While many of us understand the functionality of a credit card, a financial tool that allows you to pay now and pay later, but not many of us understand the advantages a credit card can provide in the form of leverage. Leverage can be defined as using debt (borrowed capital) in order to undertake an investment. The goal would be to multiply the potential returns from the investment while, at the same time, leverage would also multiply the potential downside risk in case the investment does not pan out. And our guess is that this percentage increased as a result of the pandemic.
