In this week's sermon, we continue our series "Last Words." This week we look at the 3rd and 4th statements that Jesus makes from the cross that show his solitary state in the midst of his death. It is important to look at and contemplate this in order to grasp the gravity of the crucifixion in order to grasp the gravity of the resurrection. We cannot have one without the other, as easy or more pleasant as it might be to rush the cross in order to get to the empty tomb. We're glad that you made it to this sermon! In this week's sermon, we continue talking through our plum lines, or guiding principles, by covering the topic of doing church in small groups. We believe that God calls us to do church in small groups that do life and take care of one another, rather than one big group that does corporate worship together. By doing church in small groups, we are more able to adequately follow the "one another" commands throughout the New Testament. If you're a member of FBC West and would like to join a life group, use this link: https://fbcwest.com/life-group-signup/ We're glad that you made it to this video! In this week's sermon, we look at the necessity of being the salt and light of the world. As we go through our plum lines, or guiding principles, we see that we as the local church need to be having a positive community impact. We cannot do this if we aren't truly being the salt and light of the world. Jesus not only commands this in Matthew 5 but informs us that we are in fact the salt and light. As we seek to have a positive impact on our community, we have to remember the necessity of walking with Jesus and being guided by the Holy Spirit in order to truly show God's light to others. We're glad that you made it to this sermon! We are also available on youtube. For more information on our worship services or church as a whole, visit fbcwest.com
In this week's sermon we look at the idea of excellence as we continue to go through our five plumb lines. With excellence, we practice it as it is imperative to give God our very best in all that we do. God not only commands but deserves our very best. Giving him something half way done or that isn't our best completely negates all that we believe God to be and waters down what Jesus has done for us. We're glad that you made it to this video! We are also available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts. For more information on our worship services or church as a whole, visit fbcwest.com

This applies to all aspects of life, as we look at that any other way we try and be strengthened will always fall short. God wants us to thrive. Not in a prosperity sense, but in a way that is actively serving and living for him. And the only way to do that is by living through his strength. We're glad that you made it to this sermon!
