Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle DJ Reader joins us today on In the Trenches with Dave Lapham. Lap and DJ talk about the Bengals huge win in Week 8 vs the San Fransico 49ers and their huge matchup in Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills. DJ and this Bengals defense had another great performance in Week 8, facing an elite offense in the 49ers and holding them to just 17 points. The Bengals held Christian McCaffery, the best running back in the league, to just 54 yards rushing and DJ was a huge part of that success like he has been all season. It was a huge test for this Bengals team that started slow to start the season but has caught fire again winning their last three games. With Joe Burrow looking back to 100% the sky is the limit for the Bengals who face another top-tier team in Week 9. It's a rematch of the AFC Divisional game from last season where the Bengals knocked out the Bills winning in Buffalo 27-10. This Sunday's game will also be the first time this Bills team is returning to Cincinnati since the tragic Damar Hamlin injury. The Jungle will be bumping for Sunday Night Football this week for The Cincinnati Bengals vs The Buffalo Bills. BKa nd Tyler break down the 30-12 49er's victory over the G-Men of New York on Thursday Night Football. Christian McCaffery is evolving, Giants lousy mistakes, and is Brock Purdy actually good?
Thursday Night Football is over and the 49ers emerged with an 18 point victory. Listen to what some players and HC Kyle Shanahan had to say immediately following the game.
Week 3 of Thursday Night Football gives us the New York Giants vs the San Francisco 49ers. What are the biggest storylines of this game? With the Giants down their best offensive lineman Andrew Thomas and offensive player Saquon Barkley, where do they go from here? Being a balanced offense is important and protecting QB Daniel Jones is as important. Nick Bosa should be in the backfield often in this matchup with a back OT starting. Will RB Eric Gray help the Giants run the ball well enough in Barkley's absence? DP believes the Giants' defensive line will be pivotal to stopping Christian Mccaffery and forcing Brock Purdy to shoulder the offensive weight. It's time to break it all down from the depth chart to off-season moves, we look at the #49ers through a fantasy lens to help you determine which players you can trust, which players will bust, and which players are worth taking a shot on in 2023. Meet Kameron from Palo Duro HS, here is a quick bio to get to know Kameron. I like working out, hanging out with friends, but nothing makes me happier than getting on the football field, I am honestly in love with the contact that football brings and just the competitiveness that you have to have to be elite. My favorite players as of right now are Nick Bosa, Deebo Samuel, Dre Greenlaw, and Christian McCaffery. My father and my coach Ziggy Hood are my biggest motivators they stay on me 24/7 never letting me slip up and the moment I start drifting they always have let me know the hard truth and to get it right, I wouldn't be where I am today without either one of them. I am honestly not sure where I would like to attend college I just want to be somewhere where I can shine and play like I know I can, anywhere that gives me that chance is where you will find me playing at. AFC Conference Championship Kansas City Chiefs vs Cincinnati Bengals Can Joe Burrow run his record against Mahomes and the Chiefs to 4-0 and punch their ticket to a second straight Super Bowl? NFC Conference Championship San Francisco 49ers vs Philadelphia Eagles Can Nick Bosa and the 49er's defense find a way to get to Jalen Hurts and slow down an Eagles offense that features AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith? Will the Eagle's lead leaguing sack unit make Brock Purdy look like a rookie and keep him from getting the ball into the hands of Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffery? The NFL Conference Championships kick off this weekend with the Cincinnati Bengals vs the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers vs the Philadelphia Eagles as all 4 teams look to punch their Super Bowl tickets. Here we preview the 13-4 San Francisco 49ers vs the 14-3 Philadelphia Eagles. Unlike the AFC Championship, this is the first time this season that the Eagles and the 49ers will meet one another, although once the 49ers started putting together that Purdy impressive win streak, see what I did there, it was destined to happen. It's Nick Bosa and the 49er's defense against Jalen Hurts, Miles Sanders, AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and this Eagle's offense. The best run defense in the NFL against one of the best running teams in the league. On the other side of the ball, the Eagle's defense will look to continue to improve on their league-leading sack totals to slow down Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffery, Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk. Rich recaps the Jimmy Garoppolo and 49ers' Monday Night Football domination of the Arizona Cardinals and says the Niners' MNF rout shows why the Dallas Cowboys need to sign Odell Beckham Jr. now more than ever. NFL Insider Ian Rapoport tell Rich why the 49ers' trade for Christian McCaffery looks like a bargain now, if the Cowboys are the frontrunner to sign Odell Beckham Jr., just how injured Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields' non-throwing shoulder is, if the Jets are losing patience with erratic 2nd-year quarterback Zach Wilson, which NFL hot seats are warming up, and if Jeff Saturday has a chance to have the “interim” tag removed from his Colts Head Coach title. Today's word of the day is ‘23' as in Joran as in used to be LeBron as in hitless at bats for Jose Altuve in the postseason right now. And the Astros still took a 2-0 lead in the ALCS. One long ball from Alex Bregman did it. Are the Yankees ready to panic? (23:30) So You Wanna Talk to Samson!? Someone asked me if players have responsibility to stand up to owners like LeBron did with Robert Sarver. They were referring to Aaron Rodgers and Daniel Snyder. (31:55) Review: Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. (42:30) Let's talk trades! Christian McCaffery was traded to the 49ers because the Panthers stink. Elijah Moore wants a trade from the Jets because he's not getting the ball. Interesting.
