordan and I as we catch up with Jordan after his last appearance on the podcast, and really tackle some of the bigger questions like does Whitney Houston really have as many hits as people claim she does? Jordan and I open up about our individual journeys through therapy and even some non traditional ways that have allowed us to find healing through past traumas and how they inform us moving forward. Jordan opens up a bit about the struggles he endured at the end of Every Time I Die's tenure, the betrayal he felt from people who leaked his texts and emails, and how he's reconciled that. We talk Better Lovers and the very apparent camaraderie the band has so quickly with one another. What's in store for the band moving forward and more in this 2 hour chat with the Better Lovers guitarist. After a month or so of agent bashing, it was only a matter of time before someone stepped up to put us back in our place. And that someone is the brilliant Mr Tom Taaffe, the man behind the bookings of the likes of Every Time I Die, Pallbearer, Spanish Love Songs, Deafheaven, While She Sleeps, Beartooth and Elder at our festivals. What's his take on the ballache of billing and A-Z line-up posters, the rising fees for bands and promoters asking US arena-level bands to play club shows in England? What's happening with Sleep and are The Reytons a suitable headliner for 2000trees?Tom gives his honest take on it all.We go again, next Thursday morning. Be there.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Hungover over Zoom video!Orlando, FL-based pop-rock band Hungover has released eleven new tracks as the latest installment in their discography.Ahead of the album release, the band shared three singles - Out of Body, Reunion, and Shake It Off."'When It Touches the Heart, Everything Resolves' evolves the pop-forward rock sound we developed on WILT by exploring new sonic textures that call back to the artists who have informed us. You can expect a more complete and dynamic Hungover on this record." -Marc Cortes, Vocalist of HungoverHungover is the product of the ashes of other bands and the years its members — Marc Cortes, Sean Connors, and Gabe Santiago — spent together in the Orlando music scene. It's there that Hungover cut their teeth in small, packed clubs and bars, carefully honing their penchant for energetic, impactful, and wildly pop-sensible guitar rock. In the studio, Hungover learned to push the envelope and sharpen WILT's five songs with the help of producer and engineer Alan Reitman. After self-releasing WILT to underground acclaim, Hungover chose to team up with Smartpunk Records to release the EP on vinyl with three brand new, unreleased songs mastered by Alan Douches (Real Friends, Fall Out Boy, Every Time I Die). Three's Company, Exit: Stage Left, and Sleep Alone all effortlessly exhibit the same vigor, cleverness, and raw emotion of the five songs that preceded them, but capture the experience and know-how of a band at their peak.Hungover as a whole is a helium, their dynamic sound inflating any room they inhabit. A bar becomes a hall, a club becomes a theatre, and so on; and it's no accident either. By allowing themselves to be molded by the rooms they've played, Hungover is in turn able to mold those rooms themselves. It's this awareness that instills WILT with the exact same sensation; that urgent push from the inside of the chest and the awareness that the moment is somehow bigger than the seconds it exists in. That indefinable something. We want to hear from you! We had the pleasure of interviewing Incendiary over Zoom video!Armed with crushing metallic riffs, instantly both fresh and familiar, Incendiary populate each of their four full-length albums with irresistibly energized rhythms and adrenalized urgency. Change The Way You Think About Pain is their leanest and unapologetically meanest yet. The quintet weaned on the Long Island, New York, hardcore scene have more to say than ever. Sharply biting and insightful lyrics sit atop blunt metalcore in a perfect soundtrack to throw a brick through a window.Incendiary delivers a sound of its own, mixing classic passion and modern power. Frontman Brendan Garrone, guitarists Brian Audley and Rob Nobile, and drummer Dan Lomeli, cite East Coast hardcore heroes like Vision Of Disorder, 108, Indecision and Glassjaw as part of Incendiary's formative DNA. Less familiar listeners might liken them to a very heavy Rage Against The Machine. The band returned to Will Putney of Graphic Nature Audio (Knocked Loose, Every Time I Die, Vein.fm) to engineer, mix and master the new release. Many essential genre bands never made a second album, let alone a fourth. “We are kind of in rare territory being a hardcore band on their fourth LP,” Garrone concedes. “It feels like a milestone. By now, you're either ‘supposed' to drastically change your sound or have it be the exact same thing as the record before,” he adds. “We didn't want to do either of those things. Our focus was on refining the sound that we've optimally been working towards rather than any desire to make a huge pivot.” Audley says that in addition to the more focused songwriting on Change The Way You Think About Pain, “we also wanted it to be more aggressive and more abrasive, in terms of songs and production.”Thematically, Incendiary's fourth album confronts the hyper-polarization of American society, those who confuse selfishness with freedom, and the lengths we'll go to in order to avoid pain and maintain comfort. The socio-political pulse found throughout Cost of Living remains, with a deeper exploration of the introspective personal lyrics Garrone started to introduce on Thousand Mile Stare. “The album is a mix of both the socio-politically driven content and darker, more personalized subjects. The album title is meant to conjure the concept of pain avoidance,” Garrone explains. “Most of the songs have some kind of tie back to the things everyone does to avoid feeling any semblance of pain. ‘Pain avoidance' is a phrase me and Brian came across and kept in the back of our minds.”We want to hear from you!
