To get to the playoffs, you need your star players to play like star player. But to win playoff games, you need your role players to step up and produce star-like numbers. But to win key playoff games vs the defending champs, who are led by Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson, you need a miracle. And that miracle was Lonnie Walker IV. AD dominated in the paint on both ends, per usual. Lebron chipped in with almost 30 points. But to overcome a 30-point triple-double and save the Lakers' season in the biggest game of the season, Lonnie IV rose up and never came back down. The Lakers rebounded with a 30-point blowout to the Warriors by putting on a defensive clinic led by Anthony Davis. Lebron James gave an all-around performance and revved up the Crypto crowd with his hustle plays. And D'Angelo Russell took control of the offense with his 3pt shooting. On the other hand, the Warriors' big 3 were completely flustered with their sloppy passes partnered with committing too many fouls. With LA leading the series 2-1, Game 4 will be the most crucial game of both of the teams' seasons. Will the Lakers put on a stranglehold with a 3-1 lead or will the Warriors take back control, tying the series at 2-2? Also, I know I have no intro or outro... So I apologize LOL This is my first time doing a video podcast, so give me grace because it's been a minute since I've done one. But THANK YOU for watching (or listening) to my newest podcast episode! Make sure you check out my reviews for Game 1 and 2 on Spotify, Anchor, or wherever you get podcasts! The Lakers got blown out by the Warriors, led by their big 3 Curry, Draymond, & Klay. AD continues to be giving this roller-coaster type of performances with another bad game after an incredible outing. But despite the doom-and-gloom, there's still reason to be optimistic about the Lakers going forward.
Today, we go over the LA Lakers 117-112 win over the GS Warriors in Game 1 of the NBA West Semifinals. Who are the Lakers MVPs of the game? Why Warriors fans & NBA media can't bring up the free-throw discrepancy to excuse their loss? How the Lakers can adjust to the Warriors zone defense?
We see only see these stories in myths or fairytales that we're told as kids. But even as adults, these stories are as real as real can get. The story of the massive underdog, unlikely hero, the nobody going up against all odds to defeat the overwhelming favorite, the overpowered villain, the somebody. David and Goliath. The tortoise and the hare. Lebron being down 3-1 to the 73-9 Warriors with Kevin Durant. We've seen this story, and there's another one we can potentially add to the list: The Cincinnati Bengals vs the Los Angeles Rams (AKA Joe Burrow vs the star-studded LA Rams). Today I discuss the improbable, yet inspirational story of Joe Burrow going from the lowest of lows to defying the odds to be at the highest highs...not once, but twice in his short football career. From being the backup's backup to having the greatest season ever in college football history. From tearing his ACL in his rookie year to leading his team to the Super Bowl in the following year. Ben Simmons was a big reason to why the Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. But he wasn't the only problem, there were plenty of issues & reasons as to why they failed this season. He's been overrated for so long that his plummeting value is now making him underrated. Whichever team trades for the 6'10 point guard plays for won't regret it. With the recent rule changes that are to be implemented for next year's NBA season, star scorers will have to adjust their entire playstyle to be able to still be effective on the offensive end. This rule change won't solve the non-basketball foul-drawn issue that the NBA refs, fans, & analysts are pleading to change. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
Giannis Antetokounmpo should at least be the 5th best player in the NBA based off of his accolades alone (2x MVP, DPOY, multiple time All-NBA & All-Defensive teams). But if he wins the 2021 Finals & Finals MVP, he has a legitimate case to be considered as a top 3 player over Kawhi, Curry, & Harden… Shohei Ohtani is doing something we've never seen in the last century. Imagine if Curry led the NBA in blocks or steals, or if Giannis led the league in 3-pointers made or 3-point percentage. That's the equivalent of what Ohtani is doing for baseball. As the best pitcher on his team, he's also leading the MLB in home runs… With the aftermath of Conor McGregor's loss to Dustin Poirer, both of their careers seem to be going in complete opposite directions. One seems to be on the same level of Nate Diaz, while the other seems to be on the same level of Kamaru Usman… Don't forget to drop a LIKE! FOLLOW and SUBSCRIBE to listen to more podcasts! UFC 263 was a roller coaster of an event. It was one of the first times the UFC had a full-capacity event since the COVID-19 pandemic closed everything down. And it was filled with emotions: perseverance, inspiration, and dominance. All of the main events (Diaz vs Edwards, Figueiredo vs Moreno, & Adesanya vs Vettori) not only lived up to the hype, but exceeded beyond expectations. In today's podcast, I recap each of the three main event fights and what I took away from them. Topics: 1. ENG Leon Edwards vs USA Nate Diaz (170 lbs/Welterweight) 2. BR Deivison Figueiredo vs MEX Brandon Moreno (125 lbs/Flyweight) 3. NGA Israel Adesanya vs ITA Marvin Vettori (185 lbs/Middleweight) Don't forget to drop a LIKE! The NBA Playoffs has been nothing but shocking! With the Bucks sweeping the Heat, the Lakers and Lebron are on the verge of being bounced out of the first round to the Suns, the Clippers and Mavs trading home court advantage, and the Hawks blowing out the Knicks. This first round is proving why the regular season is completely different than the postseason. Don't forget to drop a LIKE! FOLLOW and SUBSCRIBE to hear more podcasts! Today, I am interviewing basketball prodigy Jessica Malazarte. We cover tons of topics about basketball & her life. She played for the Bishop Montgomery Lady Knights and the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds. Being surrounded by the sport ever since the day she was born, she's not only exceeded expectations, but proved doubters and haters wrong. Although, she doesn't have the ideal height of a typical basketball player, whether it be men or women, she has shown that work ethic, mindset, and heart are much more important than physical attributes. Despite playing in a sport catered to giants, this little dynamo shines when the lights are the brightest. Today's Topics: Even though the Miami Dolphins traded down three picks from the 3rd overall pick to the 6th overall pick, are they really set on Tua Tagovailoa being their franchise QB? And with all of these allegations coming out against Deshaun Watson, are they still in on trading for the Houston Texans QB? The New York Jets traded Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers for a 2nd, 4th, and 6th round pick. Can the former 3rd overall pick revive his career down south after escaping the Adam Gase dungeon? With the San Francisco 49ers trading two 1st round picks from the 12th overall pick to get to the 3rd overall pick, are they definitely going to draft Alabama QB Mac Jones or are all of these rumors just smokescreen? If the San Francisco 49ers do end up taking Mac Jones with the 3rd overall pick, where will Ohio State QB Justin Fields be drafted? The Atlanta Falcons? The Denver Broncos? or a team in North East? Is Warriors star Draymond Green right for saying that the young players in today's NBA are "soft as hell"? Don’t forget to drop a LIKE! On March 18, 2021, the UCLA Bruins defeated the Michigan St. Spartans in an overtime win 86-80. But the biggest story from that game was the altercation between Spartans' head coach, Tom Izzo, and his player, Gabe Brown. There has been a lot of controversy on NBA All-Star snubs for an already controversial decision to have an All-Star game this year. But there has been one player who has stood out from the others that should have not been. This takes snubs to an all time level. The discussion for QBs and where they will play have never been hotter. Whether it be quarterbacks in the draft, free agent market, or even who demand to be traded. You might see a lot of familiar faces with unfamiliar jerseys this upcoming NFL season. The most stacked card in the history of the UFC is tonight for UFC 259. With THREE titles on the line, I wouldn't have believed you if you told me Christmas came 9 months early this year. Will we see multiple double champs after tonight? We'll see. The 2020-2021 NFL season is over, but the Miami Dolphins have a lot ahead of them. They have to make a big, franchise-changing decision on who's going to be their franchise quarterback of their future: Tua Tagovailoa or Deshaun Watson. Even before the Houston Rockets traded away their superstar guard James Harden, they were always annoying to watch. But after the Harden trade, they 100% became the most annoying team to watch led by Demarcus Cousins, PJ Tucker, and Eric Gordon. A few weeks from now, one of the most stacked cards in UFC history will commence headlined by three title bouts, former UFC champions, and main event fighters. -- Don’t forget to drop a LIKE! The LA Lakers completely dominated the Miami Heat in Game 1. But despite the Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic not playing in Game 2, the Heat might've figured the Lakers. With Bam coming back and the Lakers shooting woes coming back to haunt them, don't be surprised if Jimmy Butler and the Heat go on to beat the Lebron James and the Lakers in Game 3. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
The Third Team All-NBA selections came out and I noticed one name that wasn't there. Yeah, it was my boy, Brandon Ingram. After winning the Most Improved Player award for the season he had, I was ecstatic the NBA was finally acknowledging him. But for the stats he put up with the roster he was on, with who his coach was, I strongly believe Brandon Ingram should've made an All-NBA selection instead of Jayson Tatum and Jimmy Butler. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
The NBA Finals is starting tonight at 6pm. The LA Lakers are looking to be tied with the Boston Celtics for 17 championships, while the Miami Heat are looking to snag their 4th championship. Even though the Lebron and the Lakers are heavy favorites, Jimmy Butler and the Heat have been winning as underdogs against the cream of the crop of the Eastern conference. So I predict the series will be filled with nothing but close games, going back to back. Lebron James and the Lakers have been nothing short of dominance ever since Game 2 of their first round matchup with the Blazers.
