Snyder has no comment about the report of receiving a Rolex for giving his number to Nelson Cruz upon the latter's arrival to Tampa and that he's just glad Cruz is on the team! Kyle says he still is influenced by Rays' former pitching coach Jim Hickey, and it seems the team has not missed a beat under Snyder's guidance. Kyle tries to teach from a perspective of a voice of reason, and he cares about who he coaches. Kyle also talks about some of the Rays' injured pitchers and says both Chris Archer and Nick Anderson are well on their way to returning to the team soon! We get a visit from Indiana University football coach Tom Allen on Monday, as Ian wants to pick the brain of the coach from his alma mater to see if their 2021 squad matches up with the successful 2020 team that earned a place in the 2021 Outback Bowl. LEO=Love Each Other, Allen's motto for the team, is a culture of relationship-building and trust. Coach Allen says the best teams he's ever been a part of has had tis trait, and it shows with the team's performance since Allen's initial hiring as a defensive coordinator in 2016. Coach Allen got his start in Tampa, as he flooded the state with resumes and Temple Heights Christian School answered back and hired him! His quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., is a Tampa product, and Allen recruits this area heavily. All This and MORE!

Before the guys got into that, Wayne talked about his longtime friend Bobby Bowden, whom he's known since he was six years old! In fact, Wayne is great friends with Bobby's son, Terry, the former Auburn coach! Wayne also discusses the love all of Bowden's ex-players have for Bobby, who was a father figure to a lot of those players. The Florida Rising Stars Experience is a one-day camp where middle-schoolers get on-field instruction, and high-schoolers will get training in all sorts of professions in the sports industry.
On Friday, Captain Mike Anderson joins Ian to update us all on the worsening red tide situation in west central Florida, and also, a little Aaron Rodgers discussion as usual. Captain Mike says the entire fishing industry is aware of the situation here, and the reality here is that the situation is horrible and catastrophic, but it's not everywhere. Near the Skyway Bridge, Anna Maria Island and offshore are all places that have been okay recently. However, Captain Mike and all the other fishing captains say it's the worst they've ever seen. Erik believes that if the Kraken didn't pick Gourde, Ross Colton likely would have been the choice. He also gets into the process of the draft, saying there was no particular order for the Kraken to actually choose the players they wanted. While the Tampa Bay Rays could be looking to be buyers at the deadline as they are near the top of the AL East, Solondz believes that the league still has to set the pace yet as to how active it will be before the Rays consider any potential moves.

Andrew says his experience was fantastic, and was so glad to share the time with his fellow All-Stars Joey Wendle and Mike Zunino. Andrew got the call from AL Manager Kevin Cash while at Disney with his family, and Andrew shared what that experience was like. Andrew talks about the elbow injury he suffered toward the tail end of last season, and decided to rehab the injury instead of having Tommy John surgery.
