In our culture, we celebrate events and people that are important to us-birthdays, sporting events, holidays, etc. The Jewish feasts in the Bible were reminders of Who God Is and What He Had Done. Passover celebrated God's deliverance from slavery in Egypt, The Feast of Tabernacles celebrated God's faithful provision during the desert wanderings. Hanukkah is a celebration of God's miraculous provision to keep the temple Menorah lit for 8 days with only 1 days provision of oil. Christmas is our reminder of God's loving and giving character– celebrating Jesus coming to earth as a baby to usher in God's plan of salvation! Celebrating who God is and what He has done helps to tune and re-tune our hearts to who we are, whose we are, and what is truly important!Join us this advent season as we learn what it means to have ourselves a “Merry Little Christmas” We'll begin our Advent Series this Sunday November, 26th, focusing on The Reason for the Season!
WHAT IS GOD DOING AT PRESENT:1) Exposing all the Jezebels/Religious part of the church that is stuck underneath the apparatus of religion and in rebellion- STUCK OUTSIDE the FEAST.2) MERCY SHEEP- PSYCHOLOGICAL - helping them understand WHO GOD IS- to help them step into ALL TRUTH – Helping people get balanced, and develop trust, and to understand that correction is NOT REJECTION- in a healthy way – the key is getting them to TRUST again…to come deeper – STOP ENABLING (MERCY) for being out of balance STOP ABRASIVENESS (TRUTH) so trauma/deep hurts stop for using sword/cutting too deep Because the church has yet to understand that God is not coming back to help them into the latter glory, HE IS COMING BACK FOR HIS BRIDE who was pushed outside into the world (through lies, Jezebel, religious behaviors, hypocrisy, double speak/double mindedness , and having them trade places with the Pharisees who pushed them out.Support the show
There have been so many times in my life when I've not felt like myself: · I didn't feel like myself when I was working 80 hours a week at a nonprofit and pouring myself into my career right after college. · I didn't feel like myself when I was single in my twenties and trying to figure out who I was when everyone around me seemed to be the exact thing I wasn't: married. · I didn't feel like myself when I volunteered to speak to college students all over the country even though I'd never spoken publicly in my life. I was trying something new and terrifying and felt like a complete fraud. I've lost myself in my work, relationships, goals and in so many other seasons of my life as I tried to discover who I really was. But any time that happened, I've only ever wanted one thing: to get back to me. Have you ever felt this way? Overwhelmed? Unfulfilled? Lost? Maybe you've been there before. Or maybe you feel this way right now. Maybe you're fighting back those questions that keep you awake at night: Is this all there is? Who am I? Why do I feel stuck? I don't know if you're in a season of changing diapers or living your life during nap time. I don't know if you're running around the clock trying to keep all those plates spinning. (I've been there.) But I believe that before your spouse or kids or job or any other role took over your life, you had a set of gifts, dreams and desires that you wanted to offer the world. Friend, I believe you are so much more than your roles and responsibilities. You're more than the job title you hold, and you're more than your current circumstances. And I believe God is inviting you to discover what that more really is. He's inviting you to get back to who He created you to be. But in order to become the best and truest version of ourselves, we have to remember these four things: 1. Who God Is: building your life on the truth in His Word. 2. Who You Are: remembering what God says about you. 3. Where You Are: finding strength for the season you're in. 4. Where You're Going: getting your hopes up for the future God has for you. Reflect: What roles and responsibilities do you carry right now? Do you feel overwhelmed or unfulfilled in them? What part of you are you hoping to get back to? Spend some time in prayer and ask God to help you remember who you really are. Sometimes it's just good to hear Him in the back of our mind saying, “it's what I do” I made you a masterpiece!! I've got great things planned for you!! Because now, we are His body in the earth. Wrap your head around this; without Him we cannot, without us He will not.
Our prayer is that today's Names give you great confidence and assurance in Who God Is and Who you are in Christ!
In our humanity In our very existence We crave validation - we want to be known and loved When we move in our calling to impact the lives around us, we will use a source of energy to continue to fuel our desire and that's based on the energy and validation we get back. I don't know a single soul who wouldn't desire this. The challenge then becomes how do we continue to choose to be a person, an agent of change, a source of love and light when there is no validation back? Emotional maturity is when we choose to plug in to the ONE power source that never fails, never leaves & never forsakes us. And that is our creator, God. You cannot let your feelings be your TRUTH

GIVE HER THE CHILD—PLEASE DO NOT KILL HIM!” BUT THE OTHER WOMAN SAID, “ALL RIGHT, HE WILL BE NEITHER YOURS NOR MINE; DIVIDE HIM BETWEEN US!” THEN THE KING SAID, “DO NOT KILL THE CHILD, BUT GIVE HIM TO THE WOMAN WHO WANTS HIM TO LIVE, FOR SHE IS HIS MOTHER!” WHEN ALL ISRAEL HEARD THE KING'S DECISION, THE PEOPLE WERE IN AWE OF THE KING, FOR THEY SAW THE WISDOM GOD HAD GIVEN HIM FOR RENDERING JUSTICE. 1. GOD'S RESCUE IS THE RESULT HIS OF COMPASSION GOD'S COMPASSION IS A HEARTFELT RESPONSE TO THE PAIN OF HIS PEOPLE. EVEN WHEN THAT PAIN IS SELF INFLICTED. Isaiah 49:13-16 SING FOR JOY, O HEAVENS! REJOICE, O EARTH! BURST INTO SONG, O MOUNTAINS! FOR THE LORD HAS COMFORTED HIS PEOPLE AND WILL HAVE COMPASSION ON THEM IN THEIR SUFFERING. YET JERUSALEM SAYS, “THE LORD HAS DESERTED US; THE LORD HAS FORGOTTEN US.” “NEVER! CAN A MOTHER FORGET HER NURSING CHILD? CAN SHE FEEL NO LOVE FOR THE CHILD SHE HAS BORNE? BUT EVEN IF THAT WERE POSSIBLE, I WOULD NOT FORGET YOU! SEE, I HAVE WRITTEN YOUR NAME ON THE PALMS OF MY HANDS. ALWAYS IN MY MIND IS A PICTURE OF JERUSALEM'S WALLS IN RUINS. 2. HIS COMPASSION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. Ephesians 2:8-10 GOD SAVED YOU BY HIS GRACE WHEN YOU BELIEVED. AND YOU CAN'T TAKE CREDIT FOR THIS; IT IS A GIFT FROM GOD. SALVATION IS NOT A REWARD FOR THE GOOD THINGS WE HAVE DONE, SO NONE CAN BOAST ABOUT IT. FOR WE ARE GOD'S MASTERPIECE. HE HAS CREATED US ANEW IN CHRIST JESUS, SO WE CAN DO THE GOOD THINGS HE PLANNED FOR US LONG AGO. WE CAN'T DO ENOUGH, BE ENOUGH, EARN ENOUGH TO BE LOVED ANY MORE OR LESS BY GOD 3.. WE ARE CALLED TO BE COMPASSIONATE Philippians 2:1-2 IS THERE ANY ENCOURAGEMENT FROM BELONGING TO CHRIST? ANY COMFORT FROM HIS LOVE? ANY FELLOWSHIP TOGETHER IN THE SPIRIT? ARE YOUR HEARTS TENDER AND COMPASSIONATE? THEN MAKE ME TRULY HAPPY BY AGREEING WHOLEHEARTEDLY WITH EACH OTHER, LOVING ONE ANOTHER, AND WORKING TOGETHER WITH ONE MIND AND PURPOSE. Colossians 3:12 THEREFORE, AS GOD'S CHOSEN PEOPLE, HOLY AND DEARLY LOVED CLOTHE YOURSELVES WITH COMPASSION, KINDNESS, HUMILITY AND GENTLENESS AND PATIENCE OUR COMPASSION FOR OTHERS SHOULD BE THE HEARTFELT RESPONSE OF HAVING EXPERIENCED THE COMPASSION OF GOD OURSELVES.
